Summary: Don't miss this video
Review: This is the first full lenth movie my 2 year old son watched. He absolutely loves it! He sings and dances along with the characters. He has learned new vocabulary words and uses them regularly. As a parent, I was amazed that I even like this video and have not gotten sick of it. Best of all, the moral emphasizes the importance of visualizing and believing in our dreams.

Summary: barneys great adventure
Review: this movie gives all 1 to five year olds what they want. singing and dancing Barney. Instead of 45 minutes though, it's better it's like 90 minutes. No need to rewind too soon and they actually sit that long. Barney is fine for kids for not meant for moms and dads. So, chill out Barney haters, find something else to do while those little ones soak up the Barney tunes.

Summary: Barney's BAD Adventure
Review: This movie isn't adventurous, but really boring. As usual, when your kids see Barney on TV, you expect the characters to sing songs in this movie.

Barney takes a trip with the kids to their grandparents' farm because there is a missing egg, also a first grader named Cody, one kid who doesn't belive in Barney. As soon as Barney learns that Cody doesn't believe in him, he sings "Just Imagine" and tells Cody that this was his imagination.

There are no new songs in the film, they're mostly ones you all heard before. I, myself find it hard to enjoy a movie with singing, and it gets even worse when there are no new songs at stake. Notice that there is a song called, "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" in the movie. For your kids, this may be the first time they've heard that song, but it is nothing important, and not a new song either.

Your kids will be yearming to see something else, this movie didn't appeal to me at all. It's very lighthearted compared to most films. My cousin saw this for his first movie experience and HATED it. He was two and decided to see dirtier movies to help him express his opinion on Barney's Great Adventure.

Also, it's no surprise that this movie is a torture for adults. Now, it's year 2001 and we've seen better movies. It got terrible reviews from critics and I think they are right on. Avoid the film by any means.

Summary: THIS MOVIE ISN'T FOR KIDS AT ALL
Review: This movie isn't for kids. It has profanity and sceens of barney holding a lit cigar! it's a shame the way these people make these movies these days. I would have given it no stars but it wasn't an option. please parents out there think before you buy. please.

Summary: Fantastic Story
Review: This story is about the adventure of Barney and his pals during whom they tried to put the strange egg back to where it landed. Barney and his pals used imagination, such as turning the wood log into aeroplane. This arouses the curiosity of every child, especially my 31 months old son. My son liked it very much. There were many lovely songs presented in the movie, like twinkle twinkle little stars, in which toddlers loved so much.

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: This was a really great movie. I loved the change from just being on the Barney set. This movie is fun for the whole family. Barney takes three children on a grand adventure, through a farm, a cirus, and a parade in search of a magical egg that can show you your dreams. I'm 20 year old christian and I'm not ashamed to say I still love Barney. My 17 year old sister does too. We have just as much fun as the kids we watch it with. It sickens me when I hear adults saying hateful comments about such a beautiful, kind-hearted creature like Barney. It tells me a lot about their character. It's foolish! Any parent should love the values and goodness Barney installs in children. It's how I want my children to be -- Just like Barney!

Summary: Non-imaginative rehash of the usual Barney material.
Review: Those who would normally expect the quantum leap in magic the big screen makes possible will be very disappointed. After putting out $$ apiece for me and the kids, we walked out of the theater after only one hour and ten minutes feeling ripped off. Of course, you'd think that buying the video is something else altogether: but, alas, with this movie you don't even get what you pay for at the reduced cost-experience of video purchasing. Very few new songs. A pitifully linear story line goes nowhere and is so empty-ended that it make this an INSTANTLY forgettable story for even the youngest of children. True, it's harmless, but it's nothing else, either. As an adult who sees the value of Barney (simplistic morality and civility lessons for children), the full-length possibilities could have explored the origin of Barney, perhaps even a new family member. or perhaps really get into a deeper concept for children. But we see nothing new here. In fact, we see no concepts here. There is no advantage taken in character interest--even Baby Bopp is a marginal appearance with the ol' Blankie schtick.

It's as if the day before production began the director lost the script, the author was out of town, and the studio had to produce something from scratch in one day.

Kids should see Barney for free on PBS is my recommendation. Don't buy this video for them. Don't reward a studio or children's product that got by on the bare minimum! Instead of rewarding children for their interest in this character, they are taken advantage of by a company that just wanted a few more millions. A real shame. Now you know. END

Summary: HELLO, you people!?!
Review: To the people who criticized "Barney's Great Adventure": Excuse me, but it wasn't meant for adults. You went to the movie theater for your children, RIGHT? At least it was better than Sesame Street. It at least has GOOD moral values!

Summary: How do you spell "Wrong"?
Review: To the person who entitled their review,"THIS MOVIE ISN'T FOR KIDS AT ALL", I PERSONALLY watched the movie after reading your review and watched for Barney's "lit cigar" and I'd like to know where it is in the movie?!?!?!? Oh, by the way, you must not have gone through grade 1, you spelled the word "SCENES" wrong. YOU spelled it S-C-E-E-N-S! Oh,Duh!
