Rating: Summary: Al Gore Review: I would say don't give up your day job, but I really don't know what his day job is nowadays. Certainly not an author nor a president.
Rating: Summary: Al and Tipper, Two Corageous and Honest Authors Review: The warmth and intelligence of this work which examines the new environment of the American family shows the same intellectual, spiritual and political intelligence of Al and Tipper Gore, as was obvious for Al's Earth in the Balance..Every informed person in America knows that mainstream media is controlled by the same cartels that have financed the dark events of 2000 and are now financing a steady assault against Al Gore in an attempt to weaken his chances in 2004. Media lies to the effect that Al claimed to have invented the internet when he in fact helped create the present electronic web as everyone in the industry knows is now turning into a media silence or misinformation about this extraordinary work and Al Gore vision for America.. I recently was advised by personal friends in the television networks that the orders from above are to either ignore Al Gore or criticize his appearance, his every work but never engage him in serious debate. Al Gore was awarded by UNECO.org a literary place in the environmental roster of the greats for his famous "Earth in the Balance." "Joined at the heart" has been nominated for UNECO 2003 literary award as the most competent and deepest work on the complexities of family and of Love. Family environment is part and parcel of human ecology and Al and Tipper Gore are indeed experts on the subject. This book demonstrate that Al Gore will make a great President when he will be re-elected in 2004 because he is a complete man with brains, heart and soul...
Rating: Summary: Great Bedtime Reading! Review: I see that as of today, ..., Al's book is ranked 50,034 on Amazon. Seems a little high. This is a tricky book, because, although it's a good non-narcotic substitute for sleeping pills, when you dip into the well of Al Gore's mind, you have to be careful not to slip over the line into narcolepsy. Incredibly boring stuff, by a true stiff. I skimmed the first few chapters in the bookstore, and found myself nodding off still standing. You just gotta admit that Al is a powerful writer...better than Sominex!
Rating: Summary: Not even a dog deserves this Review: Gore proves once again how big of a simpleton he is. This drivel shows just how out of touch he is with real America and real Americans. Hopefully his upcoming trip to China will show the nitwits who drool over him just how much of a danger he is to this country. Never would I ever recommend a "book burning" but in the case of this book, either use the pages to house train a dog- or better yet burn the book so as to not frighten the dog.
Rating: Summary: A Nice Family Book Review: I found this book to be an insight on the American Family's and what other people in our Great Country live like. The sister book to this one is also wonderful! Filled with thoughful photos, that make you think. A Wonderful Book by Al Gore, I plan to purchase another as a Gift!
Rating: Summary: Joined at the Heart Review: Not bad...but I enjoyed the other Al Gore book--At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried To Steal the Election better.
Rating: Summary: Al and Tipper have no Business discussing family Review: What makes Al and Tipper (or their ghostwriter) experts on families? And why are all permutations of families considered morally eqivalent? The damage done by these "thinkers" and their sensitive anything-goes mentality will reverberate negatively for generations. Just remember: Al said that Clinton was the greatest president. 'Nuff said.
Rating: Summary: overly simplistic, obvious, sentimental drivel Review: I guess the idea was to establish Al Gore's "family values"? Who in the world did they think would want to read this preachy, platitudinous tome? The book if full of obvious statements, and simplistic gibberish. They do highlight a "gay" family. See you right wing people! Gay people can have families too! So there! I like the part about encouraging gay adoption. Very popular with the Washington crowd. Don't know how it'll sell in Peoria though. This book is a joke. It's comical that they had a "book tour" and all. The book isn't selling and it's at 3,000 on Amazon.com's bestseller list. Not too good for a recently released book.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: for my fireplace - burns better than the duraflame logs I have... I got this book from my local bookstore and try to give it away for free - but no takers among my friends... the more I read this book, the more I recall the overt plastic feel of the former Veep. Somehow, something bothers me - can I say this book is full of narcissism and nihilism.
Rating: Summary: No reviews here! Review: The book is about all kinds of families. If you haven't found yours here, or learned about others, that is your loss. Many of the people supposedly reviewing this book here are only Gore bashers, with a lot of time on their hands and a lot of hate in their hearts. Pity they can't find other things to do. At least they should 'attempt' to be compassionate conservatives!
