Rating: Summary: A five pancake story Review: If you're a kindergartener or first grader, you will give this book 5 pancakes. We think the detailed pictures are very well drawn. They make the story very, very funny. The funniest character is the pig. We think the younger grades would like this book. There is a funny pattern in the book. This is a great book!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, hilarious and egalitarian! Review: This is the only one of the "if you give a [whatever] a [whatever]" books that has a female heroine. It follows in the proud and silly tradition of the previous books, entertaining adults and kids alike. A great gift for young children.
Rating: Summary: Review of If You Give A Pig A Pancake Review: If you give a pig a pancake, he's going to want some maple syrup. If you give him, syrup he's going to get all stiky and want to take a bath, which leads to a rubber duck, which leads to the farm, and so on! This story takes you through the adventures of the cutest little pig with tap shoes and the patient young girl. This is such a fun book to read! I read If You Give A Mouse A Cookie when I was little over and over, so this version brought me right back to my childhood. I borrowed it from the family I babysat for just so I could show it to my mom who used read me If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. I would recommend this book to anyone, even if they are an adult like me.
Rating: Summary: Bravo Bravo Review: I bought this book, not even knowing what I was getting myself into!... This book is addicting and could read it over and over. Who can resist a darling lil pig in tap shoes? I find myself laughing out loud reading this book. My husband, who does not like reading out loud, loves this book. I give this book A+++++!

Rating: Summary: A Very cute little story Review: This book is wonderful for children! it is one of my favorite children books of all time. It is about a little pig that gets into a big mess and can't makeup his mind what to do next. All in one day he goes on a long edventure and thinks up creative things to do, and is definetly never bored. It all starts out when a girl offers him a pancake from there he gets these crazy ideas and things that seem to relate to eachother, but, dosen't allways finishes what he starts. This would be a lovely book to read to your child when they say, "Theres nothign to do, I'm bored!" It will give them lots of ideas and a better imagination. It also has lovley graphics of that cute little pig.
Rating: Summary: If You Give A Pig A Pancake Review: If You Give A Pig A Pancake is a exelent story. In it it says how a little pig does so much in one day all by starting out with a simple pancake and maple syrup. In his one day edventure he builds and tree house andtakes pictures and even learns how to tap dance. He makes howibble mess of the little girls house but has lots of fun! He procrastinates on things and somtimes even dosent get them done. Hes just so busy and has so many fun and wonderful ideas he dosent know what to do next. This is a great story to read to your childwhen they say they are bored or there is nothing to do. This pig sure found alot of fun adn new things to do just by looking around.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining tale of a pig and a girl Review: What happens when a pig comes over for breakfast? Will she ask for maple syrup? Will she tap dance? Will she make a tree house? According to Laura Numeroff, the pig may do all these things and much more. The story begins as a piglet interrupts a girl who is having breakfast. The girl offers the piglet a pancake. You would think the piglet would be satisfied with that, but instead she asks for some syrup. The girl complies. Soon, the pig makes many more requests, such as asking the girl to take her picture, mail some letters, and find materials for making a tree house. In my favorite part of the book, the girl tries to find a rubber ducky for the pig, who wants to take a bath. Meanwhile, you can see the pig in the background pouring a box of bubble powder into the bathtub. This pig is never satisfied! In some ways, a book is about how friends often ask you to do them favors, and how happy your friends can be if you help them out. The book shows that you can have fun doing favors for your friends, too. The story is funny because the piglet enjoys doing unusual things such as rubbing sticky things all over her body and tap dancing. Also, the illustrations complement the story very well. They give you a strong sense of the piglet's character and help you visualize the piglet's adventures. The pictures are quite detailed, so I didn't notice certain things about them until I re-read the book. I recommend this book to people who like reading stories about animals interacting with people. I also recommend this book to 5 to 8 year-old girls, because the girl in the story is about that age. People who like clever illustrations would probably enjoy the pictures in this book. Finally, if you enjoyed If You Give a Mouse a Cookie or If You Give a Moose a Muffin by the same author, you may like this book.
Rating: Summary: I can't wait to read this book! Review: Oh my goodness! When I was little my life was all about "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". It was my favorite book, then my little brother was born and I introduced it to him. He loved it, too, and put it in his bookshelf. I just reacently found it again, and brought it to school to share with all my friends. I saw the ad for this book and I got so excited! I had no idea there were other books to go along with Mouse... I can't wait to go get the rest of the books and read them. It sounds immature being that I'm a junior in high school.. but these books are the best! (I couldn't really rate the book since I havent read it YET, I just rated it on how much I think I'll like it!)
Rating: Summary: Piggylicious Review: This book was given as a gift to my two year old daughter. She goes through spurts where this is the only book she carries around with her. The picutres are wonderful and she spends long periods of time looking at the book. The pictures allow her to tell the story to herself or whoever will llisten.
