Summary: A dog's life
Review: Don't expect this type of overacting Disney movie that can be a sweet movie. It was pretty funny. It will be better than the second movie 102 Dalmatians.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Calling all dogs, we must find the puppies!
Review: We purchased the cartoon version at our first opportunity, and this has been a heavily watched movie by our kids, especially when they were pre-kindergarten. This is still my 6 year old daughters favorite movie and the family voted it #8 of 41. Not quite up to the production standards of other Disney movies, this one was popular with all 5 children and is very watchable with repeat viewings. It narrowly beat out Fox and the hound for the 8th spot.

Cruella De Vil sees the 15 puppies of Pongo and Perdita and decides that she needs to make a polka dot Dalmatian coat with their fur. Her henchmen kidnap 86 puppies from around London and with these 15 she has 101. Pongo and Perdita call upon their doggie friend to search for the lost pups in hopes of engineering a rescue.
We had a lot of fun by gathering the family together to rank the 41 Disney movies we have that include some cartoon work. All the kids, ages 6 to 27, participated along with mother and dad. Peter Pan is no Codfish, we rank it #2. Lion King was selected number 1 of the 41 as the family favorite, but narrowly. Peter Pan was 2. Pete's Dragon 3, Beauty & the beast 4, Sleeping Beauty 5, Snow White 6 and Robin hood 7. These 7 movies all received a 5 star rating from us and complete our magnificent 7.

Summary: "Catch those puppies"
Review: This is a live action movie for the 1961 animated movie with the same expect for the animated movie was titled One Hundred and One Dalmatians. This one is title 101 Dalmatians, which makes it easy to write. The first ran about 80 minutes, and this one runs about 103 minutes. In the animated movie, Curuella De Vil and Anita were school mates, and here Cruella DeVille is Anita's boss. In the animated movie Roger worked as a songwriter, but in this movie, he is a video game disigner, who can't win the approval of a boy (Zohren Weiss), and he can't come up with a good villian for his games. As the movie opens, we meet Roger (Jeff Dianels), and his dalmatian Pongo, who takes walks around London. And we meet Anita (Joelyn Richardson) who works as a fashion designer for Cruella De Vil (Glenn Close). Cruella De Vil asks Anita to step in her office, and makes one change to Anita's drawing, to create a fur coat, and amits that she loves and lives for fur. One day Roger is out on a walk with Pongo, and all of a sudden, he finds another dalmatian and falls in love with this dalamtian. And he keeps running so fast, until he loses his owner, and the bike crashes into a park bench, which causes Roger to go falling into a pond. When he gets out, he goes off looking for Pogno, and mistakes Anita's dog for her own, (Anita's dog is calle Percy), they meet, and all a sudden, Anita ends up heaving her dog chaing after Pondgo, and she ends up into the pond, and wet like Roger. They go to Roger's house, where they discover a problem, their dogs has fallen in love, and both will be heart broken, when Anita and her dogs has to leave, and meaning to ask Anita if she would like another cup of tea, he says "Would you like another cup of marriage?" And before you know, they become husband a wife.

Summary: Classic Disney story made better
Review: There are few times when an original story is remade and it comes out better. This film is one of them. I loved this film. It was brilliantly done and I applaud Disney for making it.

Summary: Cruella and the puppies...an excellent video to share
Review: This live action version of the Disney 101 Dalmations hit is engaging for tots and adults alike, particulary of course when viewed in a cozy setting, allowing for cuddling and reassurance during a few scary spots. Glenn Close is the quintessential villainess and does the job A++. Joely Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave's lovely daughter, and Jeff Daniels as her hubby, are wonderfully fine at representing the young couple with the dalmations, and the puppies. It has something for everyone, no doubt about that. The bumbling bad guys are a hoot, the dogs wonderfully engaging, the wintry scenes in the country are truly charming. Great fun; don't miss it. Add to you library whether you are 2 or much, much older

Summary: AMAZING
Review: 101 dalmations is hands down the best and most underrated disney animated film in existence. The "live" version with Glenn Close was a complete insult and disgrace and did not even deserve to be made. And to go as far as "102" dalmations is a complete and utter disgrace. Skip those "versions" if you can even call them that, and please, please watch the cartoon version! It is amazing...the drawings are incredible and i respect the fact that this was created without computer assistance--i admire the artists so much. At times i forget that i am watching a cartoon. Not only is the art amazing, the characters a so well-developed (particularly cruella de vil) and the voices are suited perfectly to the characters. The story in itself is so clever and i never tire of watching it. This movie is AMAZING and should not be pushed aside.

Summary: What a waste of money
Review: This is a waste of money. I don't even want to hear another word on that movie. I saw it with some friends. One didn't like that movie. He got scared of it. It should be Rated PG-for some thematic elements instead. What is wrong with Walt Disney. If I were you I would skip it and see 102 Dalmatins. Think of it. I really like Monsters Inc. Toy Story 2 and Toy Story. What a waste of time and money.

Summary: The Best
Review: I admire this movie for the cruelness and wickedness of Cruella. The best example of this is when she tries but fails to buy the puppies from Anita and Roger. So she sends Horace and Jasper to steal them. Now it's a wild chase to return the puppies to their home. It's an action-packed and exciting movie. I also recommend 102 Dalmatians.

Summary: Really Really Good
Review: I think Cruella is pretty mean. I like the part where she tries to buy the puppies. It was good fun to watch. I also like 102 Dalmatians.
