Rating: Summary: It's simple. Review: Don't bother reading all these reviews. It's really very simple: If you are a conservative, you'll love the book. If you are a liberal it will make your blood boil. I happen to agree with 93% of what Hannity says, so I'll give it 5 stars.Hannity is ultra-conservative and far from humble. If that's going to upset you, don't read it.
Rating: Summary: Sean Hannity, hero of AmeriKa Review: Sean is a true red, blooded American, not some Communist-hippie caring about civil liberties. He knows when we need to throw down the Constitution and forget about personal freedoms to do the Lord's work: killing them Iraqis so we can free them from Saddam's tyrannical reign. I sit down and thank God every night we have somebody like Sean to tell me what to think and how to vote so we can keep those pinko liberals from taking over the Goverment and spending my tax money for education and drug treatment when they need to bebuilding more prisons and making more guns and stopping abortions. With Sean and GW, men of God, we cannot lose in the New World Order.
Rating: Summary: Thank goodness I've been dehannitized!!! Review: I was a big fan of Hannity's radio show and I read this book. I bought into his sales pitch that he is about right and wrong. Slowly I started to see his real objective is control and I started to see how oppressive he can be. He tells people that they need to think for themselves and he believes he helps them. It's a distortion. In reality he manipulates people to think just like he does. The majority of the time he is honest and charming but when his control side kicks in the brainwashing becomes all consuming. He uses tactics like wit, anger, intimidation, world-ending proclamations, anger, criticism, distorted facts, selective facts, everything and anything. He sees the world through a paranoid and distorted viewpoint and he believes he must convert everyone to his views. Take away the control and you'll find plenty of insecurity. A couple of my buddies are completely under his trance. If anyone points out any of Hannity's inaccuracies they will call that person a liberal and un-american. It's tactics they've learn from Hannity. It's all very manipulating. Like Hannity they can't think clearly anymore. I've heard them say they wish certain politicians dead and that they cheat on their taxes. They justify all this with things Hannity says about the politicians and about taxes. It's scary. Thank goodness I broke away from his spell.
Rating: Summary: Interesting but woefully lopsided Review: I'm beginning to think I might be a liberal, and Hannity's essays in this book have me almost comepletly convinced (thankfully)that the worst case senario would be a second Bush Administration. Yet it is still a good read, and Hannity is an excellent writer and sharp observer, and most of the time his observations seem reasonable, except when insisting "liberal bad" (anyone who disagrees with his hoplessly naive admiration of the Bush administration), and "conservative good" (all those who are blind to the blatant hypocrisy of the Bush cabal.) Unfortunately for Hannity, who I find much more intelligent and interesting to listen to than than Rush "I haven't gotten anything right yet, but if I bash democrats enough no one will notice" Limbaugh, or Glenn "I love war" Beck, recent events have only highlighted the uncountable deceits of the Confederacy of Dunces (The Bush cabal, led by Karl Rove, Cheney and the puppeteers pulling the strings.). If the right would stop labelling the "media" left and liberal (If you say it enough, enough people who don't think for themselves will start to believe), and admit the real truth, that most media is hopelessly Right winged, Republican and lackeys, Hannity's thesis might begin to sound reasonable.
Rating: Summary: Way To Go Sean Review: This book is right on the money. Hannity understands that liberals just don't get it. It's guys like Hannity who show us that in order to defeat evil in this world, we got to push aside those bleeding hearts. The only thing that I might tell Sean is that he needs a sense of humor because some of the wacky things liberals do is just plain funny (if you know what I mean). For example, Delano by John Orozco shows how absurd those wackos are. Way to go Sean.
Rating: Summary: "Hannity ain't no philosopher" Review: I love this book and I love this pan. I am simple folk who like to wrap up in the flag each and every night and pray that Amelica will always be the way it is on the Leave it to Beaver show. I love America and anyone who say the war is bad, just ain't for the troops and that is final. I love the troops and the Iraqi's, and I love to see the war. Hannity has shown me that I can love family and Christian church and still love war. All he says is, "They got the weapons and they want to take away our lord". That is it! It is just that black and white. We need to kill'em all over there cept the Iraqi's whose a good people. I can't wait to spend billions over there, while things collapse around here. I love them Iraqi's so much, I am happy to give up my social security and my childrens education. We had to take Sadaam out, cause we put him in there and he loves the chemical weapons. Hannity's book is great cause it is pretty much whatever the conservatives say he agrees and whatever the librals say he bashes. I love stuff you don't have to think about too much. Kinda like pro wrestling - Good and Evil/Black and White/Right and Wrong. Ain't no Gray in the U.S. of A. Kinda catchy ain't it. Keep on truckin' Sean and tell them librals the way it outta be in the real world. And tell Sadaam to leave the game of weapons of mass destruction, imperialism, globalization, and propaganda to the experts - WASHINGTON POLITICIANS - REPUBS AND DEMS!
Rating: Summary: Hannity, unamerican Review: The book highlights the hypocrisy of today's right wing talk show host: the author romanticizes war without having fought, pushes tax cuts that assist no one but himself and his elite friends, advocates cuts in education knowing his family will never need public education and launches unamerican personal attacks on political opponents in the name of "patriotism."
Rating: Summary: Sean hannity is hypocaracy to the Max Review: I like Sean Hannity am a Republican. But, unlike Sean Hannity I am not a bigot! Yes, Bigot. I read this book for laughs. I knew that it would be a book that would attack the left and priase the right. It is a book that does not let Sean Hannitys thoughts get in the way of the truth What some people may have called passion. I call nothing more than unadulterated hate. An example, You say? In the book there is an incessant attack of the Democratic Party for practicing tax and spend economics. Yet, when i met Sean Hannity and again when I spoke to mr Hannity on the phone. He refused to compare his "good Buddy" Orin Hatch and the Utah Tax and spend Republicans to that tax and spend ilk. Yet, the predominantly Republican state of Utah Republicans never met a tax they did not like. I tried to confront Mr Hannity on this issue, but he changed the subject. Mr Hannity in his book degrades and loathes President Bill Clinton for his alleged affairs while in the White House. Yet, Mr. Hannity priases his good Buddy and frequent radio/tv guest Newt Gingrich. Refusing to acknowledge the behavior of Congressman Newt Gingrich who has been married three times. Mr. gingrich not exactly being successful at marriage. In his book, Hannity is quick to point out the errors of Democrats and ther alleged lack of values. But has Mr Hannity compared the parenting of GW Bush and his unfortunate problems with his daughter to the wonderful upbringing and model citizen Chelsea Clinton? Where is the praise for Bill and Hillary? They seemed to have found more success raising Chelsea Clinton than Jeb and G-Dubya have done raising their daughters with "family values". I have been called a Liberal by his ilk. Why? I have broken the golden rule. I have and will stay a thinking Republican!
Rating: Summary: A true inspiration Review: Sean knows how to tell it and his insight into what is becoming of this country is all too true.........an author who speaks from the heart and his reading was an inspiration to me as a service member serving in Afghanistan when I read it.........
Rating: Summary: Very good book! Review: I must admit, that I don't listen to The Sean Hannity show every day, but the few times I've listened to it, it as been very inspiring. I decided to buy his book, after a lenghty discussion about the ongoing Iraq war. The book was more than what I'd hoped for. He writes very well, and his arguments are easy to understand. Recommending this book is easy, although if you are left-winger you may (hopefully) loose you illusions.
