Review: The issues presented in this book (difficulty in school, an abusive parent, feeling like the outsider) are as prevelent today as they were when I read this book over a decade ago. You won't believe how much you will relate to Marcy and get absorbed into her world and her daily struggles. You will literally feel what she is feeling.

Summary: Just as I remember it!
Review: Oh Boy! I remember these (meaning Paula Danziger) books from when I was Marcy's age. I guess they're in a new printing since I'm in my 30's. It may have been re-formatted a little bit (I mainly mean the cover, my 8 year old daughter would choke over the fashions depicted on MY version) but happily, the message still hits home. I'm slowly accquiring these again for my daughter to enjoy as I did, life's lessons can be learned through entertaining reading. Thanx to Paula Danzinger on behalf of the next generation!

Summary: THIS BOOK IS GREAT!!!!
Review: I went to Half-Price Books and I saw this book.I thought that this would be just a boring book, but was I wrong. The man at the counter told me that the book is a classic. It's about this girl named Marcie who feels bad about her weight and herself. then Marcie's new teacher,Ms. Finney, comes along and everything changes.Ms. Finney helps Marcie overcome her weight problem. This is also reccomened to people who have a weight problem.

Summary: You gotta love this book.
Review: Take a self descirbed "blimp" with issues and bittersweet sense of humor and give her an English teacher that actually makes her want to learn, and you get the scene at Marcy's jr. high school. That is, until the jerk-off principal busts Ms. Finney for not saying the pledge of alligence(!). So Marcy takes a stand for what she believes in and the results aren't always too pretty. Bottom line? The whole thing is very realistic and I'm sure many people have at least some of Marcy's problems and can realate. Even if you can't, read it cause it'll make you laugh!!!

Summary: It was funny!
Review: I love all Paula Danziger's books besides the Amber Brown ones. Those are for 3rd and 4th graders. Come on. It described how an overweight girl can overcome obsticles and get a boyfriend and be happy. The end with Ms. Finney (not Miss Finney) is very odd.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is full of funny but exiting surprises!
Review: This book is hillarious! I could read it over and over and over again! Marcy Lewis(one of the main characters) calls herself a blimp but then at the end thinks she is a helium balloon! What will she think of next? This book is a must read kind of book. It has to be my favorite!
