Rating: Summary: Ann's point has been proven... Review: ...Just read the one star reviews below. Rather than engage in a reasonable point-counterpoint review, the disagreeing reviewer simply has to make commentary as to Ms. Coulter's sexual needs. That makes sense, not to me, but I'm sure to some lefties it does. Unbelievable. Just smile knowingly, and be confident in the fact that you are right and the silent majority agrees with you. Read this book, you will enjoy it. Even more when you see a shreiking liberal talking head on TV.
Rating: Summary: An embarrassment to decent Republicans everywhere Review: I simply can't believe that a person who distorts the facts and spews such hate speech can be the darling of any rational, fair-minded political party. Ann Coulter's vicious, unfounded statements could easy inspire some lunatic to kill someone. She should be ashamed.
Rating: Summary: It's about time Review: It's about time someone came out with a well researched, well foot noted book into the liberal news media, and the outlandish claims made by so many on the left. I found the book engaging, but at the same time frustrated. Oh, I was not frustrated with Ann's bold approach to the issues, but with the media, liberals, and many others who attempt to spin actual events to their pleasing. Thank you Ann for providing a testament of what is really going on in America, it was long overdue.
Rating: Summary: The pot calls the kettle 'black.' Review: Coulter's "Slander" proves one thing: Americans will buy just about anything. Coulter "ditto heads" aren't just buying the book though, they're also buying into the spew contained within!Any person with a scintilla of intelligence will reject Coulter's nonsense for what it is: a transparent attempt to SLANDER those with a different viewpoint as something slightly less evil than Satan. Maybe someone should tell the pot (Coulter) she is every bit as 'black' as the kettle she accuses. Maybe someone should give her a mirror?
Rating: Summary: Slam-dunk, hole-in-one, knock-out punch Review: Ann Coulter's book on the demonization of everything conservative is a slam-dunk, hole-in-one, knock out tour-de-force on one of the greatest problems facing our country. Ann thoroughly documents case after case of how the tools of propoganda have been exploited by dominant left wing forces throughout politics and the media to undermine, dehumanize and eliminate all opposition. The sad result is the stagnation of any political process or dialogue which can actually produce the best end product in the public interest. Every worthwhile policy implemented in the last 25 years came about in spite of this stifling "blabocracy" and only through the dogged determination and patience of conservatives, helped lately by the promising rise of talk radio and the internet. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!
Rating: Summary: Smarmy - not slander Review: My mis-steak I ordered this book and after a much disappointment put the lousey book down and wondered - what the heck? Coulter is a smug and smarmy preppie liberal with more attiitude and arrogance (based on fiction) since....oliver North.
Rating: Summary: It's a crock--But it's a fun-to-read crock Review: Ms. Coulter's hysteria and wild imagination make for fun, if fantasy-laden reading. The scary part is that some people take this stuff seriously. Her rage gets a bit tedious after a while, though. Basically, she talks about liberals the way WWII Nazi S.S. officers talked about Jews. And she never lets up. But no doubt, she's laughing all the way to the bank. Talk about leading a charmed life!
Rating: Summary: Ann's book = garbage! Review: This book is a blatent display of ignorance. It lacks depth and credibility. Ann needs to do some research and read a few history books. Its easy to blame problems on people who have different opinions than you, rather than putting together a valid argument to support your own ideas and opinions. Thumbs down, Ann.
Rating: Summary: The 1-star reviews here are worth the price of admission! Review: Oh, my the liberals are getting desperate... Can't say as I blame them, though - it's always terribly uncomfortable to have one's inconsistencies and hypocrisies put under a spotlight.... no wonder they're fighting this book tooth and nail. The book is VERY funny, throughout - though I'm not surprised that some can't see the intense humor in the situations presented. I see extremism presented as the other edge of the pendulum swing - both are preposterous, but where one extreme exists so must the other or there is no balance. You'll have sooo many "Aha" moments as you read these pages - you'll remember particular incidents and suddenly understand why it was covered the way it was in the media. (or not covered at all!) Ms. Coulter's personality always attracts a lot of attention - like Rush Limbaugh's... and it seems to me, as with Limbaugh, a lot of the public persona is about ratings and keeping the controversy and attention up. Flamboyant and overly opinionated... overdone as Liberace, but just as wickedly funny as he was, too. I don't agree with much of her stated politics, but this book was very entertaining! I also read "Bias" by Bernard Goldberg, and that book makes the same points but in a quieter way and with more "insider's" knowledge than Ms. Coulter's book. (Ms. Coulter's books is the easier read, though.)
Rating: Summary: Outstanding...just listen to the liberals whine. Review: If Ann wasn't so dead-on in her book, you wouldn't be hearing the ridiculous outcrys in these reviews.
