Summary: It's Ok but it ain't great
Review: It was ok, easy to read, i only read it for English. But it ain't that great, it just tells every teenagers life in words on paper, we;re all different, you don't have to be an immigrant to be different or have an alcoholic father. Well written but still, it aint that great

Summary: What I Thought........
Review: This is such a great book!!! actually it's one of the best books I've ever read. It's my fave along with "Soup for the Teenage Soul". I think this would be a great book for any teen. Josie is an Italian living in Australia and she is caught between two cultures. Also she goes to a very rich school with lot's of weathly people who she mixes with but she is not one of them. She is there on a Scholarship. Throught out this book she deals with her long lost father. And other members of her family. She also deals with the usual teen troubles and is caught between 2 guys who come from 2 different worlds. I seriously could not put this book down. It's a *MUST READ* and I can't wait for another book by Melina Marchetta!

Summary: MUST READ!!!!
Review: Speaking from the point of view as a 16 year old who is going to start year 12 next year this book talks about a lot of the problems that young people today are going through. Josephine Alibrandi tells us about her problems and we compare ours to her. This book is a brilliant book and is a must read. I will admit that I never would have read it if it wasn't for a school assignment but I will never regret reading it because it is one of the best books I will ever read

Summary: A wonderful, heart-felt story!
Review: Coming from an Italian family who was born, raised, and who has still close ties in Australia, I just want to thank the author for writing this wonderful coming of age story. The story realistically portrays what it feels like to be raised in an Italian family living in a different country. The story was not only funny, but was so full of emotion that I couldn't put it down til I finished it. Set in Sydney, Australia, it shows the rest of the world that Australia is not just the "outback filled with kangaroos" but a country filled with "diversity." As a librarian, I know the importance of reading about people that are like you, and I wished that this book had been there for me when I was 17 like "Jozzie." I will definitely recommend it to readers on this side of the world!

Summary: MUST READ!!!!!!
Review: This book makes you understand that you are not alone in feeling confused and over-protected, the older you become. Josephine represents you. She is easy to relate to, even if you're not Italian, and she helps you to get through those difficult decisions. A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: THIS BOOK IS THE BEST
Review: I totally loved this book. It's funny and serious at the same time. I had to read it for school but I don't regret it. Everyone should read it. Josephine is a completely lovable character and it makes you see the other side of things.

Summary: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK THAT REFLECT A TEENAGERS LIFE!!!!!
Review: I am a teenager, and I received this book today. I could not put it down! I loved Josephine, and the conflicts she had with her mother and her grandmother because I come from an Italian family and I don't get along with my Italian side either! I found myself crying at some points in the book (those who have read it and enjoyed it as much as I did will know what Im talking about!) I strongly suggest that anyone who is a teenager, or is confused about how teens think should definetly read this book! I certaintly hope that Melina Machetta writes another book, because her first was terrific!!

Summary: ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!
Review: What an excellent book! Here in Sydney, Australia, we are actually required to study this novel for our HSC. What a way to go!! It's such a pleasure to read because, being a teenager growing up in the 90's in Sydney, it really relates to my friends and I. Marchetta has really captured the lifestyle, thoughts and feelings into this great novel!! Someone should make a screenplay!! =)
