Summary: its alright
Review: I just got this product about 2 weeks ago and i dont like it. I wanted the ipod really bad but it was too exspensive so i went with a cheap one. First of all the sound quality is great, and that is probably is the only thing i like about it. The reason this is a piece of ... is that the software it comes with is ...up and .... First of all to get your songs u hav to get them through a CD. I have windows media player and i have yet to find a way to convert my songs from that over to creative play center. That really .... Second the battery life is .... It only stores up to 4 measly hours, and half the time it isnt even 4. Its for you to decide but i wouldnt go with this piece of ... they give you.

Summary: Great Product
Review: I purchased this for myself and found it was incredibly easy to use. The file transfer function wasnt clear at first but all you have to do is play around with jukebox. Once you understand how it's done, you'll see that it's incredibly easy to use, just don't be afraid to experiment with the software. I have my entire computer's music collection on my Jukebox right now and its wonderful to listen to anywhere. The volume is too high but thats fine unless you WANT to lose your hearing. The batteries only last for about 4 hours so I usually have them plugged into a power supply when I am not travelling. All in all a great product.

Summary: Don't be Fooled!
Review: Last year I bought the 6 Gb version and was immediately impressed by its performance. But after heavy use, the flaws began to emerge. I am dissappointed in the recording feature, the battery life, the quality in sound, and the warranty policy. I was really excited about the recording feature in the Nomad. This feature is worthless. You can't pull the music back off the mp3 player because they don't want you to pirate music. The battery life is only about half of what they claim and if you want to buy new ones, be ready to pay about [money]for a set. It also has trouble in cold weather, especially if you try to ski and listen to music. The quality of the surround sound is very poor. I also need to mention that the player will break sooner or later, which I understand. The problem is that their warranty policy, if any, is completely unrealiable. You will have to jump through numerous loops to actually contact a technision only to find out that they don't want to fix it, even if you are willing to pay. I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Go with a more realiable company with deeper pockets.

Summary: Love it, but the User Interface is not intuitive
Review: This is a great product; I have had this item for almost two years and enjoy it tremendously. However, the user interface is not intuitive and I would recommend a totally different interface. If you like to fiddle with gadgets and spend time figuring out what button does what, you'll love it too!

Summary: Creative Labs 10GB Nomad Jukebox
Review: It's really nice to carry a lot of songs, but is difficult to navigate and slow. Since it has a hard drive it can skip, but not as easily as a cd player. sound is good. It also has re-chargable batteries (yay for the environment) but you can only use creative's brand of rechargable batteries (something i didn't know until i bought it).

Summary: WARNING...
Review: Creative Labs should be ashamed of themselves for putting this product on the market. This completley wiped out the hard drive of my PC and blew my circuit breaker.... A huge waste of money and time. Words can not express my dissapointment with this product and company. You have been warned.

Summary: Four Months and Done
Review: I recieved the Jukebox as a gift and at first thought it was great. My only complaint was that it was'nt loud enough and the file transfer was a little complicated. But just when I mastered the applications it went into critical error and would power off right after powering on. I only had it four months when this happened and when I inquired about the warranty I was told that it only had a three month warranty. The unit was never abused in any way. I will never buy or recommend anyone else to Creative products. If you read the other negative reviews you will find similar warranty issues and product failures.

Summary: Serious QC Problems
Review: Do not buy Creative lab products. After contacting customer service multiple times about a warranty item, I talked to one of their techs, who said that they estimate 10% product failure on their products. My options were to pay to have it fixed, with another 10% chance that the repair could fail, or get the broken part back. They do not stand up behind their products. Don't throw your money away.

Summary: Excellent!!
Review: This is the coolest little device I have ever come across. With 10 gigs of HD you can store up to 2500 songs. You can hook up your computer speakers, a microphone or a pair of headphones, and with gold-plated input/output jacks you get crystal clear sound every time. Here's how the OS works, first you find the the music you want by scrolling through a list of ether album titles or artist names then what you selected is transfered from the HD to the RAM so it doesn't waste time or batteries while waiting for the disks to wind up for every song. Don't have the time to scroll through your music collection? just use the search option to quickly find what your looking for. Can't find a light switch? Just use the built in back-light And I suppose you wondering how you get you music from your computer to your Jukebox. A USB 1.0 connection transfers your music instantly. Will it work with WMA and MP3 formats you say, well I say that have both are completly compatable with it, so bust out your wallet(or purse) and have it come to your door today!

Summary: A good quality product, at a cheap price!
Review: ... This system is excellent. The sound is great although it depends on how well the MP3s are encoded. 128 bit encoding is kindof low end, go for 192 instead. The music sounds just as good as a CD, sometimes better ...The headphones included are fine, but I put on my room mate's ear muff headphones and it sounded spectacular. Great bass, and it uses Creative's EAX sound enhancers. The only drawbacks I have witnessed so far s that the interface took a little toying with to get comfortable with, but once you're familiar with it it's easy. The Creative PlayCenter 2 software used to organize the music from your computer is a different story. ...It's like they went out of their way to make it overly-complicated to do simple tasks. The navigation in it is clunky at best, just overall asinine, but it is possible to get what you want done with a little patience and initiative.
