Rating: Summary: Holes Review Review: This book I though was a relly good book. It was about Stanley Yelnats who was convicted for stealing shoes. But he really didn't. He has to go to Camp Green Lake where he has to dig holes 1 a day 5' deep and 5' wide then he figures out that Zero really stole them and he finds his great-great grandfathers treasure.
Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Review: This book I would have to say is one of the best books I have ever read. The story is about an unlucky boy named Stanley Yelnats ( notice his last name is his first name backwards). His family has been cursed for years. Stanley is sent to a boys detentional center because he was framed stealing Clyde Livingston's shoes ( although they fell on his head from the sky). Now a review from me can't explain at all how good this book is so if you have any questions, read the book.
Rating: Summary: Delightful tale about an old family curse & buried treasure Review: This book is a delightful tale about a boy, a curse, some stinky shoes, and a treasure. Stanley (the protagonist) is sent to a youth camp where to build character the inmates have to dig a round 5 ft by ft deep hole every day of their incarceration. Stanley thinks he is there because of an old family curse involving his pig stealing great great grandfather who forgot to pay off the fortuneteller Madame Zeroni for her advice before coming to America. Soon a plot develops where Stanley befriends the great great great great grandson of Madame Zeroni and teaches him to read. Together they discover the secret that the Warden wants the boys to find. Stanley breaks the curse, and without giving away the ending, the Warden and Mr. Sir (the overseer) get their just desserts. At the end, everything is explained, the curse is broken, and everyone is happy, including Stanley's inventor father, his grumpy grandfather, and Madame Zeroni's great great great grandson. This book is nicely written for the 5th grade crowd, and an adventure that will keep you turning page after page. Highly recommended.

Rating: Summary: Nice,Solid read Review: This book is a great book for anyone who likes drama with a twist of action and aventure. Stanley Yelnats is sent to a boot camp called Camp Green Lake for a crime he did not comitt. Camp Green Lake is not a lake. It's just a barren wasteland. At camp Green lake badboys have to dig a 5 foot hole each day. But as Stanley gets to know the place it seems that the counsolors, the warden, Mr.Sir, and the other workers seem to want to find something under the soil, and they want the boys to dig the holes to find it...Holes is a solid read for anyone. It may seem slow in some parts but in other part the action is awesome. It is overwell a great book. Happy Reading!! Travis Robinson

Rating: Summary: Holes review by Martin Lopez and Malcolm Byer Review: This book is a great class book. It's about different people connected by their ancestors. Stanley(the main character)is under a curse. He and other kids dig big holes for punishment. Something exciting happens later in the book that changes his life in maybe a good or bad way. This book has many lessons of life that stanley goes through. He's a nice person who has to face things he's not used to. He and other people he knows have a very unique ancestry. Stanley comes from a long line of people with bad luck. Fate and coincidence are very important things in this book. Stanley has to do a punishment for somebody else's crime. This book is not just about Stanley, but he is the main character. If you are an adult or kid this would be a fun book to read. To find out what happens or happened, read this book.
Rating: Summary: Another "Hole" dug with treasure in it! Review: This book is a great read on a rainy day! A boy Stanley is falsely accused of commiting a crime. He is sent to a judge and the judge sends him to a camp for boys. But this is no ordinary camp. The counselors there make them dig huge holes everyday! But Stanely and his friend find out the real reason that has a huge twist. You have to pay attention to the story because it switches back and forth between two stories and can be confusing! Over all its entertaining and a page turner because you want to find out whether Stanely survives in the desert. Everone thinks he's dead but he comes back to tell the true story of why they are digging holes.
