Rating: Summary: VERY WELL WRITTEN Review: I think this book has a lot of different emotions, it made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me mad, and I didn't want it to end. I am reading The Ghost right now, it is also very good. I think that Danielle Steel is a wonderful writer.
Rating: Summary: Suprisingly good. Review: I'm usually not a fan of DS older books that are more historical, however, I liked this one a lot. Your typical older man-young woman story, this one will keep you interested.
Rating: Summary: This book colorfully depicts a life-lasting love during WWII Review: Jewels is a wonderful novel placed eloquently during the savage World War II. With a match made only in heaven as the center plot, the rebellious children, and triumphs and tribulations of Sarah's life, they all add up to make a perfectly spectacular novel and great reading.
Rating: Summary: Bittersweet Review: This book took me away to another country, and era, that I never bothered with before. Sarah goes through some VERY difficult, depressing times, (even worse than some of MY life)!, I put it down several times, too sad. If you can get past the first 270 pages, the book finally gets happy. I was VERY pleased to see that the female lead in this book, SARAH, is a strong courageous woman, with INCREDIBLE faith. I like the fact that it takes you through most of her entire life, when her children grew up, I was amused at their uniqueness, yet "true to life" sameness, of their generation. You get to know everyone so well, it's as if you are a part of their lives, and you don't want the book to end. I enjoyed the last 1/3 of it VERY much, it was worth waiting for.
Rating: Summary: The best Danielle Steel I have ever read Review: This book was the first, and the best book I have ever read by Danielle Steel. You have to have it. I was so sad when it ended, and I just wanted more pages. READ IT:)
Rating: Summary: Good book, bad ending Review: This book was very entertaining and well-written at the beginning, but the last 25% seemed rushed and forced. I lost interest after a time, which is truly unfortunate because the first portion of the book was riveting. It's just too bad that a new edition that omits the last portion can't be published. It would definitely be an improvement.
Rating: Summary: The Best One Yet! Review: This is my favorite book by far by Danielle Steel. She is wonderful! This book was long, but that's what I loved about it. I never wanted it to end. I cried at parts and I laughed at parts. I loved every bit of it. The one thing about her books is that as soon as you finish one of her books, you want to run out and get another by her right away! I always have a Danielle Steel book right next to me it seems! The bottom line is, if you read ANY Danielle Steel book, then read Jewels. It's absolutely wonderful.
Rating: Summary: One of Steel's best books Review: This is one of Danielle Steel's best books. I have read this one many times and Sarah Whitfield's story is one of great courage and love. She (Sarah) takes us through a wonderful life of ups and downs, shows us her love of family and standing by them through good and bad. The love between Sarah and William is priceless. This one is a must read for all.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorties Review: This is one of my favorties by DS I loved the romance between the two main characters it is what kept me engrossed with the novel. I think everyone should read this.
