Summary: ENDER'S GAME IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!
Review: Ender's Game is an amazing story about little Andrew "Ender" Wiggin. To anyone that has a heart out there, read it. Even if you hate science fiction, you'll still love this book if you have feelings at all. The book is so deep that anyone can connect. Card is an amazing writer and more people should understand that.

Summary: A book well worth reading
Review: The first thing to say about this book is that it takes children seriously. Although most of the characters are in the ages of 6 to 12, they are described as other authors describes adults. As the book contains almost no descriptions, either of enviroment, people, clothing, etc, it's easy to believe that the story is about teenagers, or even older people!The story isn't original, and there's not much of it anyway. Ender is taken to military school at the age of 6. There he win battles, feel lonely, grow older, and win battles again. The whole book. Still it is entertaining, one really cares for Ender, the only character really described (the others are describes in terms like "short", "fat", "young", etc, almost never more than a word). Among the strong parts are discussion about leadership, strategy and the ruthlessness of the military when trying to accomplish a mission. I liked the book and couldn't stop reading it. Now, afterwards, it seems unrealistic, Ender (and his siblings) are so much smarter than everyone else that rest of the characters seems made of plastic. The idea of having a 12 year old child commanding a space fleet is never really explained. The techonology is sometims advanced, but one notices that the book was written long before VR-technology. Still, this was nothing that bothered me when I was reading the book. It's a good one, and well worth reading.

Summary: An outstanding book!
Review: This is probably the only book that I have ever read that is better than Harry Potter. It tends to the more "serious" of matters, but Card digs really deep into your mind with this story of Ender, a young boy who is the dream of the Starways Congress with hope for him killing off the opposing alien race. He is taken from the one person he loves and put into Battle School- a harsh training program that changes his personality dramatically. The reason why I love this book is because you almost think it's something that's REAL...not the actual story, but the CONCEPTS that it implies. The plot and story itself are beyond exceptional, and the book almost taps into every one of your emotional sensors and triggers them all at one, creating one enormous explosion. Mine is definitely aimed toward perfection with this book, it starts well, ends well, and you can't put it down! It's so good you start THINKING like Ender (the main character) or the way Card writes! It's unbelievable, DEFINITELY a 5 star!

Summary: Impressive
Review: I haven't read Sci-Fi since I was in high school 14 years ago, but I really enjoyed reading Card's Ender's Game. I never thought I would find the life of a boy interesting, but the book grabbed me, and I couldn't let go until I had finished. I found the side story of Ender's siblings a bit forced at first, but once it picked up, I thought it was a pretty good addition, although I wish we could have "seen" more of the story (as in more real dialog and stuff) rather than being spoon fed a summary of events. I like the method of beginning each chapter with the converstaions of the people overseeing Ender's life, (Card used the same device in the sequel Speker For The Dead, but I didn't think it worked as well as in Ender's Game.) The last couple of chapters seemed a bit rushed to me, but I guess Card was attempting to build a bridge to Speaker For The Dead, which he actually wrote first.

Review: Ender's Game bore me to tears. It doesn't have any point to the story at all. The entire story is about a huge video game war with bugs. Blah, Blah, Blah... Please don't read this book. You'll thank me later.

Review: Ender's Game is one of the best science fiction books I have ever read. I discover something new in it every time I read it. The characters are fascinating. Ender, the six year-old military genius is one of my all-time favorite characters. The plot is very exciting and fast-paced. It is a beatiful story.

Summary: One of the better books......EVER
Review: I have never enjoyed any book as much as this one. I have to admit, I am a huge sci-fi fan, but this book went above and beyond anything else. Orson Scott Card is a wonderfully talented writer, and it really shows thoughout the book. The only reason I am on Amazon.com now is because the spine on my old paperback wore out.

Summary: worth reading
Review: I read this book about my senior year in High School and was very impressed. I think it is probably worth your reading if you are heavy into Sci-Fi. Card has an amazing mind and Ender is one of the most original characters in fiction. I haven't read the sequels, but given the free time I might. I give the book 3.5 out of 5, but I favor more Asimov style Sci-Fi. If your into the whole political/military future thing you might rate it higher. On the down side; This book will tend to wear you out at times.

Summary: First read the novella
Review: The novel is powerful and moving, but not perfect. This is because it does not have half the impact of the original novella by the same name first published in Analogue. The novella is perhaps the best piece of fiction I have ever read, and I have read about two thousand science fiction books. Also, if you like Orson Scott Card, you might try to find something from Cordwainer Smith.
