Summary: Let's play two
Review: This is a looonnnnnngggggg book. Most of Larry Bond's books are, yet once I started I just couldn't stop reading. It was so good I had to read his next one Day of Wrath right away. Somehow I read both in the same week. I give this book my highest compliment by saying it ranks right along side of Tom Clancy's books.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A solid addition
Review: This is a more than decent book. I really enjoy his writing style. This was a fine addition to his library. However, I also did not like the insubordination of Thorn in the end, but this is a minor blemish in the face a classic book. Overall it is a solid 8. The story line was also good and I hope to see more of them.

Summary: Frightening and Realistic
Review: This is a very well written book by Larry Bond. The idea of an Iranian General turning loose terrorist cells within the United States is a very original idea. The General, by using his Bosnian terrorist trained at a secret camp in Iran causes havoc in the United States. Of course the ultimate goal of the General is the oilfields of Saudi Arabia. After Colonel Thorn kills the Bosnian terrorist in America he gains revenge by killing the evil Iranian General. This is an exciting book. Being

that Bond is generally a military writer I think that he has shown knowledge of terrorism with his two books "The Enemt Within" and "Day of Wrath".

Summary: not so great of a story but still carrys a heck of an ending
Review: this is the 4th book he has writen and not certainly not the best! But it does grow on you long after you have read it!

Summary: Read Red Phoenix instead
Review: This was a very diappointing novel. It seemed like Larry Bond rushed to finish the ending. It wasn't as developed or well written as parts earlier in the book. Also, he could of developed the relationship between the two protagonists more thoroughly, which contributed to the novel's weak story. If you want to read a Larry Bond novel, read RED PHOENIX, which is truly an excellent military novel.

Summary: Prophetic
Review: Tom Clancy is one of my favorite authors. How did I not know about Larry Bond?!! This is the first I have read by him and I literally just finished it a few minutes ago. What a great read!! Chilling, though, and as I said, prophetic. Either that or the warning signs for 9-11 were all too apparent before the attacks. Some of the terrorist attacks described in the book were downright scary (to me). How truly easy it would be to perform some of those acts and then blend into the woodwork! How close we are to an all-out race-related civil war. We exist is some degree of believed safety and yet, how little it would/could take to turn out world around completely. I look forward to his other books (which I hope to get-some-for Christmas. :) )

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not as good as his previous books.
Review: While I enjoyed the book, I did not feel that it reached the same level as Cauldron or Vortex.
