Summary: Disgusting, obscene and full of lies
Review: I don't get it. I used to be a sharply left-wing Democrat, but after reading Living History, I changed my party to Republican, and I became a strict conservative. This book is absolute trash, and proves my former partie's point that too many trees are being destroyed for human "needs". Clintoon (yes, toon) didn't even write this example of totalitarian propaganda on historical happenings, and she is a huge disgrace to all of her miserable likspittles. I thank Clintoon for showing me which way of thinking is moral, just and on the correct side of history (the conservative way). Don't waste your hard earned, welfare money on this liberal bible.

Summary: The First Lady, wife, mother, lawyer, and Senator,
Review: Thank you Hillary, for your candor, dedication and service to our counrty. Your book is a statement to the strength and complexity of womanhood. Your personal experiences, joys and sorrows are emotions we can all relate to. Your detractors are mean-spirited, hating, cold, jealous, insecure, rigid, uptight, bigoted, boring, simple-minded, dull, pitiful, anti-woman, bullies, fearful zealots and verbal cobras. What ...have they done in their lives to even come close to your accomplishments. Shame, shame on them ! How judgemental !

Summary: Where's the beef?
Review: I really wanted to give this book a chance, and was hoping Ms. Rodham-Clinton would finally clear up some of the alleged scandals that have been flying around for a decade and a half. But alas, this was not to be the case. Instead, I found myself struggling to read on and hoping with every page that I'd get a return on my investment of cover price and reading time to learn something new that we all didn't already know.

In the end all I can say is what a wasted opportunity. Even though I pushed on to the final pages it just didn't get any better. There was one brief moment of humor when Hillary revealed her not so secret beef with Rush Limbaugh in one rather brief but humorous tale, but aside from that, for a woman who is supposed to be the "smartest woman in the world," methinks she could have found herself a better ghost writer.

Please understand, this review has nothing to do with politics. Its a dry book, period. Proving my point, even though it was just released, and suckers like myself rushed out to get one of the first copies from one of the 90's most prominent public figures, the book has already been displaced by conservative columnist Ann Coulter's new book, and Ann's book hasn't even been released yet!? That says volumes about what is NOT here.

Word to the wise for would-be buyers -- wait for your local library's copy, the wait shouldn't be too long.

Summary: Waste of time and money
Review: I expected this book's primary purpose to be to facilitate Hillary Clinton's well-known presidential ambitions. What I didn't expect was for this "tell all" memoir to tell us NOTHING new. Her book is full of excuses for her husband's peccadillos and infidelity. She of course was surprised that all of that was true (yeah, right ). I think this book has probably done her more harm than good. You've read this all before--save your money.

Summary: A brilliant woman
Review: This book shows what is lacking in politics and the majority of people today...intelligence, compassion and wanting the best for all people, no matter your politics or religion. She not only speaks with clarity but displays that she is both courageous and forgiving. With her thoughts and beliefs for our future we would have a better world...healthcare, healthy environment, sound education, responsible spending. If this is what you seek then read this book and raise your consciousness above the norm.
I admire her as a politician, as a woman, a fine parent and a wife who upheld her marital vows. I respect her views and this book highly.

Summary: zzzzzzzz
Review: Hillary's ghost writers spin fiction for the True Believers. Discredited made-up excuses for the scandals, insults to her critics, falsehoods about her husband. Without Bill Clinton, this woman would be either a law partner at an obscure firm, or in jail. Either way, we (and Bill Clinton) would be better off.

Read this when a friend loaned it to me. We both agreed on the book. She felt guilty over buying it..as she should. Maybe she can give it to someone as a gag gift.

Summary: Not What You Were Expecting
Review: Hillary writes an amazing account of her life from childhood to senatorhood. The way she writes her story makes you feel like you are sitting at starbucks with her talking about old times. Before the book came out it got so much negative press it made me think maybe it would be a disaster, but as I flip through the pages I can't believe how WRONG it all was. She is truly a real american hero of our day, all women in our country and abroad can learn a lesson from her. She is the symbol of hope to all women and someone who all little girls should hope to be like one day.

Summary: A bit too careful
Review: I have to admit that I only read half this book because I became bored by it. What could have been an explosive, fun, book is tepid and predictable because it seems to be written with one eye on the next election. I wish Hillary had written the book we would have all loved to have read. She would have become a billionaire if she did and could have dumped the husband she has now. Instead, she plays it safe....and boring.

Summary: Didn't provide any real answers
Review: Hilary is the consumate politician, who assumes that we'll believe whatever she says simply because it's in print. This book was less subtle than I expected in trying to elicit sympathy and common ground from multiple quarters, and did not provide even a sliver of what I had hoped for - her frank response to the many unanswered questions about pre-presidential Arkansas, the Rose Law Firm, why any woman would put up with a husband who "just can't help himself", and many other subjects. Instead, it's recycled self pity, and she tries to get as many people on the wagon with her as she can, in preparation for asking for their votes later. I was willing to give it a chance, but this book was very disappointing.

Summary: Mrs. President!
Review: This book wipes the slate clean and makes it easier for Mrs. Clinton to make her way to her destiny, The White House! As a person who has been slandered, villified, and abused by a careless neo-con cartel, she has emerged intact, radiant and poised. This book tells the story of a fascinating woman who is destined for even greater things.

It avoids being gratutious and salacious and shows the class that her bearing is testament to. I found the parts describing her childhood to be very interesting. I do think she let that horrible Dick Morris off too easy though. She should have let him have it, but she is too classy for that.

I only wish she would run for President in 2004. The thought of her debating G.W. Bush is just too enticing to pass up.
