Rating: Summary: You MUST have this book! Review: This book was the first book my daughter loved as a baby. We have most of the Boynton books, but this is the all-time favorite. She's 2 and still asks for it (we have it memorized now)!
Rating: Summary: Fun book for ANY time, not just bed time Review: My 3 year old loves the silly words, colorful pictures and fun phrases in this book. She wants it read at all times during the day and night, not for bedtime. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: We just love this book - STILL at 3 1/2 Review: My son has had this book forever, but it's still one of his favorites. I always try to make it the last one I read, because it's such a nice calm book. And despite the confusing excercise part, it helps with his bedtime routine. The other night he asked me why they had to "find pajamas, big and small." This led to a discussion about the different sizes of the animals in the book.Of course, he's had it memorized forever and now "helps" me read it. I will start reading it to my 6 month old now!
Rating: Summary: lots of fun! Review: The thing I like most about this book is how much fun it is to read. I started reading to my daughter even before she was born and the rhyming is really what got her attention at first. This is the type of book that your kids will bring to you and beg you to read it. The bonus is that unlike some children's books, you don't mind reading it for the hundreth time!
Rating: Summary: Best Bedtime Book! Review: I have been reading to my 5&1/2 month old son every night since he was born and sometimes he'll sit through several books and other times he won't pay attention at all. I save this book for last each night and EVERY single time he stops everything and listens to every word of the book and he INSTANTLY calms down. It is amazing! I don't know if it is because we read it every night without fail as the last book (consistency?) or if it is because of the book itself but he absolutely loves it even at his young age. I highly reccomend this book to read each evening.
Rating: Summary: Soothing and rhythmic -- puts YOU to sleep for sure! Review: This book was written years ago By now all parents HAVE to know There's no finer way to fall asleep Than Boynton's bouncy moose and sheep; If you enjoy her rhyming words Of geese and mice and bees and birds There's no finer way to brighten kids' eyes Than wrapping this up for their surprise! Better fuel up on caffeine before reading this to your little guys, or its rhythms will soothe you to dreamland before you know it. I don't think this has gotten a bad review yet, so I think I'll just join the crowd in recommending this book to every parent, wannabe parent, or friend/relative of a parent. Or just buy it for yourself and read yourself to sleep... Boynton's classic bouncy animals sure beat counting sheep!
Rating: Summary: Gets them to bed! Review: This is a wonderful, silly book that your toddler will love. All of Boynton's books are superb!
Rating: Summary: One Of My Daughters Favorites! Review: My 19 month old daughter has not found a book that she doesn't like, she's on of those kids who would rather have a book than a toy. But this book she is absolutly crazy about!! Since Santa brought it for her in she stocking. We read this book at least five times a day. My daughter has a few other books by this author but this is for sure my daughter's (and mom and dad's) favorite!!
Rating: Summary: Charming! Review: This is absolutely wonderful and so far the only book my girls really love. It's easy to read the story in an animated way and you can make believe with your kids that you're scrubbing up, brushing your teeth and rocking right along with the characters in the book. It's just short enough and charming enough that I haven't gotten tired of reading it to them yet :)
Rating: Summary: A wonderful 6-18 month bedtime story! Review: The pictures (like all the Boynton books)are adorable! It's a fun book to read and our 10 month-old enjoys listening to it and looking at the pictures. I say 6-18 month because we expect to start reading longer stories once she gets a little older, but a few of these short Boynton books work great for short attention spans.
