Rating: Summary: Audiobook is disappointing Review: Being a fan of Eliziabeth Lowell, I'll buy anything with her name on it. This tape has taught me "buyer beware." First I was appalled that the reader did not have the appropriate accent. Secondly, I was stunned that the book had been condensed enough to fill only one side of the tape. The audio is repeated start to finish on side 2! I was very unimpressed. The book was wonderful and exciting and suspenseful but the tape is dull, boring, and bland. Save your money and buy the book.
Rating: Summary: Your Best Vacation Review: I just discovered "Elizabeth Lowell" - Lucky Me! I read Forbidden, Untamed, and Enchanted in one week. I couldn't help it. She woos, enchants, frustrates, enthralls, and overjoys her readers. HELP! What happens to Amber's, Erik? Is there a fourth book I've missed, or do we go begging to Elizabeth?
Rating: Summary: A disappointment Review: I was disappointed when this tape arrived. Accustomed to enjoying Elizabeth Lowell's books on tape I was surprised this story had been condensed onto only one tape. I was even more dissappointed when I heard a woman speaking with no accent.
Rating: Summary: Elizabeth Lowell is without a doubt a master storyteller Review: I rank this trilogy among her very best works. My favorite will always be "The Diamond Tiger" writing with her husband as Ann Maxwell, but these are excellent books and I will always buy anything she writes.
Rating: Summary: This is a super book. Review: Like its companions, Untamed and Forbidden, this book is truly a masterpiece. It's rich in love and lust and magic, like the Learned abilities of Erik and Amber. I didn't like it as much as say, Forbidden, but all three of the books in this trilogy are extremly cool. If there was a book about Erik, who happens to be my favorite character, I know I would run out and buy it, whether in hardcover or paperback. If you haven't read this trilogy, it is a major must.
Rating: Summary: If one book must distinguish EL it's this one Review: After many years of following Ms Lowell's books, this one is to be the one that makes all the others pale. The characters are very real in their emotions and the story holds you. Truly a master romance book.
Rating: Summary: Best in the trilogy! Review: This book was the best in the trilogy. The others are also very good but I was drawn more to the story of Araine and Simon. It was just so interesting that you just kept thinking about them whenever you put the book down. I wonder if the is a book about Erik, I would really like to read his story too.
Rating: Summary: One of Lowell's all time best! Review: Once again, Elizabeth Lowell (a.k.a. Ann Maxwell) has created a masterpiece. Only this time, she has gone above and beyond all expectations! One of the first books to enter into my Elizabeth Lowell/Ann Maxwell collection, I enjoyed every page, word and sentence. The hint of magic and the intrigue of special powers only enhanced the already excellent work. I can only wish that more writers would write in this realistic, yet somehow fantastic style. I originally picked up this book because it pertained to medieval times and was by an author from which had come other masterpieces such as Lover in the Rough and Autumn Lover. After reading these prime works of literature, I was sure nothing could be better . . . I was wrong. This book excels above and beyond anything anyone ever imagined. Well done, Lowell!
Rating: Summary: Enchanting!!! Review: This was the best of the trilogy. The book caught me as one that is more likely to happen today then any others, for Ariane was not untouched! My favorite character is Simon. He was my favorite even in the first book. Dominic was great...but for some reason Simon just caught my eye. I really am hoping that a fourth book will be wrote about Erik. He was a kind of mystery. And most captivating. To be able to talk to animals and also have so much to give.......surely he deserves to be loved!! Readers will be happier with a fourth book!!
Rating: Summary: A medieval must-read! Review: Elizabeth Lowell is a masterful author of medieval romance! The characters in the trilogy wrap themselves completely around the reader, preventing these books from being put down! Though it has been 4 years since the publishing date of the last in this trilogy, a 4th book about Erik would be sorely appreciated by readers!
