Summary: A classic Tarantino style film with two bank robber & more.
Review: One of the best films for the tough guy and heavy action. Clooney and Tarantino are racing to mexico to excape the law and relax in a safe mexican pueblo. The pick up a family to use their RV to get accross the boarder and to a bar called the Titty Twister. Its for truck drivers and bikers only, but later on they find out those aren't the only people there. The club owner and workers all turn out to be vampires and start killing everyone. Clooney and the group battle the vampires with some interesting inventions and save the day. Not everybody survives, but lots of gun play and exploding vampires. Watch for the dance scene as one of the best on film from Selma.

Summary: Brilliant Directing from Robert Rodriguez.
Review: This movie is action packed from the get go and continues to build throughout the movie. It's the type of movie you can watch over and over again. It's one of the best sleeper movies I've ever seen.

Summary: Natural Born Killers Meet the Vampires
Review: The 90's version of the old Abbott & Costello flicks, where the "heroes" meet Dracula, Frankenstein et al. This film parodies not only the horror genre, but the the more recent crime movies featuring sociopath hipsters, a la Tarantino and Stone. Not surprising that this one was written by Tarantino, supposedly his first screenplay. Cast (Clooney, Keitel, Lewis, Tarantino, Hayek, Cheech . . .), directing (Rodriguez) screenplay and action are all great, and the film laughs at itself throughout. If you don't laugh too, you're probably missing the point. END

Summary: Doug Ross he is not!
Review: If you are looking for George Clooney in a role even remotely close to his "ER" personna, this isn't the place to find him! Clooney is a thief who, along with his brother (Quenton Tarrantino), head South of the Border to avoid capture after they rob a bank and kill a policeman. They take a father and his two kids along as a cover. Once they reach the bar in Mexico where Clooney & Tarrantino will meet with someone who will help them hide out, the real ride begins. Vampires abound and the nasty Seth Gecko (Clooney) tries to save the very people he's been terrorizing. In the end, even this nasty character has heart, something Clooney pulls off. You wind up forgetting what he's done before and you salute what he's become. Still cussing, he rides off into the sunset and you find yourself wishing you could jump in the car with him. This movie is not for the faint of heart, but an interesting change from the "ER" character Clooney is famous for. END

Summary: "Dusk Till Dawn" DVD Review
Review: "From Dusk Till Dawn" is the type of movie that you either love or hate. There really is no middle ground. As a fan of both Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, this one practically had me drooling. A cinematic wet dream for movie geeks and Fangoria readers alike, "Dusk" is an excuse to mix underrated movie stars with yesteryear's cult heroes for plenty of violent mayhem and sharp dialouge.

Dawn's first half is a crime spree flick with the psychopathic Gecko Brothers (George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino) kidnapping Harvey Keitel's disgruntled preacher Jacob Fuller and his kids and using them to hop the border. By the second half, it has managed to erupt into a full-out Mexican vampire bloodbath as the Geckos join forces with the survivors of a melee at a Mexican strip bar. Filled with funny one-liners, unrelenting violence, and more vampires than you can shake a stick at, "Dawn" is a somewhat dumb but very fun genre flick. Any movie that includes a jaw-dropping music number featuring Salma Hayek dancing around in a black G-string and matching undergarment with cleavage aplenty is sure to be a winner with at least the male demographic.

Miramax's double-disc DVD edition has pretty much every feature you could ask for. Quentin does his very first audio commentary as he and director Robert Rodriguez go back and forth on all the entertaining details of the film's production. If you couldn't get enough information from it, you also get the movie's original production featurette and a full-length documentary, "Fult Tilt Boogie" that covers nearly every aspect of the film's production. There are also a few deleted scenes. While there isn't a whole lot to offer here, there is a cool Salma Hayek snake sequence with some silly-looking digital effects. If you're a true fan of "Dusk Till Dawn", you are gonna want to pick this DVD up.

Summary: Tarantino and Rodriguez? Excellent!
Review: I've watched a couple Quentin Tarantino movies, and I absolutely loved them. I also liked 'Once Upon A Time In Mexico' from Robert Rodriguez. So as you can imagine, when I heard about this movie, I was very excited. Tarantino is a masterful screenwriter, and Rodriguez definitely has decent skills behind the camera.
After watching the movie, I have to criticize one thing. The first half (about) of the movie was flawless, with QT and George Clooney as two Convicts, the Richie and Seth Gecko. When they embark from the first scene on, it seems as though the movie could go any direction and still be entertaining. However, when you throw in a night club that is flocking with vampires (fitfully so, the club is open dusk till dawn), you can't keep the same movie that you had. I give the story a lower score due to the fact that it doesn't fit well. If you couldn't guess from the title, and you hadn't seen the trailer, you would be oblivious to the fact that the second half of this movie is all vampires. I believe it would've worked better as a full movie of either type. Crime or Horror. But nevertheless, I couldn't resist the acting from QT and Clooney, along with Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis. Other than my single complaint, I really enjoyed this movie. As bloody and violent as it is, it's just so fun.

Summary: "If you make a noise, Mr. 44 makes a noise..."
Review: Having trouble finding a good vampire flick that's exciting and scary? Looking for something that doesn't abide by regular horror genera rules? "From Dusk Till Dawn" may be the one to choose. With a sizzling screenplay by Quentin Tarantino and perfectly directed by Robert Rodriguez, this is a horror/thriller to remember.

The Gecko brothers are two extremely violent criminals who end up taking a family hostage. The family is forced to drive the notorious brothers to the end of the border. They end up making a pit stop at a Mexican bar, where the brothers are supposed to meet their contact. However, things get out of hand when it turns out that the place is contaminated with vampire strippers and truckers. You add all of those elements together and you get one hell of a ride that you'll never forget.

I'm not the biggest fan of vampires, but I thought this was an EXCELLENT movie. It's unpredictable and exhilarating. You have no idea where the movie will take you until it's all said and done. This is not your ordinary vampire flick, and that's what makes this movie so great. It's a breath of fresh air and so much more.

The acting really makes the movie what it is. George Clooney gives a remarkable performance (this was before he was the big star that he is today). Quentin Tarantino does a great job of contributing dark and chaotic humor to the film with his role. Other major players include Harvey Keitel, Juliet Lewis, Cheech Marin and plenty more. The screenplay by Tarantino is great and never misses a beat. It's packed with snappy dialogue that one would not expect to hear in a horror movie. Rodriguez does an exceptional job of directing as well.

I don't have the fully loaded version of the movie, so I am stuck with the plain version for now. The picture quality looks pretty good, considering that it isn't enhanced for widescreen TVs. The sound is really lacking, though. I had to keep fumbling around with the volume controls throughout the movie, as it kept going from being quiet to extremely loud. That might be reason enough to get the Collector's Edition of the film. A theatrical trailer and teaser trailer are both included on the DVD, but those are the only extra features you'll find on this DVD version.

"From Dusk Till Dawn" is a wildly entertaining flick that really stands out from the others. It has some extremely funny moments, as well as some very scary and exciting sequences. This movie pretty much has it all. If you're looking for a horror/thriller movie that isn't like the rest, give this one a try. This is definitely one of my favorites.

Summary: Violent, crude, disgusting, and loved every minute of it
Review: From Dusk Till Dawn is one of my all time favorite films.
The story which I won't tell because I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't seen it stars George Cloony and the Brilliant writer and director of Pulp Fiction, Quinten Tarantino.

The story is quite amusing and very WELL ACTED I might add.
This was my favorite Cloony film. It's a very odd Vampire flick too. The gecko brothers are f-d up. Especially Tarantino's character.

This is an awesome film for people who want to see something f-d up.

A word of a warning. This movie is incredibly and I mean incredibly graphicly violent in so much ways. You see Limbs and heads being cut off and sliced off, and some times disturbing.
It's also high on language. You'll probably here cloony say the F word probably atleast 70 times.

Over all it's not a film for little ones.
check it out.

Later
