Summary: A Great Motivator for a Great Workout
Review: I have taken Alan's step aerobics and weight training classes for a number of years. The step classes are simple but get your heart rate up quickly. At the end of the class you have sweated a ton. Then continue on with his weight training class and you have lost a few pounds in one day. Alan is an excellent instructor and a great motivator. The video is great!

Summary: Want a good workout? Work with Allan Harris
Review: I must say i have worked with Alan Harris before and he has helped me drop 25 pounds. His tapes and workouts are for serious people only. if you are not really serious about losing weight or doing a serious work out this tape is not for you. This tape is for people who are serious about getting their body in shape, being healthy and control. I defintely recommend this tape.

Summary: Advanced Step Workout by Alan Harris
Review: I read the previous consumer reviews, but unfortunately it was only after I had purchased the DVD. I think this was an ABSOLUTE rip off! What in the world is so advanced about this work out? I feel that this was totally false advertising. The instructor was obnoxious. I would not recommend this video to a beginner they would be totally confused. The worse part is I just received the DVD today and watched it and I'll be damned if I dont get my money back.

Summary: Absolute Waste
Review: I wish I had read the reviews before I opened this DVD. At the beginning of the workout I was laughing... I thought it was a joke. But by the end I wanted to cry because I wasted my money. The moves are repetetive and boring. The filming is awful. Camera zooms in on participants faces or other body parts that should not be shown! While Alan is upbeat and energetic, it is sometimes difficult to understand what he is shouting. There is a brief segment at the end of the workout where he turns up the intensity. But just as I started breaking a sweat, the workout was done...without a cooldown segment! Do not buy this DVD...I'll give you mine!

Summary: A little too much Alan
Review: Overall I did get a decent sweat out of this video, but I have to say I really just wanted to tell Alan to shut up! Some of the camera angles made it difficult to see which foot and which step were coming up next. You see one cameraperson more than I would like and it is distracting. Pretty good step workout, more basic steps than advanced, but the pace is quicker.

Summary: Horrendous DVD!!
Review: This instructor is rhythmically-challenged and unbearably obnoxious. His steps managed to be both boring and off beat. The production quality is laughable and clearly the work of amateurs. I've been a step instructor for 10 years and this is absolutely, hands-down, the worst video/DVD I have ever viewed. I actually thought it was a joke. His demeanor is so annoying and inappropriate, it's like viewing a satire of a fitness instructor. Although I've made numerous purchases, I have never commented on any video/DVD before. This was so BAD I had to. In fact, I intend to write Mr. Harris a letter.

Summary: so so bad!
Review: This is my first review ever, i felt that it would be important to let everyone know how bad this DVD is. I wish i knew before i bought it! When i played it it was so demotivating that i just stood there starring at the screen and realizing that this is the worse workout video i've seen in my life! he is so annoying and the video looks very unprofessional. the only thing that looks good is the cover! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS! I would give it no stars if I could.
