Rating: Summary: A must-have for your kid's library! Review: Dr. Seuss books were my favorites growing up and now they are favorites of my two children. Of all the Seuss books, Green Eggs and Ham is one of the best. My three year old son has memorized much of the book and thinks that it is just hilarious. My five year old is learning to read and this is a great beginning reader book. To top it all off, this is one book that I don't mind reading for the 100th time!
Rating: Summary: The Green Eggs And Ham Review: I like this book because it has funny things in it like green eggs and ham. And it has funny things in it like words. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not want to eat green eggs and ham with a goat or a fox. Or a cat in a hat I do not like green eggs and ham Sam I am.
Rating: Summary: Green Eggs And Ham Review: If you have not read this book I strongly suggest you do. It was writen by one of my favorite authors Dr.Seuss. It is about a guy who does not like green eggs and ham but his friend Sam-I-Am keeps trying to get him to try them. It is a great book because it's one of those books that you have to read. It's one of my personal favorites, and it never gets old. No matter how many times you read it. If you have not read it please do,you won't be sorry.
Rating: Summary: An all time classic children's book Review: Who hasn't read this book? This book proves for itself that this is a classic book. When I was a child, this was one of my favorite books to read. This book had fun rhymes that were silly and which made me laugh til' this day. The text is easy to read and a good book for teaching beginners how to read. This book also teaches a lesson to children about being open-minded in life and to try new things out. A great book, which I urge everyone to read.
Rating: Summary: Subversive? Review: GREEN EGGS AND HAM is a wonderful read-aloud book. The language is simple and marvelous and simply marvelous. It sings and lilts. Someone should set it to music. This was one of the first books my four-year-old daughter could read by herself. I loved listening to her read it, which she did with great expression and emphasis. Twice I saw and heard Jesse Jackson read this book on Saturday Night Live. He did it splendidly. I wish I had recorded it. How did anyone ever entice Jackson onto the show just to read GREEN EGGS AND HAM? The book also has a lesson to teach: Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. In the main, this is a good lesson to learn, but some things shouldn't be tried: smoking, drinking, other drugs, and worse.
Rating: Summary: Fun and serious reading together. Review: You cannot have more fun teaching your kids to read than by using this book. Because of the repetitive nature of the words it gives them great practice in "total word" recognition, so that when they learn to put the word together, then they quickly learn to recognise it at speed. As for the story - doesn't everyone know it by now? It teaches kids to try food before saying they don't like it!
Rating: Summary: We grew up on these books Review: Would you believe I use these books to help teach English to adults? There are a lot of useful english grammar tidbits in Seuss books, the illustrations give good clues for understanding and even beginning adults can understand the book and read in English right away.
Rating: Summary: My favorite Seuss book! Review: This is a terrific book for kids. They love the story. It's easy to memorize, and funny, like all Seuss books. What I like best about this one is that it has a great message that is really easy for children to understand. I have used it to convince children to try something new that they were convinced they would hate, be it a food or an activity. The pictures are terrific, too! Anyone under the age of 6 will love this book, although it's terrific for the 3-5 year range.
Rating: Summary: A MUST READ BOOK Review: Green Eggs and Ham is a great story. The book is very funny. At parts of the book you wonder what's going to happen. This book is a comedy book and an adventureous book. Green Eggs and Ham has been my favorite book since I was small. If you like comical, adventureous, and curious books, you should read this book if you haven't already.
Rating: Summary: A classic Review: I grew up with Dr Suess books so I couldn't wait to share them with my own children. The books are illustrated simply, the text is easy to read and creatively laid out and the silly rhymes make me and my children laugh. What I've noticed from reading them Dr Suess books (they are 1 and 2.5 years) that it has really helped my 2.5 year old with increasing her vocabularly, saying words properly and recognising sounds that a letter or group of letters make. A wonderful series of books to read aloud to your children.
