Rating: Summary: I like it this book because the pig never finished anything. Review: The funniest part of the story was the pig doing stuff before he was finished with another. I liked the part where he built a barn treehouse. I liked the part where he gets all sticky and does the whole story all over again.
Rating: Summary: It is very very funny!! Review: The pig made a barn tree house. The Pig is very Cute and strong. The pig likes maple syrup!!!!!.
Rating: Summary: This is funny ! Review: Never give a pig a pancake because she will want some syrup. I think you should read it too because it is a great book.
Rating: Summary: A favorite book! Review: This one is even zanier than "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". Our toddler loves pointing out items in the pictures and trying to tell us the story--she can "read" it almost as well as we can!
Rating: Summary: Great introduction for teaching cause/effect Review: I have used "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" for a Literary Switch Day activity with students across grade levels 1-8. After reading this darling book, the students composed their very own school "Because Story." Each student did a watercolor picture to illustrate their words and then all of the pages were bound together for a school wide book which was added to the school library for all students to enjoy. I have also used "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie," and "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" in the past.
Rating: Summary: this is the funniest title of the 3 available by this author Review: My special needs son and I read this book together at the store, and we both laughed and giggled our way through it. This is such a good cause-and-effect series of books that are so well illustrated and so darn cute! I love this book the most of all three titles.
Rating: Summary: Excellent. Review: This is a book for children of all ages, not just 4-8. I have 3 children, the youngest of which is 16 months old. All three love it. The pictures are adorable (especially the pig) and the story is typical of children's thoughts (flying from one thing to the next). My 8 yr old likes to read it to the baby and laughs with the story which makes the baby laugh. If you liked the "If you give a mouse a cookie..." book, you will love this one also.
Rating: Summary: Another excellent book from Laura Numeroff Review: My children loved this book, as well as If you Give A Mouse a Cookie and If you Give a Moose a Muffin. They are very fun read aloud books.
Rating: Summary: One of the cutest books we've read yet! Very creative. Review: We have all of the books by this author (such as If You Give a Moose A Muffin, etc.) and this is by far the best. That pig is darling and we have read it time and time again. We think the author should release some similar titles with the same artist doing the work (we have a few suggestions). My six year old daughter says this is her favorite book ever.
Rating: Summary: Excellent children's book with darling illustrations Review: This entertaining book--along with Ms. Numeroff's other "If You Give..." books is an excellent tool to teach cause and effect to young readers.
