Rating: Summary: A must read for a beginner millioner Review: In my opinion this is a great book, It is easy to read and gives you a lot of things to think about. I have read the reviews and many people give this book bad ones, those people are the ones that are going to be poor for the rest of their lives. One review said: "If it is so easy why isn't everyone doing it" Well maybe they all think like you, Maybe you should open your mind and try new things, Don't be affraid!! What this book does is make you think, it is not going to tell you how to do things step by step, it will give you the main idea and the rest is up to you, don't foget when years go by, things change, 10 years ago the formula might have been different,it is all about the main idea and how you use it!!! I agree with people say that the writting is not the best, but don't forget he is not a writer he is an investor and he wrote this book in the way he thought it should be written, Just read it, enjoy it, try to absorb as much as you can and get motivated. I loved the book!!
Rating: Summary: Needs editor Review: This book could have been about 10 pages long if the author wouldn't have babbled on and on about his conversations with Rich Dad. I have his guide to investing too. Shut up already and give us the facts!
Rating: Summary: Is This A Cult ? Review: I must say that I haven't read this book yet and was browsing through the "Reviews" to see if I should buy a copy ........I was surprised to see how people who disagree with the author get attacked and ridiculed by the devotees of the author ...... Have never seen anything like this for a book .... Is this a cult with Mr. Kiyosaki being the beloved Cult leader who can never ever be wrong on any thing? .... Oh, boy ... 3 stars just to maintain my neutrality ..
Rating: Summary: Want to know who made money with RD's advice??? Review: Then pick up a copy of Rich Dad's Success Stories. If you want borderline slander, in fact, flat out lies, then read the 1 star reviews and you too can look forward to a life of sitting in front of your pc bashing good books and good people like Kiyosaki. And you too can look forward to a life of being broke, miserable and alone.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book for beginners Review: This book is simple, easy to read and straight to the point. It contains very valuable financial advice that is simplified and supplemented with examples. The perfect book for beginners, ages 15 to 30, and even new investors of all ages.
Rating: Summary: How many people who actually read this book become rich? Review: While I found the stories appealing at first, if you dig deeper into the book the message becomes evident: "You too can become rich with these simple techniques." In this sense it is no better than a get rich quick infomercial. The sad truth if there was such a simple formula to making money, everyone would do it. Just keep this in mind while reading or considering the purchase of these types of books.
Rating: Summary: What happened to Mr. Rat Fink(le)??? Review: Several months back there was a thread going on right here on this board between a buy claiming to be Mr. Finkle from Ct. and a bunch of reviewers who opposed his moronic and biased comments about this great book by Mr. Kiyoaski. I only just noticed that allof those reviews were deleted. Why? Because the overwheoming number of readers overwhelmed this guy with unhelpful votes to his reviews and articulate comments prooving that this guy never read the book? I wonder what would have happened if reviewers had not opposed Mr. Finkle? Let me guess, he would now be a Amazon Top "1000" reviewer right? AMAZON: Do you have any idea on how much $$$$ this idiot is costing you? Well, do you???
Rating: Summary: Good Opinion, BUT....What happened to the 5 star reviews? Review: A lot of interesting opinions onthis great, life changing book by Kiyosaki, but I too want to know what the heck happened to those bunch of 5 stars reviews that were and continue to be deleted? Is Amazon cherry picking what five star reviews can stay? Or are they only allowing five star reviews posted by the 1 star reviewers so those reviewers can obtain more votes and push themselves back into the Amazon "Top 500"??? What's up Amazon, hmmmmmmmmmm?????????????
Rating: Summary: A book more about philosophy Review: If you are looking for a book that telling you how to get rich fast and hoping getting a formula that let you retire at age of 40. This may not be the one you want. Actually, if there is a formula existing, everyone will be rich by now. This is more about a book point out different thinkings lead to different financial situations. I learned a lot from the book. from different angle to see the world of finance. Actually, I and my wife are so similar to the poor dad in the book. Good education background, two salaries, believe house is personal biggest asset, and of course, suffered from high mortgage, high California tax, high California sales tax, and high property tax. Before reading this book, I have my 'poor dad' financial planning. But it will only work if none of us are sick, disable, laid off and unemployed for long, oh, yeah, no big earthquake happened in next 30 years and no raised tax from congress and California Democrate. It's a gamble, but with 'poor dad' thinking, this is the only solution we have. This book not only telling me the truth I don't want to admit but also point out a different thinking that help me better prepare to stay afloat.
Rating: Summary: Pros & Cons, literally Review: First, I've taken a liking to recently reading books re: personal finance and investing. This book, though, only tells you how to make money after already having it. Not all of us can go to the bank and get a "$7000 certified check" to create an "investment property." Kiyosaki sounded stuffy and stuck on making money off of other people, using them in a way that made me dislike this style of promoting wealth. In his defense, Kiyosaki does lay out some key advice in terms of how and when (after they pay themselves) corporate America pays taxes. Also, the part about Manhattan is pretty sweet. He has some good diagrams and quotes; nevertheless, they (quotes) still sound hackneyed and tired. (You can find them in every finance book: "Winners aren't afraid of losing" ; "Failure is part of success" etc. Yawn.) If you have an excess of money you can burn, his ideas MAY work for you--if, however, you don't have that extra $50,000 in your savings account, this book will not help you as much as some others. Don't waste your time. Or, how about this: just save it for light reading on the airplane or at the beach--this way, at least you will look important and intelligent and, most important, wealthy. My best advice though: buy the book now, hang onto it, sell it in 10 years, put your capital gains into your 1031 tax-deferred exchange, then buy a larger, more expensive book!!
