Summary: Very disappointed
Review: I was hoping to get a good "family" movie we'd all enjoy. My daughter was un-interested, and my wife and I sat waiting it for to be over. I would have given it one star except for the fact there was decent effects...and I like animals. See Dr. Doolittle 2...a much better choice!

Summary: Raining Cats and Dogs!
Review: Great film for a family that's silly enough to be amusing. A treat to watch and an entertaining production. The imaginative plot and the funny dialect make this movie a one that a lot of people would find amusing. Never has the chase between a cat and a dog been so modern, fun, and exciting. The story doesn't really matter when you are thoroughly amused by the special effects and the computerized characters in the film. This film was an hour and a half of ridiculous fun and amusement. It would be recommended for everyone who liked Harry Potter, Shrek, and even the matrix. Though a lot of people would prefer Harry Potter and Shrek, this is also a film that children and a lot of adults would like. It's like Harry Potter and it's magical scenes and shrek and it's matrix type fighting effect. Very enjoyable!

Summary: Insipid, tiresome rubbish
Review: What were these people smoking? If this is one of the great family classics of the year, as some of these reviewers suggest, it's time to throw the television out the window and take up knitting.

Examples of the kind of comic touches the picture relies upon: When the kid rejects the cute puppy and calls him "Loser," the whacky but pedestrian Mom decides to name him "Lou" (Get it? Nudge, nudge.). When the stereotypical absent-minded geeky professor takes a whiff of some particularly potent dog allergens, he sneezes and breaks out in big pink computer-generated spots! When a Russian assassin cat needs a weapon, he coughs one up that's disguised as a hairball! When the evil cat Mr. Tinkles is consigned to purgatory at the end, he falls into the clutches of four, fat, ugly, heavily-foreign-accented housemaids who dress him in cutesy costumes! This stuff is trite. It's also boring.

The human characters are leaden. The talking animals are predictable. Give this a wide berth.

Summary: Cats & Dogs
Review: If you have a dog or cat, you will love this movie. We shared it with our Chinese friends who do not know english very well. The body language is an universal language for adults and kids.
There were many laughs. I cannot understand anyone criticizing this movie. They must not like animals or were deprived of pets growing up. I feel sorry for them.

Review: This movie did not live up to its hype, and parts were just plain nasty. An occasional chuckle did not make it worth the ticket price. Save your money!

Summary: I haven't Laughed so Hard
Review: What a great movie for the family. I have now wathced it 10 times and I am still enjoying the movie.

Summary: Fun movie for the kids, young at heart parents & adults
Review: I would imagine this movie was actually aimed at children but it is entertaining for anyone not insistent on something serious. The plot is actually better than some so called serious movies, if you accept intelligent dogs & cats, kids especially should like it. The cat's world domination plan was almost like something out of a 007 movie, the lead cat looked like the cat one of Bond's enemies used to have, even the gadgetry was mostly good. There appeared to be more animatronic cat work than for the dogs this and the computer altered facial expressions seemed less successful on the cats. This and the dog headquarters and transport system were the weakest points for me, that and a little violence. One note of interest, Charlton Heston did the Dog Chief's voice.

Summary: Poor excuse for a family movie!
Review: We started out watching this movie as a family, by the time it was over only my 10 year old son was still watching, and even he was playing Game Boy at the same time. Not a good story, very canned and lifeless. Extremely unbelievable. Boring.

Summary: I like the fact that cats r trying 2 rule the world....
Review: But this didn't cut it and the graphics were the main reason why. The moves of the animals were not real nor realistic. I know animals cannot do those moves anyway but it just didn't flow like it could even be close to real.

Some parts were cute but all in all it wasn't a funny movie. I would say that if you're going to try this movie...rent it or lend it from a friend before you go out and spend money on it!!
