Summary: Find Me
Review: Not exactly what I expected but it was still a decent book.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Trees died for this book
Review: Nothing personal against Rosie O'Donnell, but this is one of the worst books I've ever read! At least the money from the sales went to charity. That's a plus!

Summary: Good book
Review: This book wasn't what I expected but it was still good. It was interesting to see how different people can be and gives us all insight as to how people behave when they have multiple personalities.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very interesting! I hope there is a sequel !!
Review: This book was extremely interesting. I appreciate the candidness! I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about a REAL person! I found this book to be somewhat depressing/disturbing. The reason why I feel that way is because it wasn't something I call a "happy go lucky" story. Other than that I had a hard time putting the book down. I was quite interested to read about Rosie/Ro/Roseann O'Donnell. It was almost like a book within a book. Rosie wrote about someone she had met that had multiple personalities. That was interesting also. I look forward to a sequel...if there is one that is.

Summary: Rosie, How Bizarre!
Review: I read this book with the thought that it was a memoir. In part, it is a memoir with occassional insights into Rosie's childhood, but little else that would qualify as a memoir. It is definitely a quick read. People who say they couldn't put it down, probably didn't need to put it down, because it is nothing more than a long essay.
The intense relationship Rosie takes up with a person she doesn't know is troubling. And the fact that she intensifies the relationship when she learns the individual is severely troubled, is more disturbing. I do not applaud her efforts. I find it disappointing that Rosie wishes to identify herself as someone that can really relate to a mentally disturbed person. Rosie's message seems to be that she is herself a disturbed and troubled person. This is in such contrast to the strong personality she has displayed in public over the last five years, serving as a role model to the middle class American woman. It makes me wonder who Rosie wants to be? If she wishes to spend the next few years becoming America's role model for self pity, then I hope she doesn't expect people to spend their money on the marketing of her name.

Summary: Rosie's story about her fame and fans
Review: This is not a Rosie O'Donnell autobiograghy. Instead, the star is writing about certain instances in her career that deal with her fame and her fans. There is background information given about her life, but only as it relates to a fan with mutliple personality disorder. An interesting insite into what stars must go through in dealing with some of their fans.

Summary: Not my all time favorite book
Review: I loved watching Rosie O'Donnell and have quite a bit of respect for her. I bought this book hoping for some insight into her amazing life, but this book was very hard to get through. It seemed more about compulsive behavior than the story of her helping a young lady. I tried hard to like this book, but lost my interest somewhere in the middle.

Summary: Not what I expected
Review: This book was not quite what I expected. I thought I would hear of Rosie's rise to stardom, how she came to adopt children and even how she came to believe she is homosexual. I thought it would be about her finding her! Instead it takes you on her tale to be an unqualified pshycologist. A little sad and very dangerous for all involved.
She does write a good story in an entertaining style but it was more an episode in her life. I am not sure I left the story with a clear ending. More I left feeling both individuals were very troubled. Sorry I like Rosie, she seems wonderful but I felt misled by the title

Summary: Suprisingly Great Book
Review: Don't get me wrong, I love Rosie. I get her magazine, I sometimes watch her show. I requested this book from the library and it took a little while before I got it. When I did get it, I was not in the mood to read "Rosie O was born on..." blahblahblah. So I left the book on my dining room table for 3 days. Then I picked it up while the kids were sleeping, and I NEVER PUT IT DOWN until I was done. Not only was this not your typical autobiography, it kept me on the edge of my seat wondering about "Stacie". I learned a lot about Rosie but not too much that she came across annoying. It proves that money does not always buy happiness (or sanity)! Great read. I recommend it to everyone!

Summary: Where have I heard this before?
Review: Is it just me, or did Armistead Maupin write this book a few years back and call it The Night Listener? Never mind, I enjoyed the ride. I was also pleasantly surprised that the gal who can tell a good tale, can also write one.
