Summary: Strange but good
Review: This is a book that I think is very good but frankly is very, very strange. It is about a boy who is mistakily thought to have stolen a pair of shoes and thus is sent to a camp where he must dig a hole each day that is 6 feet wide and 6 feet long. Doesn't sound hard well heres the cscht they are in a dessert where they get almost no water. Does it still sound easy. Well if you said yes your weird. I thought it was almost brotly and uninterasting at first but it gets very, very interasting.

Summary: Kids Classic
Review: This is a book that most kids thinks is better than Harry Potter. The hero Stanley is a loser living with a loser family when he is mistakenly accused and found guilty of a serious theft. Instead of going to a juvenile detention centre he goes to a civilian run program where he has to dig holes in the hot Texas sun.

The book has two broad layers. The reason for Stanley's predicament results from a historic curse his family has been subject to. The reasons for this are explained in a back narrative. Against this is the story of Stanley coping with his environment, learning how to live in a crazy system and making friends.

The message of the book is reasonably good. The world is not necessarily a sensible place but one has to keep working at things. Bizarrely enough the reform camp is not that far of the mark of some that have existed.

The book is easy to read and adult readers can read it in a couple of hours. Kids might take a bit longer but they would love it.

Summary: Book Review of Holes by a 9 year old author
Review: This is a cliche but I mean it: Holes is a breathtaking, unforgettable ride that you can never put down. The book is good for all ages because the characters' nicknames will make the children laugh and the suspense will make the grown-ups bite their nails down to their cuticles, just like Stanley Yelnats's parents when they find out Stanley stole Clyde Livingston's shoes, a famous baseball player.
Stanley goes to Camp Green Lake for his punishment. He digs holes every day to build character, but is he digging holes really to build character? Stanley doesn't think so. He meets some new friends: X-Ray, Armpit, Zero, Magnet and Zig-Zag. He doesn't use his given name but Caveman instead.
Have you ever met Sam the Onion Man or his donkey, Mary Lou? Or Kate Barlow? Well, you'll meet them all in this surprising and adventurous book.

Summary: Zero and Stanley's Adventure by Tiffany and Chrissy
Review: This is a good book about a boy named Stanley. Stanley got sent to a camp for something he didn't do. He arrives at camp and meets the warden and learns the rules. Stanely has to dig ,and they don't know what he has to dig. Stanley and a kid named Zero run away

Stanley had many conflicts in this story. Three of the biggest conflicts were the Warden,Mr.Sir, and the sunflower seed bag. The first conflict is the Warden not doing anything about the lizards. She didn't care if they died because she wanted what was in the suitcase. The second biggest conflict was Mr. Sir not giving him water. The reason that he didn't give Stanley water was of what the warden did. The third and last opposing force was the sunflower seed bag. Magnet stole them and he got caught with them.

I think you should read this if you like adventures. Holes is exciting in many different ways!!!

Review: This is a good book! I was suprised at how well it was written, considering the age level. The story was compelling, gripping and believable. The ending was a bit too much though. I recommend this book to any one who has a sense of adventure. The story would also make a great movie.

Summary: My Reading Adventure

Summary: I'm 25, and love it!
Review: This is a great and amazing book!! I highly recommend it for adults!! I read this book as my little brother (8 yrs old) had a copy and proclaimed it his -favorite- book! I was shocked at how much depth and richness there was to the book!! I hope this book takes off like harry potter!!

It is a rich, detailed story; funny and smart!! The book starts out with a boy (underdog) that is cursed. he's sent to a detention camp for a crime he didn't commit, sentenced to digging holes to build character. From there, the author sets up some history, essentially telling two stories at once.

There are so many twists and turns, layers of stories! But the book is quite easy to follow! This is a great adventurous story!

This is a fun, serious, and funny book that is likened to packs of kids in movies such Stand by Me, or Sandlot, with a touch of Lord of the flies. The book is more about enduring bonds. It's suspensful and thrilling! You'll be rooting for the main character from beginning to end!

The cover and back page don't do justice to the book, but I guess that makes it that much more exciting when you discover what's waiting inside!! I am sooo excited about this book that I will be buying copies for my friends, and neices and nephews!!
