Rating: Summary: You Can Have My College Degree!!! Review: I was fortunate enough to hear Mr. Kiyosaki speak at a conference, and I tell you, what I heard had me tossing and turning the rest of the night. "If I'd only known this 15 years ago." I immediately listened to his audiocassette numerous times and then I read the book. Who needs college!!!??? After four years of college and $25,000 in student loans, I hadn't learned as much as I had in that one weekend seminar. Well I'm no longer just a wage slave, I've since gone on to building my own business to secure my financial freedom, in addition (for now) to my 9 to 5. I could never understand why I just didn't seem to be getting ahead. Now I know its because most job salary increases just keep pace with the rate of inflation. You can't win! Do yourselves and your children a favor, read and re-read this book! It will change your lives!
Rating: Summary: Rich Dad Poor Dad - Break your 'poor for life' mindset Review: This book could well be added to the Think & Grow Rich and the Richest Man in Babylon styles of wealth creation. This difference with this book is that Robert's style is much more aggresive in risk taking than the other two and what he does do is provide you with an easy to understand visual interpretation of a Balance sheet. This book was recommended to me by a friend who is no financial wizard by any stretch of the imagination. The Balance Sheets make it easy to identify if you are going to be stuck in the 'Rat Race' forever and how to choose to gain true control over your finacial destiny. Probably the greatest thing this book can offer you is an understanding that it really isn't that difficult to gain control and begin securing your future. Well worth a read.
Rating: Summary: Invest $15.95 to make a million Review: Just finished this book. Fantastic!!!! If I had read this at age 25 I would be worth many times over what I am now. The simple underlying values conveyed in the book are the stuff millionares are made of.
Rating: Summary: Absolute must read for college students today Review: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" rips open the paradigm of education in our modern day. Addressing the seemingly fearful subject of money with boldness and accuracy. If there was no other refrence on personal financial understanding, there would be no need to panic. True knowlege emerges after the 4th or 5th reading. Finaly someone has confronted the present financial bottleneck with a short and quaint observation of personal disciplin and psycology. I have never promoted another book as much as "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". Buy it and read it. Your financial life may depend on this. - Rick Spencer
Rating: Summary: Readable, enlightning, and motivating! Review: Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter have written a wonderful book! They have given my husband and I additional hope that we don't have to follow the middle class lifestyle forever. I am building a home-based business, and heard that once you make the money you can lose it unless you learn how to keep it. Robert and Sharon have taught me more about keeping it! We are looking forward to taking action on their recommendations. I encourage you to read it and do the same!
Rating: Summary: This book has changed the way that I think about money. Review: An easy to read book that reinvents the fundamentals of personal finance and wealth. All schools should have this book as a must read.
Rating: Summary: Kiyosaki has got it 100% right Review: A friend recommended this book saying "I bet you already know this" as I retired last year aged 42 years old. I picked it up thinking "another dumb book on how to time the market'. Instead I found a book that does understand the philosophy required for a sucessful life. If only everyone in the world could read and understand it. I'm going to form a Cashflow Club using his game to teach kids and adults.
Rating: Summary: This book teaches you how to think. Review: Recently I went to a convention where this book was being promoted. Rich Dad Poor Dad opened my eyes to a whole new level of thinking! I now understand HOW and WHY to do the things I need to do to make my money work for me. A friend of mine also read the book and travels down the road with his children pointing out various things asking them, "Is that an asset or a liability?" It's funny, but they get it right every time.
Rating: Summary: Every parent on the planet should read this book Review: If you consider yourself middle class you must read this book. It is what your parents should have and would have taught you if they had known.
Rating: Summary: Sensible and Sound Review: Mr. Kiyosaki has written a simple, easy-to-read text that delivers a sensible and sound approach to building financial security. I liked the fact that he did not espouse greed and a "win at all costs" attitude as so many other books of this genre advocate. A friend of mind lent me this book and after reading it cover to cover in a couple of days, I purchased my own copy. I would highly recommend it to anyone. You'll be a wiser person for it!
