Summary: Living HIS story
Review: Hillary says she "wanted to wring Bill's neck" in 1998. She was genuinely mad, but not because he cheated on her (yet again). It was because he got caught. DNA doesn't lie, and this time they couldn't either.

But Lewinsky was an isolated "sin of weakness," Hillary now spins - boys will be boys!

And the Clintons will be Clintons ... hopefully, for all of our sake, as far away from the White House as possible.

Hillary has proven the stupidty of the Democrats of New York. She has done NOTHING for NYS, and she will now collect a six figure salary for the rest of her life (senators get a full salary pension for life!)courtesy ofour hard-earned tax dollars. No wwonder she wants to increase income taxes.

You would think that New Yorkers would get a free copy of the book (not that I would want one), after all, we underwrote it and we continue to pay for our mistake.

Summary: Great for propping a door open
Review: Hillary Rodham Clinton is clearly one of the most brilliant women one could encounter in public life. However, having said that I am greatly saddened by how this clever woman has by her complicity with Bill clinton's wanton disregard for her and for the country, done more to denigrate the status of women in this country than Phyllis Schlafly.
She should have shed Bill Clinton and gone her own way - she would have shown the rest of the world that women do not have to stand for abuse of any kind. And, neither do men.
In a world where women have been reknowned for their perceptiveness as illustrated in the fairly tale where a little girl noticed that the emperor had no clothes on, Hillary failed to notice that Bill had been running around with his pants down. One has to wonder when she will have another huge blind spot attack, particularly when it pertains to the country.
What other lapse can we expect from this woman when she runs for president.
One would hope she would grow in wisdom and gain some class and dignity along the way. And maybe chronicle her growth in another book.

Summary: Sick of the Clintons
Review: The book has only been out for a week or so and already there is proof that Hillary Clinton has fabricated the truth about certain matters in this book. (The foundation the Clinton administration was founded on.) The book is nothing more than liberal propaganda attacking the Republican Party at will. I could go on and on but it is a mute point since the liberal media will keep the Clintons on the air and in the papers from now on. Keep in mind that Hillary is targeting 2008 as presidential run. She is a very dangerous woman. The hard times that our counrty are going through are a direct result of Bill Clinton's lack of leadership. We cannot afford to have another Clinton in the White House. The results would be catastrophic.

Summary: A surprisingly interesting a well written book.
Review: I haven't written one of these reviews before, but after reading through other posted reviews, I decided to have my say. Of all those giving the book a single star, only one reviewer hinted at having actually read the book. What's the matter, can't violently anti-Clintonites READ! Perhaps you should use a ghost-reader before offering your hysterical opinions. Actually, it's probably a matter of their political friends telling them to inundate the review site with such negativity so as to discourage those who may be honestly interested in knowing more about the book. Well guess what, all you are doing is boosting the sales by showing so much interest.

Mrs. Clinton is an admirable person regardless of the reader's gender or politics. Is that why so many of those with opposite view points are so infatuated with her? As to this book, it is well written, and I was surprised at how quickly I was able to complete it. I am not a speed reader. I would have probably have given it four stars, but for the nasty smear campaign of her silly detractors. I would have liked more insight into her own development, and positions, but that will likely come in some future book. I recommend "First in His Class" by David Maraniss for a third party's perspective on Mrs. C. blemishes and all.

Review: im outraged that juanita broderick wusn't even menshunned in this book! and-and-and, and Hillary is a lair! jus like all the libural/DEMONcRAT/socialist/commie

(Actually, I haven't even read this book, i don't read much cuz that's only fun to mentals, but i am pretending that i did, so i can express my obsessive, irrational hatred of the Clintons just like all the other slobbering primates at freep republic... monkey see, monkey spew!)

Summary: Bought it just to annoy conservatives! LOL
Review: You know a book is great when you have conservatives, who appear to have never read the book, babble about how horrible the Clintons are simply out of sheer difference of ideology. The Clintons are a conservative's worst nightmare, and this book simply propels that perceived threat. Oh, it just pleasures me to see them annoyed!

The book shades light to a woman who is ambitious, strong, and intelligent -- the very same traits conservatives fear would propel a woman to the White House. Hillary 2004! I honestly could care less about Hillary, but after reading reviews chastising Hillary simply out of fanatical revulsion - something I never understood - I decided to purchase the book just to annoy them. You won't be disappointed. Sure, it's a great read, it did leave some things unanswered (Living History II?), but I took greater pleasure seeing prudes fuming with anger at the success of a truly fascinating woman's book!

Summary: Not bad
Review: I just finished "Living History" and I found it to be overall entertaining, well written, and informative. No it wasn't the best piece of political writing I ever read but it does a good job of presenting Hillary Clinton's side of the story. It's always good to get all sides of a story. It's worth your time if modern politics interest you.

Summary: A book of lies
Review: I was very disappointed to findout that they way Hillary remembered everything was totally opposite as to how stories were reported by the media. She wants America to feel sorry for her about her husbands affairs, when the truth is she knew about them all and she was only worried about staying in power.

Anyone that looks up to Hillary as a role mode, is headed for trouble. Don't waste your time reading this book, instead buy a good cigar and findout how Monica really felt about Bill Clinton

Summary: too much "history", not enough "living"
Review: Bookwise, "living history" is written in a rather boring, unskillful, and most of all, unpersonal style. Clinton is no born writer, which, on the other hand is a strong proof that she has actually written it herself (rare enough with all those celebrities hiring ghostwriters).
Most people are not good at describing their own emotions and their inner state of mind, Clinton is no exception. But she wrote about it.
We know the facts and figures of clinton's life, because there have been few people more publicly focused than the Clintons. What I wanted to read was the background, how she felt, not only towards the Lewinsky affair, but also with all the other celebrities she seems to meet on a daily base, Tony Blair, the Dalai Lama, Stevie Wonder, Arafat. One would imagine that the encounter of two great personalities has to trigger anecdotes, sad ones, funny ones, strange ones, hilarious ones. But almost nothing. Clinton just states those encounters "for the record", "we went there, then we met this guy, and then that guy came to the White house", like a small girl carefully describing what happened at school to her parents at dinner.

So there are still two lessons I learned:
1. Celebrities are not necessarily having more fun in their life than normal people.
2. Hillary Clinton is a very normal human being with all her weaknesses and strengths - and who has not lost her ideals. And that accounts for the 3 stars: To see that, even though is she not a good writer and entertainer, she is an honest, strong person who is prepared to go the difficult way for her ideals. And its good to know that such a person was at the center of world power - and will hopefully return there.

Summary: The book of lies
Review: Oh dear, does Hillary really expect us to believe that she is the poor hard done by wife of a philandering President? She says she was not aware of Bills nocturnal habits with Monica, when the whole world knew? Give me a break! This is just a little more of the Clinton BS that we have all become used to by now. It should be in the "FICTION" section. I give it one star because I can't give it none.
