Summary: Even good enough for professional headshots!
Review: I am an actor who is fortunate enough to be related to a professional photographer. After going to him and getting 300 digital photos taken for a headshot, all I needed was a printer. I read the reviews, and took my chances with this one. Some of the photos were taken from my knees up, and I trimmed them so that all you could see was my head and shoulders. Then I printed them onto 8 1/2" x 11" high gloss photo paper. (Consider how much the pixels expand in this process.) When I brought it to some people in the business, they couldn't distinguish it from a photo! Of course you'd need a very high quality digital camera produce something like this, but I am very impressed that a $... printer was capable of handling the task. Also, you can buy the ink cartidges for very reasonable prices. If you plan on doing a lot of photo quality prints, this will save you a lot of cash.

Summary: happy consumer
Review: i basically brought this printer for my 11 year old son school projects and my occasional print jobs and i found myself to be lucky with this one. first i must say the extremely fast shipping from amazon.com (2 days and it was free) then the cheap price with the rebate.WOW.. you cant beat it. easy step by step set up. printing quality was superb. i didn't give it the big 5 stars because it is quite noisy. i can deal with it though.the small compact size makes it the ideal printer for the bucks.

Summary: Fine for the money
Review: I bought an iMac and wanted a new printer to go along w/ it...we use our home computer for basics like internet, e-mail, etc...the only need I have for a printer is to print basic text like e-mails, directions from Mapquest, etc...if this is all you plan on using your printer for, you can't go wrong for $59 bucks! The printer is small, and looks good.

Summary: You get what you pay for
Review: I bought this because of the rebate, and I just wanted a simple printer that will print decent photos. From all the reviews I read, I thought I was making a wise decision. When I tried to print pictures, they came out all grainy. It's loud (which I didn't mind), extremely light (material feels cheap), portable, LIGHTENING FAST print speed (even when printing pictures, perhaps this' not a good thing), and picture quality cannot even compare with HP 940C that I used to have (which is now obsolete, and costs around $60). I guess this would be a really good printer for someone who wants to print text occasionally (since INK is really CHEAP!), but definitely NOT recommended for photo printing! Hey, it costs only $45, what more do you expect? I'm going to return this one and pay twice the amount for Canon i550, which I hear is 1000 times better!

Summary: Nothing but Trouble
Review: I bought this printer and tried to get it working for the good part of a day with no luck. After a 2 hour conversation with technical service it was determined to be a hardware problem. I then exchanged the printer and spent the next 2 days (and 4 more hours with technical services on the phone) trying to get the printer to print. This time the printer worked a few times and then it would print approximately 30% of the print project and then lock up. I could not fully purge the print document unless I rebooted.I had 15 print projects which would normally take 30 minutes to complete and ended up completing 10 of them in 6 hours. Technical services for Canon is NOT a toll free number so I ended up returning the printer because the long distance charges were about to exceed the cost of the printer. I now have an Epson Stylus C82 and it is an awesome printer. Read my review at the Epson Stylus C82. I will never again purchase a Canon i320 and after this experience I probably will not buy another Canon product. I believe that I pay for the technical support of a product when I purchase the product and I should not have to pay again with long distance numbers. Incidently, on their instakllation guide there was 4 different phone numbers for various departments. The ONLY number that was not toll free was technical services. :(

Summary: Little, but oh so frustrating
Review: I bought this printer because (1) it is CUTE!, (2) Relatively inexpensive, (3) FAST (10 ppm b&w, 7 ppm color), (4) Canon (one of the TOP 3). I went home and found out that the ink runs out really quick. So have plenty of back-up ( I recommend at least two). The printer is small and cute and looks perfect next to an I-nmc or in a dorm. I live in a dorm and it looks so good that others look at it and think it is a stereo.

The bad:
noisy. shaky. feeder to the printer can run amuck and cause havoc (watch the printing process, don't run to the bathroom or answer the phone while printing).
It is very very very light. So of course, when printing, the table or something shakes. Something's gotta give, right?
The color is decent. Not as great as a S300 (my roommate's) or an Epson c60. But it is very decent (I'd compare it to a S200).

I do like the price. But the ink will run you an average of [a considerable amount]a year if you are a student. I am one, and I've bought one extra one already, and it has ONLY been two months.

I would LOVE to recommend this to all. Especially the female computer users. But there are quite a bit of setbacks and it will ultimately frustrate a buyer. Buyer Beware.

Summary: An Average Printer...
Review: I bought this printer because my old canon stopped working. This printer prints ok, but it is noisy. It warms up like everytime i would print. But overall, for the price of replacement ink cartridges, it is a pretty nice printer.

Summary: a good printer for the money
Review: I bought this printer for my son and was very pleased with the quality of work it does. It is compact in size, but it performs very well. I was glad I did not have to pay alot more to get the good clean documents it prints.

Summary: Excellent Printer - So Much Fun and Easy to Use
Review: I bought this printer last week and I have yet to be dissapointed. For the price, the print quality is superb. Also, it was very easy to setup. It's a nice weight so it doesn't feel like a toy. I've printed several photos and they look just like they were developed by a professional. The key to great prints is to buy the best compatible peripherals, (quality photo paper and inkjets) and you won't have any problems. HP premium photo paper works well with this printer.I also used the hp everyday photo paper. The results were good for eveyday photos but if you want potrait quality prints pay a little more and buy the best paper. So be very weary of using the less quality stuff. You will be dissapointed. This printer comes with a package of 20 4"x6" Canon high quality glossy photo paper and I made some kickin prints. Another plus about this printer is that it doesn't use a massive amount of ink, which is great for consumers on a budget. So go ahead. Print a few pictures and have loads of fun.

Summary: Great bargain for the price!
Review: I bought this this printer mainly because of the review in PC World. I was so tired of wasting money on ink cartridges for my Lexmark. When I saw the price of cartridges for this printer and read the review, I immediately went online and bought it and I'm glad that I did. The text is very clean and the skin tones seem natural on glossy photo paper. The only complaint I have with this printer is the long time it takes to warm up before printing. It rolls and rolls and rolls, stops, jerks, then rolls some more. I've timed it, so be prepared for about 40 secs of waiting.
