Summary: Close this book
Review: His smug look hides his ignorance. Go see "Bowling for Columbine" by Michael Moore if you would like to know more about Sean Hannity's agenda. He is part of the culture of fear that has swept america. Conservatives are fasionable and hopefully they will go the way of the bell bottom. It is his opinion though ... and he is entitled to it. If you are a conservative and want to confirm what you already believe then read this book. If you would like to read an unbiased, intellectual approach to the conflicts in the United States than turn to an academic ... read a book by Noam Chomsky. You are guaranteed to discover information that is based on fact and not opinion when you read something from Chomsky.

Summary: Nothing new, badly written. Other conserv. books are better
Review: I am a hard-core consevative, and this is conservative cheerleading. But there's no new information or arguments, and nothing terribly thoughtful. Ultimately this book is bought for the name on its cover, not for its content. It might make a good present or good beach-reading. If you want quality, keep looking.

Hannity likes short, sing-songy sentences, with lots of punchy, cutesy adjectives. It's an easy read, but how could he use so many words and still not say much of anything?

If you want new research and new insights, there are a lot of better (more thoughtful) conservative books on the market right now.

Summary: Stupidity Rings!
Review: And we all thought Rush Limbaugh was stupid! The factual errors in this book make it amazing that anyone would buy this book. I guess if you believe this stuff facts are unimportant

Summary: Liberals need to quite reviewing a book they haven't read
Review: I you haven't read this book please don't review it. People aim to use these reviews as a way to learn about the content of a book they might be thinking about buying. This isn't supposed to be a forum you liberals to bash this book because it doesn't fit in with your leftist view of America. I have read this book and find Hannity's arguments to be more compelling than many other conservative authors out there, although I agree with the previous post about the ANWR issue. The significance of the oil we might have gained there wasn't that high, then again, liberals also way over emphasized the "destruction" the proposed drilling plan would have had on the local animal populations. As I said, compelling book, even if I didn't agree with every single issue.

Review: This book is filled with lies. Enough said.

Summary: Judge The Success Of This Book By The Reaction From The Left
Review: Hannity has spoken, and the political left--those who claim to be the champions of "diversity" and "choice"--are clamoring to shut him up. LET FREEDOM RING primarily recycles the same pertinent arguments conservatives have put forth since the Reagan years, but Hannity's style is fresh and vigorous. Watch but one episode of "Hannity & Colmes" on Fox News Channel and you'll be overwhelmed with the amount of passion Hannity brings to the table.

Make no mistake: our culture is waging an idealistic war over the confrontation of ideas. The left has succeeded in hijacking our societal mainstream, from media and entertainment to our colleges and universities. Political correctness has achieved status quo, complete with speech codes, environmental hysteria, gender-neutral armed forces, and the taking of an unborn child for the sake of expediency. These are titanic issues our society must face--whether to return to a free society based on rugged individualism or to continue our relentless march into a welfare state with its monolithic Big Brother. Hannity brings a new conservative voice to the debate, a voice that is most welcome.

Summary: I love it when I read this...
Review: If you plan on buying this book, I suggest you are a conservative.

Take a look at the reviews..... see how disparse they are? Some give it 5, some give it 1. Very little 2s, 3s, and 4s. Gee, I can pretty easily pick out which ones are liberals and which ones are conservatives with that in mind... Gives me a good laugh thinking about it all.

With so much controversy, it must be good, wouldn't you think?

The book was well organized and fairly decent. I didn't find a problem with it, but I can sure say that others did. If you are looking for something to rile you up, this is the book for you.

Summary: Very Useful
Review: While Hannity does write from the right side of the spectrum, books like these are essential to offset the twist that the
liberal media puts on what it calls "news". You don't have to agree with all he says, or even all of everything he says to get a different view that lets you develop your own balance perspective

Summary: He's Right, and Liberals are Wrong
Review: The liberals have come out to slam this book and say Hannity is mean and so on. Did they even read this book? Or are they just on a mission? They can't handle that his first publication hit the tops of every chart.

Hannity isn't mean. He is a sweet, nice guy. He's a family guy conservative, maybe a little too conservative on some issues for some, but mainstream for most of America. He brings in tons of facts and research. This isn't drivel, it's well researched and well thought out.

Hannity is right about the threats that face this country, and he's taking a responsible position. He values life, liberty, yes, FREEDOM, the greatest force unleashed on this planet. And freedom doesn't mean letting hate mongers plot and scheme to slit your throat, kill your family and convert your children. Freedom doesn't mean that all is well when some are free and others are forcing women to wear burkas under penalty of being stoned to death. And it doesn't mean blowing yourself up because you can't win an argument.

Freedom wins the arguments every time. It's not a simple idea, it's a well thought out thesis that states that more freedom will actually make for the MOST efficient conduct of human affairs. And that's exactly what Hannity is fighting for, hence, the title of the book. Let Freedom Ring. Freedom trounced the commies in the arena of ideas. Liberals still don't get it. But they don't want another whupping, so they hide behind new names like "Progressive". Come on, where is the debate? Come on you liberals, what are you afraid of?

STEP IN THE RING!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Required reading (not just for conservatives)
Review: Anyone wondering how and why Sean Hannity has climbed so rapidly to the top of talk radio needs only read Let Freedom Ring to find out. Hannity presents, in a measured and methodical (yet stirring) way, a fairly comprehensive summary of issues that count in today's America, the political history of those issues, and the damage to freedom's cause resulting from slavish adherence to the "PC" viewpoint on same. Not stopping there, he presents and promotes well-reasoned solutions to each threat to our essential liberties.

Move over Rush--behold the new thought leader of patriotism in America!
