Rating: Summary: Worst book I've ever read!!! Review: Out of all the books I've ever read in my life, this one has got to be the worst. Not only do I not believe that the words came from Princess Diana herself, but I don't believe any of the information came from anyone on the other side. Now I am not a non-believer of afterlife or most of what is stated in the book, I just found the information general and more or less intended for someone in their early teens searching for ways to better their life and to understand life a little better. If Princess Diana really wanted to get a message accross to us, I could not find one bit of information important enough to have the overpowering desire to contact Ms. Toomey to write a book on her behalf. Princess Diana's life was extrodinary and this book does not even capture the warmth of her heart at all. In this book, Princess Diana (supposedly Princess Daina) talked about how she took a nap in heaven, how she swam with the dolphins in heaven; and how after all this, she finally realized she had long flowing hair in chapter four. How the women spirts were "shorter and rounder" and the men "taller and thinner." The family and friends she talked to on earth and in heaven while in heaven was odd in itself because not once did she talk to the two people who meant the most to her -- her two boys. I think they would have been her number one priority. I found nothing worthy of my time to read in this book. In my opinion, there are people who use the good name of Princess Diana, as well as other famous people, to make financial gains. I believe this book is one of those. It's a shame, but it does happen. This book was so bad, I would not recommend it anyone.
Rating: Summary: Heavenly Di Review: Reading about the life of Princess Diana is something that I never get tired of. This is the first book I have read by her (via Christine Toomey)after her death. I was absolutely intrigued. We not only learned what really happened the night of the accident, but how things are and what to expect on the other side. I am sure I will read it more that once. I hope the Princess contacts Ms. Toomey again for an update. Diana is truly the "Queen of Hearts".
Rating: Summary: Full of humour and joy! Review: Right then -- I admit I read this book only for the unintentional humour and I wasn't disappointed! This is an exquisitely silly book that would never have found a publisher if poor old Diana hadn't been hauled in to give it a certain tarnished cachet. You know it was good to learn Diana is still hanging out with celebs in the afterlife.
Rating: Summary: Believeable! Review: This book by Christine Toomey is believeable. Diana answers many questions we all have had since her death. I had just watch a documentary only days before the book arrived, about what was speculated to have occurred in the tunnel at the time of the accident. These were eye-witness accounts of those that were driving beside and out of the tunnel at the time of the accident. I had goosebumps reading the exact information in this book and some addition information which was most interesting. Having listened to lectures by those that have had near-death experiences and also read accounts of the after-life, In Her Own Words is a truly an incredible book. You will learn not only the answers you may have had about Diana, but also answers about the spiritual plane. The message touches your heart in many ways and lifts your spirits. It helps one understand that your life has great reason and purpose. Those you encounter are your lessons however painful or joyful they become. Life is a school and this book is a great study guide.
Rating: Summary: Don't Waste Your Money! Review: This book is so unbelievable it's hard to believe it ever got published. Supposedly Princess Diana picked this woman out of everyone to write her words. It doesn't sound like her at all and the only facts are ones widely known. It also alludes that someone might have shot at their car which has been disproven. Save Your Money!
Rating: Summary: Extraordinary validity Review: This extraordinary book rises above all question of doubt as to its validity because its information was shared with the author before that information was known by the world. No one but Diana could have shared this information with the author because no one but Diana would have known it at the time. Having myself spoken to the author about this, she assured me that the book was written immediately after the event and that it was later neither amended nor changed. Reading this book in the hindsight of the present, it is of course easy to say: "But all of this information is known!" The important thing to remember is, that it was not known in September of 1997 when the author was writing the book. At that time Diana told the author that a motorcycle and a light-colored car had been racing alongside Dodi's limo and suddenly caused a brilliant light to be flashed into the limo, blinding everyone in it, and it was that, that caused the crash. None of that was known at the time. And it wasn't until Diana's bodyguard, who was initially in a coma, then, even after regaining consciousness was unable to speak--or even remember what happened, until months later--finally revealed that all of those details were true. Diana further said it wasn't an accident, but a conspiracy to cause the limo to be wrecked. No one knew that at the time. And even though everyone, since, has insisted that there was no conspiracy, the facts surrounding the light-colored car all imply that there was! After the accident, it was discovered that a light-colored car had in fact sideswiped the limo, leaving traces of its paint on the limo. Why did the car come in contact with the limo? Could it have deliberately hit the limo to force the limo driver to swerve away from it and hit the pillar? No one ever came forward to admit being the driver of that car. The French police searched for that car for several years. It only recently was found. But its owner, it is claimed, is now--dead! Could anyone be expected to believe all that is not conspiratorial?!!! Diana prophesied that the circumstances of the conspiracy "will" "eventually" "become apparent." Of the facts about the car above, is that not part of the fulfillment of her prophesy?! The preceding is just a sampling of the relevancy and validity of the information of Ms. Toomey's book, for anyone who has the intelligence to appreciate the value of what they are being told. Considering the skepticism and, in some cases, even hostility of the public, the author is to be admired and applauded for having the courage to come forth to share this truth. Both the author and Diana are also to be appreciated for how their wonderful achievement was arrived at, for it took extraordinary ability on the part of each of them for it even to happen. --Donald Norsic, author of: TO SAVE RUSSIA
Rating: Summary: horrible!... Review: This is the worst book I have read on Princess Diana. The book made me cringe. It was so unbeleviably stupid that I could not even bring myself to finish it. Don't waste your money on this piece of [not good material]. The only reason I give it 1 star is because [website] does not allow for any thing less!
Rating: Summary: Fascinating Book! Review: This wonderful book is riveting! Many details of Diana's life, especially concerning the "accident", relayed to Christine by Diana herself have, AFTER publication, come to light as facts after all. Fascinating material by a very gifted lady! Nancy Gabler
Rating: Summary: A Great Read Review: Understanding the spiritual side, I can relate to how the book came about. I have also met Christine and found her to be honest and genuine and not one of those many 'I spoke to Diana, too' books. The things that she has said to me personally in a number of aspects have been pretty well on the nail. This also adds a tremendous amount of validation to the book from my point of view. I have also met some less than dubious chracters on the spiritual path, but Christine is definately not one of them! Great book, can't wait for the next book!
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: What a wonderful book, what a learning book. I have always admired Princess Diana, now I really admire her! Thank you.
