Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book! Review: My daughter has loved this book for many months. She is now 22 months old. She turns the pages herself and also says the sounds and "no, no" when the pigs say la, la, la. Very cute. I have all the words memorized so she can turn the pages as I recite it. We have may books-this is one of our favorites!
Rating: Summary: 15 Month Old Loves It Review: My 15 month old son just loves this book. He walks arounds saying La La La when he wants us to read this one to him. I highly recommend this one.
Rating: Summary: Facilitates Language Development Review: As an early intervention speech-language pathologist, I find this book irresistible from a language development perspective. The rhymes are engaging and simple and children delight in the absurdity of Boynton's text. Animal sounds are often some of the first "words" children acquire. I have used this as a clinician and I use it now as the mother of three pre-schoolers. A must-have for any pre-school library.
Rating: Summary: Great Little Book! Review: My 4 month old loves this book! I take it out and start reading it to her and she just smiles and looks at the pages! I think its a great introduction to books and to animals and the sounds they make.
Rating: Summary: This is the best children's book ever! Review: My daughter absolutely adores this book. At 18 months she actually reads the book back to me! She points to each page and makes the animal sound, until she gets to the pigs where she just says..."no no" since she knows the pigs should say oink! I actually enjoy reading this book myself!
Rating: Summary: We've been through a few well-loved copies! Review: This is the perfect book to read from newborn on up. Boynton's fun rhyming style (a cow says "moo", a sheep says "baa", three singing pigs say "la la la") is enjoyable and catchy for the youngest listeners. Both of my kids loved this book so much that more than one copy fell apart and had to be replaced (due to use, not poor quality.) I have given it as a gift many times and it has been as well loved by everyone. I am now buying a copy for my newborn nephew. A must have in any baby or toddler reading library!
Rating: Summary: Cute Review: Love the book - it is just perfect for my 9 months old daughter. I either read it to her or she will leaf through it on her own, smiling at the pictures.
Rating: Summary: The Best! Review: This book is my son's (2 1/2) absolute favorite and has been since before he turned one. He can recite almost the entire thing by heart, as a result of the number of times we have read it together. I buy this book as a gift always. It is fabulous, as are most of the Sandra Boynton books.
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK! Review: Someone gave this to my daughter as a gift and I have been reading this to her since she was born! She loves the colorful pictures and she always laughs when the cow says "moo". This is a great book to read to the little ones!!!
Rating: Summary: My Babys Favorite Review: This is my Baby's favorite book we have read it to her since she was only days old and we both know it of by heart. I recite it to my friends they think its great and get it for their children. My baby's face lights up every time we read it the only down side is that we have a hole collection of Sandra Boynton books now Barnyard Dance is also a favorite. You will find that you will have a collection to, reading the same one over and over gets abit much that is why I had to get more maybe they were for me but Baby does enjoy.
