Rating: Summary: Best "Psychology Book" Ever Written !!! Review: I have personally given out over 20 copies of this book to graduates, people going through rough places in life, etc. Although FOUND in the children books section of the store, it is really an EXCELLENT book for ALL ADULTS! STRONGLY RECOMMEND PURCHASE.
Rating: Summary: GREAT FOR GRADS! Review: This is a great book for graduating seniors due to the books content and story line, with the day coming fast i suggest you get the book for the grad you know, excellent! i love it!
Rating: Summary: The most inspirational Book I ever read Review: Two weeks ago I read this book for the first time and found it to be one the best books I ever read. It wasn't sugar-coated saying that no matter what you'll always be the best but it was laced with reality saying that sometimes you'll be tops and other times you'll be in the lurch. It is the perfect gift for graduation, job promotion, or any other crossroads in one's life. I have several friends graduating this June and I know exactly what I am getting for gifts!
Rating: Summary: A Must Read for Every Adult Striving for Success Review: This book could only have been written by someone who has been "around the block" and experienced life in its many facets. Dr. Suess sends a message that is not only uplifting but realistic and full of truth. A great gift for any adult or child. Spread the word. We all need a little reassurance now and then no matter who we are.
Rating: Summary: A Parable of our lives. I cried and given to associates. Review: I have read the typical Seussian book which is a fantastic alegory of our career "ups and downs." I have given it to my son and daughter, and staff, managers, and directors in companies I work for. Dr. Seuss, and possibly no one else, has written such an insightful book in such a pleasant format.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for graduates! Review: I first heard of this book two years ago (I'm now 23). I've already given it to three friends graduating from college and really hope to be on the receiving end someday. Dr. Seuss has captured a very important message in his wonderful manner from which people of all ages can take away a special meaning. It makes a treasured personal gift that lends itself to having a note to the recipient written on the inside. A must for anyone embarking on a new "journey" at any age!
Rating: Summary: A brilliant insight to life Review: This book makes the perfect gift for anybody who's starting a new phase in their life, whether it be school, university, a new job, moving to a new town, whatever. It's also a book that you can read when you're discouraged and it will always pick you up because "You'll move mountains!!!" Dr. Seuss, you're a genius.
Rating: Summary: A book for all people. Review: Happening upon this book while perusing a bazaar, and having a little time to kill as I was waiting for my friends to finish up, I figured I might as well give it a quick read. It was not quite a life changing experience, but it came close. Although I have long respected Suess for his wisdom, I never realized that a book written in such simple language and apparently targetting kids could be so profound, containing in a nut-shell what is life is all about, regardless of who you are. This book is definately a must read.
Rating: Summary: Dr. Seuss book is more than a kids classic. Review: Oh the Places You'll Go is one of those great children's books that also jumps the genre into being a regular cheering section for people on their way to growing up. I often give this book as a gift to middle school through college graduates, friends celebrating milestone birthdays and new parents. It is an allogory of LIFE with all it's highs (playing games on TV)and lows (waiting). Along with the big lessons of life we get the wonderful cadence of language and surreal art of Dr. Seuss. This book is a timeless classic, a great gift and;call me a sentimental fool; a tearjerker. I always get a lump in my throat and damp eyelashes when reading this ditty.
Rating: Summary: A good book for any age, as you go through life Review: Dr. Seuss' book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go" was read to 5th graders at my school by high school students on Dr. Seuss' birthday. It was equally well-received by fellow-teachers at a "going away" party for a wonderful teacher who left for another position outside the school district. It would be a good gift for a student graduating from elementary school, high school, or college!
