Summary: a classic, but ...
Review: I know this is a classic, but I have to say, it's not the best for small children ... too many parts and pieces to get torn or ripped, or lost. Better for older children who are gentle on books (3 and up? and no younger kids who can/will get their hands on it). It's very sweet and I certainly have fond memories of it from when I was a child/babysitter.

Summary: A classic form childhood
Review: Fun for a baby to touch and smell the different pages. Board book form allows it to be read easily using one hand. Exactly the same book I enjoyed as a kid. Rips apart more easily than I would like.

Summary: A Classic that Really Impacts
Review: Our 2 year old daughter got this book when she was a few months old. She immediately loved touching the bunny - and quickly learned to turn the pages - to look in the mirror with Judy. By 7 months she was smelling the flowers, putting her finger in the ring and playing peek a boo with Paul. At 9 months she would ask us to let her smell all the flowers in the garden and on the street. She still loves the book and enjoys when we read it with her and her new baby brother (4 months old).

Summary: a childhood favorite!!
Review: I am 26, but I think that the first time i read Pat the Bunny, by Dorothy Kunhardt, was when I was 2 years old!!! And as I have continued to be an avid reader throughout my lifetime, I will never forget this classic!! The simplistic yet interactive book comes to life for a child's eyes and mind. It really gives the child a chance to feel like they are "part" of the book. Even though we are so far into technology and children spend time on computers, Pat the Bunny is a favorite because of its' appeal to old fashioned reading!!!

Summary: My son's absolute favorite book (he's 1 year old)
Review: My son got this book when he was 2 or 3 months old. We would read it to him occasionally as he was getting older. When he got to be about 6 months, he could do most of the things in the book (play peek-a-boo with Paul, pat the bunny, etc.). Now that he is a year, he does everything -- he waves to Paul & Judy, he puts his finger in the ring, smells the flowers, etc. He loves this book so much, the cover has come off and we have to purchase another.

The great thing about this book is that there is something fun for them to do on every page, and it grows with your child. The only drawback I found is that it's not super-durable if your child really loves it and reads it over and over and over and over... :-)

Summary: Perfect book for baby!
Review: I bought this book for my youngest son who is 11 months old. The first time we read it, he laughed out loud when he saw his reflection in the little mirror in the book. The second time we read it, he knew to touch the bunny's fur & Daddy's scratchy beard and put his finger through Mummy's ring on his own. For some reason this book holds his attention like no other. As others have mentioned, it is not very durable, however, I just keep it in my room to read at bedtime, I don't let him play with it. It is really a sweet little book!

Summary: Don't buy the boxed set - Just buy Pat the Bunny
Review: Pat the Bunny is great, but Pat the Cat and Pat the Puppy are poor copies. Their activities are not as toddler-friendly, and I wish that I had only bought Pat the Bunny.

Summary: Great even for a 6 month old
Review: My baby went crazy for this book and her age (6 months) seems to be perfect for it. Her favourite pages are pat-the-bunny (a fuzzy bunny on the page), peek-a-boo (where Paul's face is hidden with a piece of cloth) and Judy's book (a miniature book attached to the larger book). She hyperventilates with excitement when we get to these pages, and after a few tries was able to make the right movements for Paul to play peek-a-boo and to turn the pages on Judy's book. She is not an avid roller but she will roll across a whole blanket to get to this book. The only negatives of this book is that the pages are thin and have sharp corners. She chews on the pages, so I don't know how long they'll last, and when she waves the book around I am afraid she will hit herself in the eye with its sharp corners. We solve both these problems by only reading the book together (I don't leave it around as a toy). Other than that, it's hard to imagine a better book for a 6 month old.

Summary: Get your baby involved
Review: A friend gave this book to my son for his first birthday. At first, he didn't mind it at all, since the cover is in pastel colors. But soon after, it became his favorite book! He does all the tricks ahead of me, like patting the bunny and putting his finger in the hole. He just loves it! We read and play with it at least 5 times (yes, 5 times, i memorized it already!) each time he picks it up, which is at least 2 or 3 times a day. Instead of just reading to him, get him involved with books. And this is the perfect book for the job!

Summary: Children will love the pictures, and touching the story...
Review: This was my daughter's first book. I had hoped to save her copy for my youngest daughter, but she wore it out, and ripped the pages. So, I bought a new copy and both girls still love reading it together. It is a timeless classic that will always appeal to the toddler's sense of touch.

This would make a great shower gift for baby and I give it 5 stars because it is fun to read and feel.
