Summary: good book
Review: a good book, if you are grounded in the Lord, it is a refresher but not as profound if I hadn't already been through some books that deal with this same issue, but very inspirational if you haven't...

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good stuff
Review: After being bombarded every day in this world by things that are not from the Lord, this book is exactly what the doctor ordered. Basic Christian horse sense. I highly recommend this book, and Pastor Cymbala's other book, Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire.

Summary: God Is In Control
Review: Few people follow Christ with the humbleness and devotion of Jim Cymbala. His dedication to surving God leaps from the pages as you read about his incredible life. Fresh Faith is a compilation of stories that have transformed lives. Cymbala considers himself blessed to have been chosen to witness direct encounters with the power of Jesus Christ. This book will bring you to your knees, praying with a faith that you have never known!

Summary: Not as good
Review: Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire was the work of a lifetime. Fresh faith isn't. It's okay, but not as good as the first book, or the ones that followed.

Summary: A Fresh and uplifting look at the impact of faith
Review: I had no idea what the book was all about, but when a friend sent me a copy I started reading it. Right from the beginning, I was uplifted and encouraged by the stories of hope and love that faith enables, and the personal accounts which leap off the pages. The book is a very easy read, and one that can be picked up, left alone a few days and picked up again with little effort required to grasp the context. The author writes in a very conversational tone and uses real life examples, opinion, scripture, and other writings to postulate the need for a fresh look at simple faith in God.

If you are a Christian already, or even have an interest in what Christian faith is all about, I suggest reading this book. It is not dry or scholarly, but rather (as the title indicates) fresh and alive. My only criticism is of the editing. The publishers put those little text boxes on most pages with some text highlighted, so I would stop to read those, and then a few sentences later read the same text again; over and over again. A small annoyance compared to the message though.

Buy this book today, and give your spirits a lift.

Summary: Great, inspiring book
Review: I love the way Pastor Cymbala writes...no frills, to the point, convicting, encouraging. So far, I have read both "Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire" and "Fresh Faith" and come away from both of them filled with both renewed love for my Saviour and sadness over the coldness of some of the churches I have been in. What a difference it would make if more Christians would read these books (along with the Bible of course) and take the message to heart. It would result in a deeper, more loving relationship with Jesus Christ and a enduring compassion for the lost. I recommend both of these books highly. "Fresh Power", which I am about half finished reading, is also a powerful testimony of the workings of the Holy Spirit.

Summary: Not a Strong "Follow-up" Book
Review: I read Fresh Wind Fresh Fire and could not put it down. It changed my life. However, I was very disappointed in Fresh Faith. I struggled to get through it. There is one section of the book that deals with Jeroboam that is outstanding - illustrating that we must trust God's plan and not our own thoughts. Most of the other stories and scripture references do not seem to interrelate well. Some stories are too short, some too long and few drive a point home. If you have read Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire, I would recommend re-reading it before purchasing this book.

Summary: The Truth can set us free
Review: I'm so lifetd up by this book as well as the author's another book 'Fresh wind, fresh fire.' God freshes my soul by using Pastor Cymbala's full perspective on THE CHRISTIAN FAITH , his personal faith to THE TRUE CHRISTIAN FAITH and his congregation's real experiences with THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. Thanks be to God who is worthy be to priased!

Summary: "Fresh Faith" helped refresh my faith in God!
Review: If the day-to-day problems of life have robbed you, this is the book for you! In his follow-up book to "Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire," Jim Cymbala exposes the schemes the Enemy uses to rob God's children of their past, present, and future joys and blessings. "Fresh faith," or a renewed trusting in God, is rightly high-lighted, even during difficulties.

However, this book does not take problems lightly. It sees them for what they are; yet, it sees God as being greater. He can and should be trusted, especially when things are tough.

If your faith seems dry and stale at times, try "Fresh Faith."
