Rating: Summary: Pure right-wing paranoid drivel Review: If you like your politics simplistic to the point of absurdity, this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Partisan mediocrity Review: I didn't expect much from a [man] like Hannity, and I wasn't disappointed. There's no actual need to read this book, as I can sum it up for you in four words: Republicans good, Democrats bad. (In my view, 50% correct). Hannity simply puts forth the neoconservative party line on every issue. Everything he says is predictable. Don't waste your time on this book. If you want a real conservative viewpoint, try reading something from Pat Buchanan or Joe Sobran.
Rating: Summary: sadly close minded and a little misguided Review: I am sorry, but we are now in the times of freedom, as you so profusely oversuse this word, and that means admitting a little more equality. Stop equating our country's problems with "those people", we are not the innocent victims you make the US out to be--just do some more research and stop writing from a state of ego and involve a little more mind and heart. The members of other countries are not our enemies, just as are not the liberals of the world. I may not be liberal either, but to slam a liberal so harshly is truly to reject some of the beautiful, strong-minded people that started this country.
Rating: Summary: too liberal Review: I am a die-hard Conservative Republican.Sean Hannity acts just like a liberal! In fact, he resorts to liberal tactics like "fight for liberty". We all know this is a liberal game! I wish he's stick to the main points he outlines in the first chapter, instead of rambling about "attacks" on our country by liberals. Let's stop accusing fellow Americans and focus on the real enemy: Al Quaeda!!!! Dems are with us; they overwhelmingly supported our good "president". So, as a fellow-Republican I urge you to NOT read this book.
Rating: Summary: nothing but the truth, with facts to back up every point Review: Never mind the spin doctors in the media who hit you with 20 second sound bites, this in depth commentary clearly illustrates what is wrong with this country and who got us to where we are. It highlights true heroes and also reminds us of the dark ages in morality aka The Clinton Years. Read this book and you will know who "Clinton Cool Aid drinkers" really are!
Rating: Summary: Conservative Drivel Review: I initially became familiar with Sean Hannity through his talk show on a certain American news network which I'm not going to name (hey, if they want free advertising, then they can pay me). His arrogant, brutish nature on that show alienated him to me, but I figured, "Hey, maybe if he has an opportunity to think about what he says, then he'll come off looking less foolish".Well, he got it half-right. While some of the excessively smug tone from his TV show is definitely gone (and good riddance!), there is no real substance to this volume. For page after page, Hannity rambles on about how liberalism is responsible for everything from the destruction of the American character, to world poverty, to child labour, to the death of his dog (ok, I made that last one up). Thats all you can find here, Sean Hannity explaining why he hates Liberals. I dunno, if you're a conservative, you may enjoy this book. Otherwise, if you're like me and more politically moderate, then you can only really expect slander and lies about the political left. Even on the rare occasion where he actually talks about ISSUES, his arrogant tone certainly alienates the reader and destroys any sympathy for his point of view. As I say in the title, conservative drivel. There are many, many more books available by many, many better conservative writers out there, check them out instead.
Rating: Summary: One of the reasons America is still America Review: WOW. Hannity is right on in his non-apologetic stances on hard issues. This book was extremely readable and is a quick reference when you just can't stand network news any longer. After a long hard day of fighting for truth and right it is a salve to the soul. Hannity, you're number one!
Rating: Summary: Truly let Freedom Ring and Ring and Ring!! Review: Sean Hinnity, aka: conservative radio and TV host, explains how the world has changed after the attack on our country, and what's at stake in our war against radical elements of Islam. He also speaks to why he believes our Constitution is worth saving and preserving. Unlike Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity has differing points of view, such as his belief in God and his stance against abortion and homosexuality. Where Bill O'Reilly thinks that these things are mere ideology, Hannity argues that we are in a war, a must-win war of ideas, and if we hope to maintain our liberties, we need to focus and continue to re-focus and fight on these freedom planes, if the constitutional freedoms we have are to remain in place. A good alternative to Fox's O'Reilly. And in fairness to Bill, there are many good things about his outlook, but Sean Hannity defines them in different terms, and in ways which are profoundly impacting society on another level. Highly recommended!!
Rating: Summary: The Title Says It All Review: The flawed logic of Sean Hannity--another member of the Fox Channel's stable of demented commentators whose unspoken credo is "Why can't everyone be as good as me?"--appears in the very title of this anti-intellectual disgrace to publishing. "Freedom" means "Liberty," which is what liberals fight for. Conservatism, on the other hand, fights for the restriction of liberty. No doubt we'll see more hate literature from this sorry fellow, along with fellow haters like O'Reilly and Coltane. How sad.
Rating: Summary: Comprehensive and inteligent analysis of the issues. Review: My political stance is more libertarian, however I found Sean's book to be a compelling analysis of the issues facing America, both present and past. Sean does not come off as a 'Republican Apologist', and we all know there is no shortage of stupidity and corruption from either side of the political spectrum. "Let Freedom Ring" was encouraging to me, and did challenge me in a few places. I encourage anyone biased against Sean Hannity by way of "Hannity and Colmes" or his talk show to check it out.
