Summary: #1 on the preschool hit parade
Review: My 3 and 4 1/2 year old boys love this book. The only problem is there are so many stories they like, they want me to sit there and read story after story after story! I've been introduced to a lot of great children's lit that I've never been aware of before. Yes, I'd quibble with a few of the choices, and yes, it would be nice if you could have all the pictures in their full-size format, but when you're getting 44 stories for the price of 4, you can't complain too much. It may even prompt me to go out and buy a couple of the kids' favorite stories in the regular format so they can see all the pictures (say, Swimmy), which I'm sure would delight all of the publishing parties involved. Read and enjoy!

Summary: This is a GREAT book! All the best stories in one place!
Review: I am thrilled with this book. I love having all these great stories in one book, instead of dozens of little books.

Summary: My throat is raw from reading to my 3 year old.
Review: I bought this book for my daughter for Christmas. She will be three on January 5th. She has insisted that my husband and I read every story. Even the ones intended for older children with very few pictures. It is an excellent way to find out which books will be her favorites. Instead of spending a great deal of money on each book individually. I plan to give it to my niece as a baby shower gift. I think every parent should have this book.

Summary: As a teacher, the best present I could ask for!
Review: This is an excellent collection of some of the more recent children's classics. It makes an excellent gift or addition to your own personal library, with books that will be suitable for a range of ages.

Summary: A must for the family bookshelf!
Review: I read to my children each evening but for the three weeks that we have had this wonderful book we have touched no other at bedtime. They shout, "We'll get 'The Book'!"

Summary: A wonderful and convenient way to share classic kid stories
Review: What a great idea for our children and us parents. I love the idea of one book containing so many wonderful and fun to read stories. I am sure this will soon be my childrens favorite bed time, anytime, companion. I can't wait to start reading more of it myself. Share it with your kids soon. I know I will. And the Amazon price cannot be beat.

Summary: A wonderfully compiled book of childrens favorite stories.
Review: Although we missed the turning of pages and the bigger pictures in the orignal book, this book was wonderful. Our family ranging in ages from 9 - 37 yrs old all found their favorite stories. Even our 10 month old likes to stare at the illustrations.

Summary: I bought three copies!
Review: One for us, one for the grand parents and one for my niece who has a one year old. This is such a great idea, I can't believe no one has done it before. My two year old and my four year old both love this book for different reasons. It's a new experience each time we open it because they choose different stories each time.

Summary: My children's favorite book
Review: This collection of stories is great for families that have readers at different levels. Both my 3 year-old and 5 year-old quickly found favorite stories. There are recognizable faces (Arthur and Madeline), as well as the classics like "Goodnight Moon". With all of the original illustrations included, this book is a well-designed keepsake that your children will read for many years and likely want to pass down to their children. If for no other reason, buy this book and read the story "The Stinky Cheese Man". You will be happy with this book, and so will your children.

Summary: a marvelous book
Review: I sent this book as a gift for relatives to read with my niece and nephews. My aunt says it is a marvelous book with a good selection of stories, and she especially likes the idea of the graded levels so that you can tell at a glance which story is good for which child.
