Review: Quite possibly one of the best horror films ever made. Freddy is at his most sinister and comes across as a genuine nightmare-stalking figure rather than the clown he became in later films. There is a genuinely chilling atmosphere and excellently thought-provoking diologue. Unmissable!

Review: THis is my faverite horror movie and it has been for 12 years. It frightened mebeyond belief as a child,and to this day I wont watch it alone at night. Wes Craven is a creative genious and deserves more respect than anyone else in the horror industry, because his movie does what other movies only claim to do it actually scares people. This movie is so dark and morbid I was tokin one day in the daytime and i watched this movie I became entranced, and became so scared during the school boiler room scene I had to turn it off. This movie will never be matched by its sequels or any other movie it is a timeless masterpiece. and anyone who says it aint a good movie is right!! Its a great movie, The best of all time. Go get this movie and see what true horror is and should have been.

Review: THIS WAS A REALLY GREAT HORROR MOVIE. ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T GET SCARED, IT'S STILL A GOOD MOVIE! FREDDY KRUGER IS AWESOME! I LOVED THAT BLOND GIRL AND JOHNNY DEEP'S DEATH SCENE'S. I ALSO LOVE NANCY'S NIGHTMARES. I DIDN'T LIKE NANCY VERY MUCH AND I THOUGHT THE ENDING WAS KIND OF STUPID, BUT OTHER THEN THAT, A GREAT HORROR MOVIE!

Review: this is, as any typical wes craven movie, dumb silly and not at all effective. The plot is ludicrous and freddy cruger looks like a refugee from a costume party. I saw this once and almost fell asleep watching this absurd, silly and just plain dumb horror of a movie. It baffles me how people could consider this a great film. it is a great film to go to sleep to. The effects are poor and unconvincing, and the acting is awful, there is no suspense and Freedy Kruger could make me laugh if this weren't such a dopey film. Avoid this as one should all wes craven films including scream.

Review: This movie is the best horror movie I ever seen. Altough Robert Englund is not my personley favorit characther, This is the best horror movie ever. Evereybody should see this. The Scene when Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) burns Freddy was the best scene in the movie.

Summary: Okay, but no match for Friday the 13th
Review: I saw this movie recently for the first time. I had already seen all 9 Friday the 13ths. This was okay, and it was an interesting concept, but it just wasn't that good. It was neither really scary nor funny. One scene with Johnny Depp's character, near the end, was hilarious, but that was it. It also did not explain how to kill Freddy, and the ending sucked. No offense.
