Summary: Sandra Brown never puts me down.
Review: I could not put this book down. Her characters come to life page by page. I love revenge stories and Sexy romance novels, so this combination together in "Fat Tuesday" was remarkable!

Summary: Disappointing!
Review: I just finished this book and I am, quite frankly, very disappointed. On the surface, the book seems to have it all: romance, mystery, and intrigue. However, nothing about the book seemed plausible. I found the main female character boring! She was weak, silly, and naive. There was nothing to admire about her, so I didn't care about her. The main male character, Basile (is that pronounced like the herb??) is a little more "real". The story was told mainly from his point of view, but I had a hard time understanding what motivated him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not totally trashing the book. The book has its' moments! I truly enjoyed the escapades of "Father Gregory". This guy stole the show! He was funny...and always getting himself into hilarious situations. Bottom line--do I recommend this book? I would say yes, go for it. But if you're a Sandra Brown fan (as I am), set your expectations a little lower, and maybe you won't be as disappointed as I was.

Summary: Brown needs more experience in new genre
Review: Sandra Brown steps out of her safe niche of romance to take a chance on the hard-boiled detective novel. She maintained her usual tight style but stumbled amidst nearly every stereotype available from the hooker with a heart of gold to the evil defense lawyer to the grizzled retired cop who takes the law into his own hands. Despite that it remains a good read until the end. Suddenly major events are taking place outside the reader's world and tied up with quick expository phrases. A system that moved sluggishly all through the book suddenly moves with life-saving alacrity. The biggest problem of all, however, is one major clue is known only to the hero of the book. Suddenly, this major plot-changing piece of information is thrown out to tie down another piece of the puzzle. This is an amazingly amateurish device for an experienced author. I can only hope it is because she is new to the genre ... but where was her editor? The readers of a mystery need the same clues as the detective or they are being held outside the story instead of becoming part of it

Summary: Sandra Brown at her best.
Review: From the first page of the new thriller, Fat Tuesday, to the satisfying conclusion, Sandra Brown keeps us on the edge of our seat with a riveting plot, compelling action and intriguing characters. Although it is clear who the two main "good guys" are and who the two main "bad guys" are, there is pure suspense about everyone in between. The reader is swept up in Basille's quest to "set things right," and we are consumed with wondering if he can do it without becoming just like the villains he is up against. Great book

Summary: Better than most of her books..
Review: Compared to most, if not many of her books this one has some substance..The charaters are well written and very likable...Not just another piece of fluff...I had a hard time putting this one down to get anything done..Very good...I recommend this to any Sandra Brown fan..It is one, if not the best book she has ever written.. Summary: New Orleans will never be the same - wonderful thriller
Review: Corruption that reminds you of today in some cities. A thriller that takes you through the swamps and intrigue of police and politicial corruption. Don't miss it

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A good read, not her best work.
Review: I'll read whatever Sandra Brown writes - old, new, former pen names, etc. The plot does hold one's interest, and has her usual "didn't necessarily see it coming" ending. Not as steamy as her others, but not a waste of time or money. "Charade" and "French Silk" are much better reads
