Summary: THE BEST OF THE SERIES!!!!
Review: This book is definetely the best of all four! Alanna is now Jon's squire and will soon face the dreaded ordeal! She also fights her first battle against the Tusaine. Alanna's hatred of Duke Roger turns into fear as she pieces the puzzle together. This book was totally awesome ! You feel as if your Alanna!! I also like how Alanna must choose between George and JOn who both want her affection! I suggest you read the books in order! but no matter how you read them make sure you read IN The Hand of The Goddess!!!!!

Summary: Alanna Rocks
Review: True, my name is definately Alana. But just because my name is almost exactly like Alanna's doesn't mean that's why I like this book...hehe...even though it's part of it. I only read the first book because she had my name (or the other way around) and when I got into it I thought it was really awesome. but my favorite so far has been 2 and 4. I am in total love with George hehe, and I love that it has included my favorite color Purple. Yet it shows that a girl can do anything she puts her mind to. I enjoy the whole love and fight thing going on between them. It makes it intruiging (S/p). I know I enjoyed these books and also The Immortals as soon as I found out that Alanna was in one of them.

Summary: The best book in the Lioness Quartet series!
Review: I loved this book! If there is any of Tamora Pierce's books that I read over and over again, it's this one. The sheer enjoyability and good reading in this is comparable to triple fudge chocolate cake. I'm not sure quite how she does it, but she adds a sort of mystical flavour to all her books, and this one in particular is great. When I finished reading this, I felt like I had devoured a really good meal. :) Perhaps not intellectually stimulating... but this book does seem to have a quality to it that is simple, yet intelligent... a lesson in every day people politics.

Summary: COOL
Review: My friend from school had let me borrow her Allana The First Adventure to read and I thought I wouldn't like it,but you know I took it to be polite. Then when I started reading it I totally fell in love with the series. This book is totally the best out of the quartet by far.It is not just playing hero all the time for Alanna either. She has to face her fears of love, the ordeal, and Duke Roger and she beats all three. So it has a little romance in it;that is what makes part of the book;trying to figure out who will win her love,Prince Jon or George Cooper.Over all it is an excellent book and I recomend it to anyone and everyone who loves adventure, suspence, and romance. It is an absolute pager turner.

Summary: Not Appropriate for 9-12. Move to Young Adult.
Review: While I enjoyed the story line of this book, I clearly found the relationship between Jon and Alanna inappropriate for 9-12 year olds. This book should not be listed in that area, but in young adults.

Summary: In the Hand of the Goddess
Review: I loved this book sooooo much! it was by far the best in the Song of the Lioness quartet! The whole series was good, but in this one, she starts to grow into herself, Alanna, not Squire Alan. When the goddess comes to visit her, she tells Alanna her three fears, love, the Ordeal of Knighthood, and Duke Roger of Conte. She eventually comes to terms with all of these fears. This book is a great combination of adventure, fantasy, and romance. Once you read this book, you will find yourself asking for the exciting next book in the series, The Woman Who Rides LIke a Man.

Summary: A great combination of action, adventure, and romance =)!
Review: I had really enjoyed the first Allana book and liked this book even more! I loved the action and adventure, especially the Ordeal of Knighthood. I really liked the romance between Allana and Jon. =) I can't wait to read the next Allana book.

Summary: A lovely, well written story!
Review: In The Hand of the Goddess is a wonderful sequel to the first Song of the Lioness book. Alanna is older more mature and used to palace life. She conquers evil spirits, shares her secret and becomes a knight. I think this book is a wonderful book, with intricate detail and new exciting characters. It dug right in to the next chapter of Alanna and was excellent! A lovely book!

Summary: Tamora Pierce Review
Review: The Song of the Lioness Quartet is a rather interesting story. In the Hand of the Goddess is the book in the series with the most interesting plot, except for the Tusaine War which tends to get a bit tiring. Although the storyline is interesting in this series, the writing isn't very interesting. The only thing that keeps you reading is the story line and not the good writing. I would recommend the Circle of Magic Series by Tamora Pierce more because of its better writing, and the more complex storyline.

Summary: This is a GOOD book!
Review: This is the best book in the world. When I got the series for my birthday, I read this one over and over again. I think that it is the best book in the series! I told all my friends about it and they loved it to. Except for one. She wouldn't even try it.I am telling everyone that they should read this series.
