Rating: Summary: Excellent way to Wealth without Risk Review: Rich Dad Poor Dad offers the philosophy and methods that helped turn Robert Kiyosaki into a multi millionaire. It also helped turn Roberts real Rich Dad into a incredible success as well. With job security at an all time low (J-O-B really stands for just over broke anyway), there never has been a better time to take control of your personal assets, take charge of your life and become a success. Rich Dad Poor Dad shows the way. Some other books that I recommend are Cash Flow Quadrant, More Wealth Without Risk and Super Self, the latter two by Charles J. Givens which are all about taking control. Super Self shows the way to becoming "ten feet tall and bullet proof." If you are looking for results, try reading Rich Dad Success Stories. Another winner.
Rating: Summary: Worth Learning the Facts Review: Some extensive research has been done on Kiyosaki, so I won't bother repeating it here (I also want to avoid getting ripped by the 5-star reviewers who revere Kiyosaki in cult-like fashion . . . pretty creepy). Learn (and think) for yourself: http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html
Rating: Summary: Excellent book to motivate you to get rich. Review: Rich Dad, Poor Dad dispells myths about options that professional people and the middle class in general accumulate through hard work. You learn that income producing assets are where you should focus your attention. You are taught that your biggest obstacle to wealth is in your mind. If you think correctly, you will get rich. This book is excellent because it motivates you to move above mediocrity and complacency. Read Optimal Thinking: How to Be Your Best Self as well, to optimize your thinking so that you can rise above disturbing emotions and situations and make the most of every situation.
Rating: Summary: A must read for a beginner millioner Review: In my opinion this is a great book, It is easy to read and gives you a lot of things to think about. I have read the reviews and many people give this book bad ones, those people are the ones that are going to be poor for the rest of their lives. One review said: "If it is so easy why isn't everyone doing it" Well maybe they all think like you, Maybe you should open your mind and try new things, Don't be affraid!! What this book does is make you think, it is not going to tell you how to do things step by step, it will give you the main idea and the rest is up to you, don't foget when years go by, things change, 10 years ago the formula might have been different,it is all about the main idea and how you use it!!! I agree with people say that the writting is not the best, but don't forget he is not a writer he is an investor and he wrote this book in the way he thought it should be written, Just read it, enjoy it, try to absorb as much as you can and get motivated. I loved the book!!
Rating: Summary: Needs editor Review: This book could have been about 10 pages long if the author wouldn't have babbled on and on about his conversations with Rich Dad. I have his guide to investing too. Shut up already and give us the facts!
Rating: Summary: Is This A Cult ? Review: I must say that I haven't read this book yet and was browsing through the "Reviews" to see if I should buy a copy ........ I was surprised to see how people who disagree with the author get attacked and ridiculed by the devotees of the author ...... Have never seen anything like this for a book .... Is this a cult with Mr. Kiyosaki being the beloved Cult leader who can never ever be wrong on any thing? .... Oh, boy ... 3 stars just to maintain my neutrality ..
Rating: Summary: Want to know who made money with RD's advice??? Review: Then pick up a copy of Rich Dad's Success Stories. If you want borderline slander, in fact, flat out lies, then read the 1 star reviews and you too can look forward to a life of sitting in front of your pc bashing good books and good people like Kiyosaki. And you too can look forward to a life of being broke, miserable and alone.

Rating: Summary: How many people who actually read this book become rich? Review: While I found the stories appealing at first, if you dig deeper into the book the message becomes evident: "You too can become rich with these simple techniques." In this sense it is no better than a get rich quick infomercial. The sad truth if there was such a simple formula to making money, everyone would do it. Just keep this in mind while reading or considering the purchase of these types of books.
Rating: Summary: A book more about philosophy Review: If you are looking for a book that telling you how to get rich fast and hoping getting a formula that let you retire at age of 40. This may not be the one you want. Actually, if there is a formula existing, everyone will be rich by now. This is more about a book point out different thinkings lead to different financial situations. I learned a lot from the book. from different angle to see the world of finance. Actually, I and my wife are so similar to the poor dad in the book. Good education background, two salaries, believe house is personal biggest asset, and of course, suffered from high mortgage, high California tax, high California sales tax, and high property tax. Before reading this book, I have my 'poor dad' financial planning. But it will only work if none of us are sick, disable, laid off and unemployed for long, oh, yeah, no big earthquake happened in next 30 years and no raised tax from congress and California Democrate. It's a gamble, but with 'poor dad' thinking, this is the only solution we have. This book not only telling me the truth I don't want to admit but also point out a different thinking that help me better prepare to stay afloat.
