Rating: Summary: steaming smuggness Review: This guy writes on an 8th-grade level, with the insights of a sixth grader. A poor effort
Rating: Summary: I wish I'd read it two years ago Review: This was an extremely insightful book that was invaluable to me. The advice will do a lot of young people good for a long time to come, no matter how the business climate changes. There is some really practical stuff in there. I was so impressed, that I lent the bok to my sister who just graduated in May
Rating: Summary: I liked it! Review: Well, I LIKED IT :). I think mostly because it was geared
specifically towards me - a twentysomething. A majority of
it was about things I already knew from my own experience;
however, I think that it's a good, comprehensive guide for
someone just starting out in the career game. I've recommended it to several friends, and also to a President
of a large local company. His feedback to me was that he
was grateful someone was providing him with some ideas,
understanding and guidelines for getting the best out of his
twentysomething employees. He's gone on to recommend the
book to others as well.
Two thumbs up!
Rating: Summary: What they SHOULD teach you in school...but don't Review: While most career centers show you how to write a resume and tell you basically not to pick your nose in an interview, this gave me the straight scoop on how to get in doors and what to do once I got the job. I still use it as a handbook. Awesome for your first job.
