Summary: The Battle Between Cats & Dogs.......................
Review: The movie is a story about an adventerous puppy named lou,he's mistaken for a new recruit from the academy where dogs train to pertect the human race from the Cats...You see, lou's new owners are related to Professer Brody,a Scientest trying to create to cure for dog allergies...The Cats are trying to get the forfula before people are able to have because if noboby was allergig to dogs more people would want them and then the Cats would be outcast, and out numbered in the battle between cats & dogs, but If the catys could get a hold of it they could reverse the formule so that EVERYONE would be allergic to dogs and they would be defeated at last!!!!!!!And one Cat named Mr. Tinkles, has got a plan to speard the reversed formula to everyone in the world!!!!!!!!That's why the dogs need someone to protect the Brody's, but can lou do that, can he beat the best the cat's can throw at him ????????????????????

Summary: Cute and funny
Review: I enjoyed this movie. The plot was cute but may be kind of hard for the real younger crowd to understand. Sometimes the action scenes where far and in between which may keep younger kids uninterested in it for awhile. As a family movie it was good. There was enough humor in it for adults to get a kick out of it. Especially if you have cats and dogs in your house.

Summary: Don't go in with high expectations...
Review: This film is not there to give you realistic plot. It's talking Cats and Dogs for ChristSakes! But it is long on humor. You have to go into this knowing that what you are about to see is make-believe. So don't go into this thinking you will see realistic situations that a trained animal could do. Watch it for the fun of it and laugh right along with it and you'll love it.

Summary: Cute, but
Review: This was a cute movie because of the dogs, but it wasn't as good as what I thought it would be. It lost the interest of our twelve year old and my husband and I finished watching it just because we had paid for it. I have no desire to watch it again. If you have a choice of Cats and Dogs, Dr. Dolittle II or Shrek - definitely opt for the last two.

Summary: NOT what I thought ...
Review: Go on the assumption that this is going to be a "CUTE" movie for the animal lovers... BUT..... HUMMMMMM NO! I did NOT like this movie and just wish I had selected something else...

Summary: Good kids flick
Review: Hmmm... This was ok. We rented it this weekend. The kids watched it several times. The writers did a good job of coming up with lines for the animals.

Special effects were just so-so. Nothing really special.

If you have kids, this is a good one to pick up for them.

Summary: Its ok...
Review: The movie was ok....but I didn't like the idea that all "cats" are evil and all "dogs" are good. I mean some cats and some dogs are evil/good... but not all of them fit into one category. Other than that, I thought it was ok...

Summary: dogs rule cats drool
Review: The movie starts with a really fat cat, who is hungry for power, trying to take over the world. He wanted to steel a formula that one professor worked on. The formula was antiallergy from dogs. The evil cat wanted to redue the formula to make all the people in the world to be allergic to dogs.
Dogs sent a secret agents to protect the professor and stop the evil cat. The cats kidnapped the professor and his family and the dogs couldnt stop him. The cat bribed the mice to go in the sewer

and spread the new formula to humans all over the world. They locked a professor in the room and set it on fire, but the dogs wore on time and saved the ptrofessor and his family than defited the cats and imprisoned all mice. The cat was left with his old house keeper that he really hated.
I think this movie is O.K. because the dogs were funny. The cat agents were realy ugly though.

Summary: Family fun with good effects
Review: This family movie will offer great fun for all, or at least all dog lovers. Here dogs are the undisputed good guys, whilst cats are all evil. Cats are underway to ensure that scientist Jeff Goldblum will never finish his serum to make all humans allergy-free to dogs. They plan to reverse the effects to make everyone allergic to dogs.

Perhaps the most frustrating thing about 'Cats And Dogs' is that it's obviously biased, especially for a movie that scoffs at people for actually having a favourite animal! That said, the special effects are fantastic and it's jam-packed with great characters and one-liners. For instance, a dog labelling himself 'Toto Annihilation' will have you rolling in your seats. Plus there's the fact that cat lovers can console themselves in the fact that the felines are undoubtedly the best characters, from the dictatorship of Mr Tinkles to the Samurai fighting cats and the Russian spy cat. The dogs, for their part, are mostly pretty wet, except for a marvellous Susan Sarandon as a stray mutt. Although it's surprising that many of the celebrity voices are highly unrecognisable. Indeed, you hardly notice Alec Baldwin or Toby Maguire.

Unfortunately though, for all it's style and obvious wit, it still has such a lame plot that you'll be gagging from some real action. It's the characters that engage rather than the big action sets. The idea is good too, but it's still more flashy effects than story or character progression. Thankfully though, the ladles of sickly sentiment are not as bad as in many kids' movies.

Summary: AVERAGE
Review: Three generations of my family watched this film over Christmas. The kids' attention wandered, and their grandparents fell asleep about two-thirds of the way through.

The opening sequence is great, and the film has some good moments, but basically it's a single over-stretched joke, viz. "live" action of animals dressed as spies, ninjas, etc.

In short the film is satisfactory, but did not live up to expectations. My kids got this and "Shrek" at Christmas, and it has been "Shrek" that has held everyone's attention.
