Rating: Summary: Watch out... Review: This book is only for those who have a strong mind, who can read and relate this study with the experience of the seers and sages. For example, the readers may read the book - Autobiography of a Yogi-Paramahansa Yogananda, the chapter on Astral World and see that the description there and the description in this book are pretty similar. Mere reading of the book isnt very helpful. Instead relating this to the writing of sages and understanding the essence helps a lot, especially on the path of spirituality. But for those with weak mind, or for those who cannot understand the essence, this book can be a nightmare. Readers may also read the book - Destiny of Souls by Michael Newton to further understand the underlying principles...
Rating: Summary: A Life Changing Read Review: Dr Michael Newton has produced a book which has been life changing for me and for many others to whom I have recommended this book. When beginning a search for spiritual information some years ago, I was led to this book, which was the first book to really make sense of life after life. The concept of reincarnation and the experiences of learning both during and between incarnations unfolds superbly through the narrative of sessions with Dr Newton's clients. For students of life's meaning, Dr Newton provides a clear understanding of our purpose and the wonders that we have experienced between lives and can look forward to experiencing again after death in this life. A great read, fabulous information and a book which makes genuine sense of why we are here
Rating: Summary: Journey of Souls Review: This is perhaps the most helpful of the self-help books I have ever read. It doesn't tell you what to do or how to help yourself. It merely tells you, through many case examples, where we go when we pass on. It is simple and very informative but has totally turned my world upside down. Now I know that everything I do and say counts for not just my soul but for all those souls around me. I must improve and account for myself so I can move on and get to the place I want and need to be. I do want this life to account for something and I certainly don't want to repeat the patterns I have before so my inward drive has been kicked into overdrive to get this life more right than I could ever have imagined. The book is so simply clear in how we are all working toward the betterment of our souls that to not want to be on that path doesn't seem like much of an option. Michael Newton presents the souls he studies in such a way that it is easy to identify with the situations they are in. Explanations of suicide, handicaps and mental frustrations are all explained in detail. There are few words to describe how the book affects one's daily life until you have read it. A must read for any and all that might hold out for an afterworld.
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: Although some of it I found hard to visualize or beleive, it really gave me a lot to think about. In addition to other books i've read, I have gathered a huge amount of insight into past lives, and life after death. Much of this book has given me the ability to not fear death.
Rating: Summary: Just Great! Review: I think it is probably the greatest book I've ever read. It gives people courage and hope to tolerate all the sufferings.
Rating: Summary: Life Changing! Finally, The Veil is Lifted Review: I couldn't recommend this book more highly. It eliminated any lingering fear of death I had, and explained in detail several hundred questions I still had after studying metaphysics for 25 years. A friend loaned me her copy to read, but I'm buying it for myself. I think this book should be required reading for everyone on Earth, and the world would be a better place. After you read this, you'll want to read "Destiny of Souls" too. Same great information...loads of details about the "afterlife". Enjoy, I did! (Beware of reviewers who cast personal judgements and can't type or spell...)
Rating: Summary: A Good Read, But No Meat In Proof Review: Well written book with an enthralling topic and pace, but not enough to pin all your hopes to this basket of eggs. There is no back up in a scientific sense about his methods used. No other master hypnotist there to witness or back up his claims and interpretations of the sessions. All we have are his assertions that he alone has been able to break this untapped barrier and his claims that his personal viewpoints have not been fed into the subjects or his interpretations of the events they told. I'm afraid anyone could make any such claim and put any angle on it to sell a book. The fact is, this book lacks any proof that such sessions did in deed happen, that it was done in a professional manner if it happened, and if said sessions happened there is no proof that his point of view has remained out of the interpretation of events.
Rating: Summary: Very nice as a work of fiction! Review: I found this book to be entirely unobjective and self indulgent. The book purports to tell you just about everything there ever was to know about souls. The apparent source of this information is a number of anonymous hypnotic subjects regressed to a previous inter earthly existence as a soul in higher dimension. Immediately the rather large ostensive claims of this book should make normally open minded people scamble for cover. In as much as the jury is still out on if human personality survives death, it amazes that this book has every answer including the reworking of souls so terrible they cannot be salvaged. I had a long laugh at some of the reported spiritual experiences , i.e. the one where the reporting person sees his spiritual master with a devil's mask. The Master is just trying to scare the poor apprentice soul! Surely if souls come to this plane with free will, even the murderer and the felon must have a purpose. That purpose is to challenge other victim souls who need to test their metal. How could heavan judge a human villan even as horrendous a Jeffrey Dalmer as anything more than a sick brain that hopefully as a soul recognizes his role in the human drama as the villan. This book will be applauded by the gullible and laughed at my persons such as myself seeking answers to what if anything survives death.
Rating: Summary: Journey of Souls Review: If you are interested in understanding what it is like "in between" one life and the next, this is the book to read. There are several good books on the subject, and this is certainly one of them and a "must read". As soon as his next book "Destiny of Souls" was published I read it with anticipation. I was pleased with the continuation of Dr. Newton's recount of many of his patient regressions.
Rating: Summary: diamonds and stones Review: A teacher once told me that we live in an age where diamonds are scattered are among the stones. This book is a diamond. It reinforces what what I knew but didn't want to belive, that there are no shortcuts for spiritual development. No magic words that I can utter as I lay dying that will save my soul. No easy way to pay the karmic debts incurred durring my long period of alcoholism. What has happened in my life was not preordained. I was and still am in control of my destiny and I am fully responsible for my actions. The difference is now I know my connection to the universe and more importantly to those around me. For those sifting through the stones looking for diamonds, this may be what your seeking. For those going through the stones looking for the pieces they need to reinforce the walls around them, this book will be a disappointment.
