Rating: Summary: My favorite Dr. Seuss book! Review: We give this book to our friends for birthdays, graduations, and anniveraries. It's perfect for anyone at a transitional time of life. Save this book for the adults in your life. Children just don't seem to understand it.
Rating: Summary: Fly in the Sky Review: Oh, the Places You'll Go is about a man who was going on a journey and it says at the beginning "You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose." You should read this book because I read it and loved it. The night after I read it I dreamed that I was that boy and I went to all these places he went. You will see in this book all the places he can go and you can go, too. I think anyone who reads this book will like it.

Moving along to a far away country that you never heard of are among the places you'll go. Flying in an air balloon to the edges of the earth. Seeing all different kinds of animals you've never heard before are some of the places you'll go. WIth your trials and tribulations conqueres and conquested, you will win out , cause "kid, you'll move mountains!" Oh, the Places You'll Go!
Rating: Summary: Oh The Places You'll Go Review: This is the most profound description of life in the big open world, better than any poet or philosopher could have written. Should be required reading for every high school and college student. A must read for every being on this planet.
Rating: Summary: Not Just For Children Review: I received this book from a dear friend on my 40th birhday. I have given it to both of my children when they graduated from high school. This book has so many encouraging ideas for children, young adults, recent graduates or anyone who is moving into a different chapter in their lives. It is one of the best books ever written and who knew so many adults would find so many positive ideas in a wonderful childrens book.
Rating: Summary: Inspiration without the cheesy self-help attitude Review: Upon entering a new job shortly after having graduated from my hometown University in Germany, I came across "Oh, the places" through a new colleague of mine. She said that she had carried her well-thumbed copy around with her for a long time, and frequently referred back to it, especially while working abroad. I instantly loved the book. I wish there was an inspired German translation around, so that kids without the language skills could benefit from this never-simplistic advice. The story about the drill sargeant (reader's review below) tells it all: Go, get the book!
Rating: Summary: Excellent and inspirational! Review: I gave this book to my cousin when she graduated from high school. Unfortunately I was late in shipping it to her as she had joined the Army Reserves and was already in boot camp, so her Mother had to forward the book to her. There was a policy that recruits could not receive packages while in boot camp,so her Drill Sergeant made her open the package in his presence. He read the book and was so moved that he asked her to read it aloud to the entire platoon. When she finished, they all had tears in their eyes. She said it was the perfect message for the new recruits. All future graduates will receive a copy of OH THE PLACES YOU'LL GO! from me. Thank you Dr. Seuss, you are a genius!
Rating: Summary: Great for the pre-schooler as well as the college grad! Review: I first heard this book read on a radio program while driving, I had tears in my eyes and knew that I had to buy this as a graduation present for my daughter who was to be graduating from college in a week. My descision was based on the fact that she learned to read using Dr. Suess before entering kindergarten, why not end her scholastic career with Dr. Suess. She loved and apprecatied the gift and I'm sure she'll share it over and over with her nieces and nephews and her own children someday. It's so to the point, you have shoes on your feet and brains in your head....
Rating: Summary: A great book for anyone making decisions about their life. Review: When I graduated from high school my teacher read this book to my class. It gave me strength to face the world out of high school. I gave a copy to my roommate who was going through some tough decisions about her major. I also bought it for another friend who has to make career choices as well. It is a great reminder for people when they come of age to remember their childhood. When decisions were a lot easier.
