Rating: Summary: My Fav. NDE Books ¿ I¿ve Been There Too Review: One day in 1995 I died, and had a NDE. Ever since then, I've been reading everything I can on the subject. According to most stories I've read, I had an unusual one, not going down a tunnel, but experiencing many interesting phenomena all the same. It seems to me that there are some NDE books and magazine articles that are just hype, and published just to give recognition. I have found, through my many years and multitudes of books on the subject, that there is an underlining truth and spirit that pervades the true experiences. So, I have compiled a list of my best reads for NDE books - ones that I consider genuine and adding validating light to the personal NDE experience. I have left out compilations, such as Journey of Souls, although I enjoyed this book. This list are personal narratives. I hope you enjoy them too. Embraced by the Light ------by Betty J. Eadie Psychic Gifts ---------by Tiffany Snow Saved by the Light --------by Dannion Brinkley 4 Days in Eternity ---------by Wayne F.A. Marentette After the Light -------------by Kimberly Clark Sharp
Rating: Summary: Good information, well written Review: After reading many books by several empowering authors such as Betty Eadie, John Edward, Sylvia Browne, and Tiffany Snow, that I am still reading, my life has opened up to me in such a compelling and wonderful way. This new book is well written, and thought provoking. There are great transforming authors, who shift the consciousness of humankind in a way never known before, and have the courage to reveal their paranormal experiences. The "Journey of Souls" is one of these.
Rating: Summary: One of my absolute favorites Review: This book had a profound impact on me and on nearly everyone I've given or recommended the book to. I'm so surprised I'm writing the first review. If you are on a spiritual path - this is a must read. It is similar to Many Lives Many Masters in the messages within but covers many case stories and focuses on life between lives. It reminds or opens the reader to looking at his/her life from a broad spiritual perspective. I've bought many copies of this book to give as gifts. Rating: Summary: Where do souls come from? Why do they come back? Review: Fascinating account by a hypnotherapist of accounts given to him by his clients of their recollections under hypnosis of their recollections of their soul decisions to incarnate and life between incarnations.29 Case studies are presented and the fact that there are so many suggests that they all can't be "making it up". This is how I came to believe that NDE's occurred...the constant case studies all saying the same thing. I like the raw evidence rather than the subjective interpreation and theorising by the author. Would like to see more cases. Also I am looking for my "soul group" Souls who decided with me to incarnate for a purpose. Hope I find them!
Rating: Summary: STUNNING... Review: This book came across me at a time when I was questioning death and what possibly could there be besides this life. I had just experienced the death of a close loved one, and this book simply left me stunned. Of course, no one here on this earth knows for sure just what, if anything, is in store for us at our time of death. This book will leave you with a lot to think about. Dare I say, before I read this book I was very much scared of death- now I feel much more calm about it and actually almost look forward to it. Very much worth the read.
Rating: Summary: Simply a good book. Review: If you are really open and curious about life after death issues, read this book. Although it is based on deep-trance hypnotic techniques, with the inherent less rigour than NDE studies, it attempts a good general picture of what awaits us whence we drop our mortal coil. It doesn't espouse religion, but it does threaten religious presuppositions. If you are not open to potentially life-changing ideas, then don't bother. It wouldn't interest you anyway.
Rating: Summary: Illuminating Review: I first read Journey of Souls when it first came out. At first, I thought oh no, another new age book. Was I ever wrong. I have read it twice and am in the process of reading it again. As I am a skeptic, I have to say, read it with an open mind. I only wish I could be regressed by Dr. Newton. I have been regressed but not into the spirit world. Wish he'd write another one. I have also read his 2nd book,Destiny of Souls. Another 5 star read.
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC Review: This book is just too wonderful for words. I'm ever so grateful for Dr. Newton for all the work he has put into this book. I just finished DESTINY OF SOULS by him - which is more detailed and requires more attention, but is worth the effort. I learned in MANY LIVES, MANY MASTERS (Brian Weiss, MD) that Christianity did believe in reincarnation, but it was edited out of the Bible in the Roman era. Give this book a try and you will be in awe.
Rating: Summary: Great read but is it true? Review: This book is a great read. Life after death, meaning in life, many lives many opportunities. Wouldn't it be great if it were all true! Nice story but not much proof here. Reminds me of the works of Carlos Castinada, although I think Castinada did a better job making his stories realistic.
Rating: Summary: Highly Recommended!! Review: Must admit I am a true doubting Thomas where certain 'subjects' are concerned...but somehow this seems to ring true.Loved the book and I am certainly looking forward to reading Dr. Newton's other book 'Destiny of Souls', I can only hope another book will follow. All I can say is that I would have loved to have been one of Dr Newton's patients.
