Summary: THIS BOOK IS OVERRATED!!
Review: I just finished reading this book, and have to say it was a serious let-down in light of the reviews. Let me save you some time and money: 1) You are responsible for your own life, so do something about it. 2) Make a plan for yourself. 3) Focus on what's important. 3)You reap what you sow--so sow well. 4)Seek mutually beneficial relationships. 5) Have empathy and be considerate to others. 6)Be cooperative. 7) Take care of yourself--mind, body, and soul. ----Ground-breaking stuff, isn't it?!?! Mr. Covey is a wealthy man for this?! Hmmmmmmm.

Summary: A Master work feeling until you close it !!
Review: That happens with almost books in this area.
They never tell you how difficult it is in the life to change words in acts. And this is a very different challenge you will face as soon as you close the book, no matter how convinced or delighted you are with the master piece.
How many people did improve their life with the reading and how many failed even to apply a single chapter ?
Words are a very comfortable chair and practice
like sitting on a hard wood.

Summary: READ IT, YES...BUT I DOUBT YOU'LL BUILD YOUR LIFE AROUND IT.
Review: IT'S A GREAT AND IMPORTANT WORK THAT EVERY PROGRESSIVE PERSON SHOULD READ. I DOUBT ANYONE COULD BUILD THEIR LIFE AROUND IT, THOUGH. TO NOT READ IT IS TO BE UNINFORMED. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT A VERY INSPIRING PHILOSOPHY TO BUILD YOUR LIFE AROUND. AT TIMES IT SMELLS OF "MANIPULATION." WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER TO BE "REAL?"

Summary: Every student starting college should read it.
Review: This is a wonderful book. Every student stsrting college should read it. It's like a mental pressure release system. It helped me avoid getting stressed out. In addition, Covey shows you how to be yourself and feel good about who you are.

Summary: effective, somewhat
Review: I enjoyed listening to the tape series of '7 Habits of Highly Effective People'. The seven habits described are very true to be present within an individual to succeed in any endevor of life. However, I do feel that Steven Covey doesn't describe enough on how to obtain these 7 habits so they are lasting as a habit is. I do plan on reading the book '7 Habits of Highly Effective People' and maybe there are more tools on aquiring these habits.

Summary: So simple, so useful, so insightful - I wish I'd read sooner
Review: I could not believe how simple, and useable this book is. I have read, re-read, and encouraged all my friends to read as well. This is a must-read for all professional, families, and people just wanting to be more effective in their lives. It is a book of practical knowledge that needs to be read by all. Philip Wagoner

Summary: A must-read
Review: This book has helped me gain a fresh perspective on who I am, realizing where I want to go, and how to get there. It is a fun to read, powerful, and insightful book that will aid anyone in the process of self improvement. Its approach is far superior to the large array of quick fix, feel-good books out there. I strongly encourage anyone who wants to transcend their present situation to read this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I've given a copy to everyone in my family
Review: Covey captures the character problem in America. In the midst of band-aid pop psychology Covey has done more than create another set of buzzwords. These principles, while easy to understand are very challenging to implement. However the rewards are endless, just like the principles.

Summary: You can't just read about the habits, you have to own them.
Review: This is an excellent book for a study group of up to five people. I have been involved in two study groups, and they are better than therapy! Yes you already know to live your life pricipally centered, but by studying those principles, and truly using them in your day to day living, you begin to own those habits. It truly expands your lens of the world. I recommend it for anyone.
