Rating: Summary: has great potential, but disappointing Review: (...) While it presents many ideas with great potential, the character development suffers mightily and the dialogue is typical inelegantly-presented medieval romance. Ariane's personality is inconsistently portrayed and both Ariane's and Simon's inner monlogues are irritatingly unrealistic and lacking in depth. Much of the story remained unsaid, the inclusion of which would have added much needed texture and depth."Enchantment" could do with an expanded rewrite - it has the potential to be a great medieval romance if rethought and rewritten into its full impressive potential.
Rating: Summary: Timeless! Review: I've lost count of how many times I have read this great book. I Of all the books in this trilogy, I like this one the best because there is so much electricity between Simon and Ariane. And the heroine isn't some weak willed female panting after the hero's caress like I've read in some other romance novels. Finally, here's a romance novel where the main characters don't go at it by page 50! (Because honestly, I find lines like "she couldn't control herself...she wanted him so badly" to be complete bull) The ending was especially touching, with Simon telling Ariane that she was the bravest warrior he had ever known, and I thought to myself, "it's about bloody time you gave her the love she deserves!!!"
Rating: Summary: What an Awesome Story Review: Of the three books written in this trilogy, this is my favorite. Simon and Arianne are both very strong characters with issues from their past. I love the way these two come together and build something together that both amazes them and totally draws me in. I have recommended this book to my friends but I've never given up my original copy as I still go back and read this strong and powerful story often. I have heard that Eric's story is finally being written. I cannot wait to read it. I have been eagerly awating it as I thought by some of the comments in this book, that there was a story for Eric and perhaps Serena, the weaver in the making.
Rating: Summary: enchanting Review: i really don't know how many times i read this book. i actually think that it's addictive!
Rating: Summary: From a long-time fan Review: I have been a long time fan of Ms Lowell and have read and collected every available book of hers I could lay my hands on. I have found each of her books to have a charm all its own and consider them as "keepers". I have to agree with a lot of other readers though that "Enchanted" was the best of her three medieval romances. Simon and Arianne were in a class of their own. I have read and re-read their story at least 20x and I'm sure will do so at least 20 more times. It is a book that I can recommend wholeheartedly. Message to author: By the way, I have just read that Ms Lowell has finally written Erik's story. I would just like to tell her that I, like countless others of your fans, have been looking forward to reading his story for years and I'm glad and thankful that you were finally able to "put him together". I can hardly wait. Thank you Ms Lowell for all the hours of pleasure you have given me through you books. You're a great and imaginative writer/storyteller. Good luck, always.
Rating: Summary: Her best series ever Review: I've always enjoyed Elizabeth Lowell's books and Untamed, Forbidden and Enchanted have got to be some of the best stories she has ever written. My only complaint is where is Erik's story and will he be teamed with Serena, the woman who made Ariane's dress? This is a wonderful series and i highly reccommend that all romance lovers read it! ;o)
Rating: Summary: Loved the book - good news for Erik fans Review: I loved this book and, reading the reviews below, thought I would put everyone out of their misery. I have just read that Erik's story is due out in June under the title Moving Target!
Rating: Summary: Enchanted Review: The book was fabulous, in fact it is my favorite re-read. The Problem was the Audio!!! How could you take such a wonderful book and reduce it to that Audio version, Why don you try it again----the unabridged version this time
Rating: Summary: SUCH A WONDERFUL READ THAT I AM LEFT CRAVING FOR MORE Review: UNTAMED, ENCHANTED, AND FORBIDDEN HAVE GOT TO BE THE THE BEST (AND I MEAN "BEST") ROMANCE NOVEL'S THAT I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF READING. I'M SURE THAT I CAN SPEAK FOR THE REST OF ELIZIBETH LOWELL'S FAN'S WHEN I ASK THAT SOMEONE "PLEASE" SOMEHOW REACH HER AND BEG HER TO TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE ERIK AND SVEN'S STORIES. IT HAS BEEN LIKE BEING TOTALLY ENGROSSED IN A MOVIE OR MINI SERIES AND MISSING OUT ON THE ENDING. WE WANT MORE OF ENCHANTED, MORE OF UNTAMED AND MORE OF FORBIDDEN.I'M AN ADDICT AND I NEED A FIX.
Rating: Summary: will the author write Erik's story? Review: I have read all three of the medieval romances and love them a lot. I just wonder if Elizabeth Lowell could write Erik's story. Yes it is about six years after the last book "Enchanted" was written, but Erik does seem a very passionate man who deserves a mate. I hope the author comes accross this review and considers writing this final story.
