Rating: Summary: Great Story! Review: Although many may find this tale of one twin's journey of finding himself very depressing, I enjoyed the fact that Dominick had to oversome setback after setback and Lamb made him very real. He had Dominick possess traits which every person can relate to. The story of discovering his past plays a huge part in the tale, and just adds to the richness.

Rating: Summary: My Favourite Book Review: As a 15 year old girl, people always assume I enjoy reading teen magazines, and things of that ilk, and I do, but I also enjoy reading books with substance and meaning. This book has substance and meaning. When my mom brought it home from the book store for me, I was really excited. I had read She's Come Undone, and enjoyed the style in which Wally Lamb wrote. I was not afraid of how many pages the book had, and was really happy that it had a lot pages, because I read too fast for the books that were meant for people my age. Well, I also read this book too fast. I finished it in about 3 days. I didn't do any homework. I ate while reading this book. I coudln't put it down. The way Lamb describes the things his character's do and why they do them, drew me in and I could not put it down. And when I was finished, I didn't want to be! I wanted to read more into, find out what else could happen to these characters. I don't like things to end; it makes it feel like something's unfinished. But I digress. To sum it up, Wally Lamb wrote this book exactly the way I would like to write a book someday. Perfectly.
Rating: Summary: When will he write his next book? Review: When I first seen "I Know This Much Is True" I was reluctant to read it due to its size, but I enjoyed "She's Come Undone" so much I decided to give it a try. I loved it just as much as "She's Come Undone" if not more. There were plot twist and turns all the way until the end and the story totally captivated me. Wally Lamb has now earned himself a place on my favorite authors list.Characters such as Joy and Thad could have been left out (along with the biography of the Grandfather) but mostly all of the characters were realistic and well written. I am anxiously waiting for Mr. Lamb's next book and I will read it as soon as its available no matter how many pages are in it. I highly recommend reading the book all 900 pages.
Rating: Summary: I'm almost sad that I finished the book Review: This book is a big one -- and it took me a couple of weeks of nighttime reading to get through it...but now that I'm done, I actually miss the characters and our time together. I also read, "She's Come Undone" and absolutely loved it...when Wally Lamb comes out with another, you can be sure I will be reading it. These are characters that you really come to care about... what a deep and moving story... a friend of mine was recently hospitalized and that's the book on tape I recommended for her -- I knew it would make the time interesting. Don't let the size of the book deter you -- this is a must read book.
Rating: Summary: He's come undone..... Review: After being warned of this "cess-pool of psycho-drivel", I soon found myself immersed in I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE. I had already read SHE'S COME UNDONE, and I liked it a lot. "Psyco-drivel" turned out to be a smooth narration of identical twin-brothers. In this page-turner, the language becomes sometimes bumpy with the viewpoints of an everyday red-blooded American "meat and potato"-male, who encounters his soul-mate, meets the counter-ego we all seem to be afflicted with. He also encounters the she-devil and events with the blessed virgin. Often I had to laugh out loud. Because it is the balm of good health, I love spontaneous humor and this author has it. With my irreversible dislike for many acclaimed American authors, I have to confess reading every word Wally Lamb wrote in this fascinating story. Being female and the narrator of RED CAGE, it is hard for me to admit that male authors outshine female writers, who seem to lack the soaring phantasies of their male competitors, that takes them into any realm the mind can imagine. ...
Rating: Summary: Oh my gosh!! Review: What a great book! Oh my gosh, it's huge, but it's wonderful. I can't wait until Wally Lamb writes more...This is one of Oprah's best books.
Rating: Summary: My all-time favorite book! Review: I love this book. Please do not let the daunting number of pages keep you from reading this...believe me, by the end you will be begging for more. This book runs the gamut of emotions. You will laugh, cry, and ponder with this book. It is beautifully written and all of the characters are flawed, as all humans are. It is a story of hopelessness and redemption, and it is well worth any time spent reading it. Don't miss this book.
Rating: Summary: awsome awsome awsome Review: I've read it 3 times now...It is and I think always will be my favourite book. If Wally Lamb doesn't write a new one soon, I may begin to suffer serious withdrawl syndromes. I will not waste time explaining in detail the plot of the novel as so many others have done, I'll only say it is worth it to put "read I Know This Much is True" on your list of things to do before you die. ...
Rating: Summary: words can't describe so I won't describe...only say that.... Review: I have completely fallen in love with Dominick Birdsey. If you have not read it, read it...then read it again.
