Summary: How in the world can we take her seriously?
Review: Here is the one word that comes to mind: Selfish
It is all about her. If she would look outside herself she could really achieve something.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Disappointed after so much build-up
Review: Read the many fair assessments of people (pro & con Hillary) on this web site & you'll get the idea. Reading this is like paying full price for an eagerly anticipated movie, just to discover that you saw all the good parts during the TV commercials. It isn't even written by her. [Able as she is, she couldn't even write part of her own story? Too busy, maybe?] This was an opportunity missed. Save your money, & borrow a copy from someone who rushed out to see what all the fuss was about (like me) when they're done with it.

Summary: Most "reviews" are fictional
Review: How many who have written reviews have actually read the book? Sadly, not very many. There has been numerous calls for a conservative fatwa on several right-wing websites encouraging the faithful to write negative reviews on Amazon.com, and anywhere else accessible, about the book. Don't bother reading it, just write a negative review. Let's call a spade a spade: 99% of the negative reviewers WOULDN'T spend a dime to buy this book. Their friends wouldn't buy this book. Heck, most of them are probably functionally illiterate, so where in the heck are they getting copies to read and review?

Summary: Lies Hyped to the Max
Review: I found the book and all the hype it has had to be supremely depressing because it indicates how many people, especially women, are unduly influenced by the "victimhood" stance of the former 1st lady.

I also object to her bending and avoiding the truth of the eight years of scandals of the Clinton administration. Her continual blaming of the Republicans for all of the shenanigans in the White House I thought was extraordinarily inane, given the known facts of each case.

She also failed to mention or fully explain her direct involvement in many WH scandals such as the firing of the travel staff, the hiring of the goons, the infamous FBI files, Whitewater, the Foster case and the missing files from his office, Bimbo eruption controls, the mysterious re-appearance of the Rose law firm billing records etc. etc. (the scandals went on and on but she skims over or ignores them).

A book based upon lies and spin is a defective and self-promoting book to be avoided at all costs.

Summary: I Only Wish They Had Read It
Review: Far more interesting than Senator Clinton's book are the reviews being put forth on Amazon.com. Unfortunately many of those posting "reviews" failed the most critical test of honesty. THEY DIDN'T EVEN READ THE BOOK! While the book leaves much to be desired in both style and content it isn't as bad as the conservative Republican reviewers would have you believe. And while Mrs. Clinton might like for this to be a springboard to a future presidential run it doesn't resolve all the problems and mysteries of the past as many of the liberal Democratic reviewers would like think. If you choose to read this book do so with an open mind. Remember that there actually are two sides to every story and that it is only human nature to try and cast oneself in the best possible light. While I personally don't harbor any particular like or dislike for Hillary Clinton I don't find it difficult to believe that this is "Living History" as she saw it. It's an interesting and easy read and might actually shed some light on some events that had previously escaped you. I rate this book 3 stars based on content not personality and, unlike many others here, I actually read the book!

Summary: How three ghost writers can't make this book worth reading!
Review: The book is OK in the beginning, going through Hillary's first years. However, the book is slow and and self praising throughout, which gets old quick. It's difficult to read a book that the author, and ghost writer's spend page after page, word after word, telling us how great Hillary is and how bad, everyone else in the world is, even her husband. She needs to get over it. Wait for it to sell on Amazon for 1.00. It won't be long.

Summary: Lies lies lies
Review: Remember as you read this that this wasn't written under oath. They made a big deal about how she got "thousands" of people at her NYC book signing. She got 1200. 1200 people in the most left wing city in the world. Howard Stern got almost fifteen thousand at the same book store. Stop lying Hildabeast!!

Summary: None of the trolls here trashing this book have read it!
Review: I'm happy to say that I, unlike the persons "freeping" over to trash it, have actually read this book. You can tell this because they don't even bother to address its contents.

Guess what? It's very, very good. Her calm, clear delineation of the facts of her life are an excellent antidote to the spewage spilled by Jeff Gerth, James B. Stewart, and Michael Isikoff, to name three of Ken Starr's favorite stenographers.

For instance: Did you know that Stewart's book Blood Sport revolves around the myth that Hillary Clinton was trying to hide something by not signing a certain Whitewater-related document? What Stewart doesn't tell you is that the document in question has two sides -- and that Hillary signed the second side.

The book is chock-full of stories such as this. Highly recommended, and essential to understanding both the Clintons and the GOP/Media attack machine.

Summary: Lying and Self-Serving History
Review: Basically the book is about a person who takes no responsibility for any of her actions. It's silly and self-serving and insulting to those of us who spent money on this book. I am sorry I purchased and read it. Just awful. The book is as honest as the cover photo.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: "His-story"
Review: The title of this book should've been "Outliving His-story."
But, reputatation--now more than ever--will always precede both Mr. Clinton and Mrs. Clinton. The mere passage of time, or trying to speed it up by charactarizing current life as "history" will not allow either of them to escape the truth.
