Summary: Exellent Product
Review: When I opened the package for the Nomad 2, I was expecting just a regular mp3 player. But no, this was more than a mp3 player. It's a FM radio and voice recorder too. It wieghs 3.1 ounces. That's pretty light. The head phones are so comfortable, I don't even know they are there. Also, the player is so resistent to movement. For example, when I go jogging, I can actually hear the song. Not just parts of your song. It's about half as big as a cd player, and is digital. My cd player is going into the garage sale. In addition, it's attractive. All my friends are always saying how cool it is. I recently bought the Nomad 2 docking station. It's great, because it recharges the battery and instead of plugging your player into a USB Port, you just pop it onto the docking station. Although, the rubber plug is a pain to get back in. 3 words to describe the Nomad 2 would be: Light, Attractive, and Convienient!

Summary: O So Sweet
Review: The Nomad 2 from Creative is a huge success in the music industry. An excellent buy for a consumer who wants both good quality and storage space. The Nomad 2 is special because it is one of the first Mp3 Players to have a radio along with it. The radio is accompanied by stoargae for roughly 15 songs with about 4 minutes per song. Along with the radio and the Mp3's there is a clock and date, personal setting, and a fast hookup with a computer. The Nomad 2 is an excellent buy suggested for anyone looking for a fair priced Mp3 Player.

Summary: Good value for the money
Review: I had read all the reviews, most notably the negative ones before buying this player. The two main problems everyone seemed to echo were that the volume level was not sufficiently high and that the reception of the FM radio was not upto par. There is some truth to both these points.

I don't like my music to be very loud, but once in a while when I am about to pass out at the gym, listening to say, "Where the streets have no name" (U2) at an ungodly volume level typically energizes me enough to complete my workout. Notwithstanding that point, the volume level is quite satisfactory in my opinion.

As far as the radio is concerned, I needed a tuner as the TV audio at the gym is broadcast over a radio frequency. There are some stations that sound great, some that have distortion, and some that it just doesn't receive. But, the few stations that I like (probably the most popular ones and therefore the most powerful ones too) sound just fine. I had problems with my Sony arm-band walkman with the others too. So, I guess it is not entirely the player's fault. The tuner worked perfectly outside the gym. I think it is fine, but I wish it were just a little more powerful.

With the exception of the above nit-picks, this is a great player. Software installation and use is ridiculously simple. The belt clip works great and so does the remote. I am not an audiophile, so the headphones sound fine to me. I don't use them however, as I have a better pair. Using the remote while running/stair-climbing/weight-lifting was easy.

All in all, a good little gadget. If the two negative points above are very important to you (they are to me), you won't be completely satisfied. But, you will still be happy. I am.

Summary: Nomad II - ho-hum
Review: Creative Nomad II plays CD quality mpeg files OK but it seriously lacks in performance and especially ergonomics. 1.)FM tuner sensitivity is poor (no DX). 2.)Low volume output (it's not the earphones). 3.)Creative Software (upgraded) locks W2000 computer. 4.)Navigating menus with tiny joystick button is cumbersome. 5.)LCD menus navigation is non-intuitive and inconsistent. 6.)Earphones are uncomfortable and interfere with glasses. Why'd I keep it? cause it was a gift.

Summary: It sure is good!
Review: The Nomad II Mp3 player was given to me by my brother who lives in the US as a gift. This was the first Mp3 player I had ever gotten and I must say, the first time I saw it, I was pretty amazed. At first, I couldn't believe my eyes - could there be a thing so wonderful yet so compact as this?Believe it or not, there is! The Nomad II is simply wonderful, unparalleled and unrivaled by any other Mp3 player out there. All I can say is that if it had more memory, it would definitely be every music lover's choice. That's why I don't give it 5 stars Looking for an Mp3 player? Here is one for you.Don't miss it!

Summary: This Player has Some Faults
Review: I bought this player to use at the gym. I think overall the ease of use and the sound quality are very good. However, the sturdiness of the equipment is questionable. This player comes with a remote control off the headphone wire that after 4 months no longer works and the clip on the remote has broken off. I called Creative, only to be told that I have to order a new one because the 3 month warranty has run out. I am not very hard on this player but even so, something like this that is portable should be able to with-stand a gym environment. So, if you are in the market for something to take to the gym, this player may not be the best choice.

Review: As far as hardware goes, it's a great player - that's why I gave it two stars. Unfortunately hardware requires software, and in this case, Creative's software support is terrible.

The software that ships requires and update - over 3.7 MG download. And if you rebuild your machine, you need to reintsall all the old software, then install the updates on top.

If you buy this player, plan on spending a lot of time messing with the software. Oh, and by the way, it crashes my computer. Maybe it will work better on your's once you get it installed, download the updates, and install those too.

I wish I'd bought something else.

Summary: amazing little wonder
Review: This is an amazing device. It is completely worth the money. The sound is incredible, the interface easy, and the software top quality. The firmware in the device can be upgraded by means of downloads. The headphones that come with it are decent and comfortable.

If you are a Mac user, pay attention: this thing comes with great, Mac-compatible software.

The radio is another great feature, there are very few mp3 players that are of this quality with a radio.

I have recently compared many cd and mp3 players, and this one is the most impressive and highest quality I have found. Completely recommended.

Summary: TOP OF THE LINE MP3 PLAYER
Review: This is the best MP3 player in my opinion, I love it. I would recommend this to everybody in search of an MP3 player. Most of the negative reviews were about, hard to open the battery cover. This hasnt been a problem for me, you just have to put your thumb on the belt clip, and push it a little bit. I dont really understand this complaint. Also people are complaining about its ability to only hold 8-10 songs in the mp3 format. Solution. go to nomadworld.com and download the newest version Creative Playcenter 2, and download the wmp7. wma files are compressed at a higher rite, better quality and take up less space. Also download a program that lets you convert mp3s to wma files. All of this is very simple , and is a one time thing . I can fit up to 24 wma files on my nomad II.. Overall ,, excellent product .
