Review: I thought that this book is one of Tamora Pierce's best books that she has writen so far. I had some romance, magic, strength, and it made women feel alot more powerful! It has usually seemed that women where pictured as helpless, toys for men back in the times that this is placed. It is amazing how one girl,Alanna, can make more freedom for the other girls who live in Alanna's time!

Review: A wonderful tale with much adventure and romance. Wonderfully put into words and actions. A thrilling ride with magnificent characters and characteristics. It's wonderful how she builds up the plot and how she holds the reader in mid-air waiting for them to grasp the next word. An awsome tale of a very couragous, brave, and determined lady knight. A spectacular novel.

Review: This was probaly my favorite book of all time. It was sooooooooooo good!! I'd recomend it to anybody. I told my friends to read it. They picked it up at a local library, and couldn't put it down(like me). I really like books with woman heros, if you do too, this is definatly the book for you. But, I think you should read the first book first. This was definantly my favorite out of the series. READ IT!!!!! (Excuse my spelling)

Review: Alanna is a great heroine. She's smart and nice and interesting, above all else. She is a little paraniod, but considering what she's hiding, she's got a right. The contents of the Chamber of the Ordeal are a great addition, and the token of the Goddess is one of the best talismans I've ever read about. Tamora Pierce is a must-read, Tortall or Emelan. READ ALL HER BOOKS, NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. GET TO YOUR BOOKSTORE OR LIBRARY AND MAKE THEM ORDER IT FOR YOU. YOU WON'T REGRET IT, I SWEAR

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS IN THE SERIES
Review: I love this book. I read Alanna in 7th and I immeadiatly fell in love with the series. I have read all her books and like this one the best. It has everything in it:magic,romance,adventure, destinies, goddesses, action, sword fights,adventures and more. It tells of Alanna and overcoming her fears. You find out about Rodger. It is action filled and there is something suprising in every chapter.The ending is pretty surprising and what happens doesn't end there.I hope more books come out with Tortall and Alanna in them!I really love this book.

Summary: Just SKIP THIS ONE
Review: I really thought this book was going to go somewhere and as I got closer to the end, I was waiting for a great climax to the story. I was definitely disappointed in the end. Everything just kind of peters out and falls flat. I won't sum up the story .. that has been done before. However, I will say that I thought the book had some promise but after closing the cover I realized it was just an exercise in futility for me. All in all ... kinda blah.

Summary: This is a great book, READ IT!
Review: I love this book I bring it with me everywhere! I am not kidding! It's like a bible to me. I thought Jon was right for Alanna until he started liking Lady Delia, how can he be so rude? So now I think George is right for Alanna, and since I've read the other books I know what happens with George, Alanna, Jon etc. If you want to find out what happens, I suggest you read ALL of Tamora's books!

Review: I loved when Alana went into the ordeal of knighthood and had to face all of her fears. I'd say this book overall was the best book I have ever read. This book was action packed. I couldn't stop reading it. I recommend this book to anybody who likes to read about battles and adventure.

Review: AFTER I READ THE FIRST BOOK I THOUGHT THAT WAS IT AND WAS VERY DISAPONTED BUT AS SOON AS I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS MORE, I SNACHED THEM UP. THIS IS MY FAVORITE OF TAMORA'S WORKS. I HAVE TO SAY THAT AFTER JON GETS KIGHTED I NO LONGER LIKED HIM FOR ALL I CARED HE COULD HAVE DROPPED OF THE FACE OF TORTALL AND NEVER RETURNED. I WAS HAPPY WHEN ALANNA TOOK INTREST IN GEORGE ( MY SECOND FAVORITE CHARETER) AND WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE END OF THE QUARTET. ( WON'T SPOIL WHAT HAPPENS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT READ THE ENDING.

Review: We need more stars! These books are absolutley fantastic. All my friends at school are hooked on them, I definetly recomend them to anyone. Even though the books are written are written for a younger audience, I recomen them to people of all ages. Alanna is a hero for the female species, and helps a young audience understand the strength of a woman.
